  1. Excellent pictures Jean! This second HT will have you set for a very long time.. if not forever. Looking forward to seeing your final result.
  2. I agree with Spex and the timeline. I have never heard of a HT become complete in terms of growth at 4 months. Typically for most people, its the time when the initial growth occurs. Did you go to the same surgeon as your first procedure? You stated "several HT surgeons told me that if there was no growth at four months, there wouldn’t be any growth." I am sorry but that is false! Who told you that? I also find it very odd that the clinic is already working on a refund for you @ 4 months.
  3. I agree with both Melvin and Bill. I suggest looking at the recommended surgeon list! If I was to go to Turkey it would be with the Asmad clinic (Dr. Erdogan) as he consistently produces quality and natural results. Good luck to your brother!
  4. Don’t worry shedding is common and expected. As Spex mentioned ride it out!
  5. Passingthru, You have a lot of hair and your hairline is pretty solid. It’s good that you are proactive and started taking medication to combat hair loss. I would definitely stick to both minox and finasteride for a year before any assessment. If you’re concerned about side effects they can come about later (the percentage of getting sides is low) but just continue to monitor it and adjust dosages if necessary. To answer your question, I have seen several cases like yours over the years and these individuals have achieved thicker hair and re-growth. At the very least the meds will maintain what you have.
  6. Based on those pictures I would say getting 4500 grafts via FUE is a stretch. In addition at NW6 you won’t achieve full coverage. This doesn’t mean a HT wouldn’t provide a cosmetic difference for you. I would just be realistic with your expectations. Are you on any medication? ie minox or fin? It looks like you’re considering Turkey for a potential HT. Take a look at the recommended surgeons on this site. In your case I would suggest Dr. Erdogan as he does many large sessions and does quality work.
  7. Solid choice. Great addition! HTsoon seems quite knowledgeable and is helpful based on some of his posts I’ve read.
  8. Density does seem to be picking up. I would wait until the year mark as the hair becomes thicker and similar characteristics to that of your native hair.
  9. Some good points made in this thread. I agree with the comments regarding Dr. Konior. He does amazing work! Perfectionist.
  10. I definitely see some growth but question the number of grafts. You had a large area to cover and we all know the crown takes a lot of grafts to get an ideal result. Have you spoken to your surgeon?
  11. Are these all 14 month post op result pictures? It’s difficult to give you an opinion without clearly marked pictures and not including pre op pictures and/or pictures with graft placement.
  12. Donald, if that’s the surgeon you want to go with it’s your decision in the end. Mike was just giving his opinion of what he’s heard or seen to help you make an informed choice. Personally, I’ve never really heard of him but that doesn’t mean he’s not skilled. Good luck.
  13. Congrats on your HT! I did read your other thread. So you did end up getting the hairline work in addition to the crown after all. It looks good. You chose an excellent surgeon as I’ve seen a lot of good work from Dr. Bhatti.
  14. Crown growth does typically take longer. It could be due to the amount of blood supply in that area, not entirely sure. I’ve seen several cases where it takes over the year mark to fully mature. You’re looking good. Definitely see a lot of new hair.
  15. akhtarsahil, It’s difficult to provide an opinion without any pictures. Do you have pictures of the donor area and your hair currently? As for the AHD clinic, I am not too sure if they resolved the quality issue they were having for a period of time. It’s quite possible they have. Perhaps someone can chime in on the clinic.
  16. Baldrick, Just saw your pre-op pictures to where you are now.. Very nice looking result @ 7 months! You’ve come along way. By the time you’re at the one year mark expect those hairs to mature and thicken to that resembling your native hair.
  17. OP, I think a HT can definitely improve your frontal area, however you need to have realistic expectations about grafts and have your hair loss under control. I would listen to the advice of Jean and others who are telling you to at least give Fin a shot. You will continue to lose hair and those native hairs behind the potentially transplanted area will begin to recede further. It will not look good. I’ve been through 3 HT’s so this is coming from personal experience.
  18. We all know the crown can require a significant amount of grafts in order to get adequate coverage. Fantastic result with only that number of grafts used!
  19. Luke, Great progress so far given your HT is just under 4 months. The exciting period is just about to start for you!
  20. Temples. These points can be constructed by a surgeon but it depends on your degree of hairloss and if its even realistic for your situation. Best would be to do a consult to see if its feasible.
  21. Manual, I don't think I've ever seen anyone do daily progress updates. It's pretty cool. Everything is looking good and you're almost at the 90 day milestone mark! Growth should kick in like crazy soon and I am looking forward to seeing your results.
