  1. Awesome result! You've come a long way from your pre op pics. Happy for you!
  2. Work looks good SWDan! I am surprised however you took a chance and shaved your head on your own the next day post OP. Should of stayed a day or two post OP for cleaning and evaluation but it seems like everything is fine. Hope you grow well!
  3. I disagree. This is not just bias because I've gone with Rahal as one of my docs. I did look into Diep among others prior to my first HT. He's good don't get me wrong. Cheaper? Not really if you factor in the currency difference between the US and CDN dollar.
  4. Justin, Looking great for 4 months. Big difference from the previous month!
  5. I had pretty advanced hair loss and I knew getting into HT's I had to devise a plan and plan multiple procedures to achieve the result that I wanted. This was my last and final one but If I had to choose between the two I honestly couldn't. Both are world class.
  6. You can't go wrong with either one. See signature.
  7. No. Transplanted hair comes from the safe zone and are permanent thus it will not fall out in the future. The only way that it would is when grafts are taken outside of the safe donor area where those grafts may be subject to DHT. This rarely happens happens if at all as your surgeon will be able to map those areas.
  8. You won't see the scar at a #3 or #4 clip guard. By the way, Dr. Arocha is excellent too. Always forget about him for some reason!
  9. Baldeagle1982, To answer your questions.. 1. Tightness wasn't an issue with the second procedure. If you have a skilled surgeon + do scalp exercises, you won't have any worries. I've had both FUT and FUE without any problems. 2. Recovery was better the second time as you know what to expect and the lower graft count. 3. Can't give you an answer on that without seeing your pictures. Having said that, I think 1500 grafts will go a long way if you need temple work and/or adding hairline density etc.. it all depends on your hair loss. 4. I just had positive thoughts and a overall good vibe during the recovery phase because I knew it would be successful having chosen the best docs possible and took great care with pre/post op. I set myself up for success and did everything I could to get the best outcome. In addition, I wanted to have unlimited styling options and this was the way to do it. I didn't want to worry about hair anymore and it paid off. 5. Hard to give you an exact quote. Price per graft varies per doctor and it depends on whether you're doing FUE (more costly) or FUT. Other factors like foreign currency, travel etc.. might apply. You're best bet would be to contact the doctor of your choice and get some pricing info.
  10. I agree with a lot of what Shera as mentioned. edit: and speegs above too In my opinion, you should go with FUT first to maximize your grafts. If you go to a top doc the scar is really minimal and not noticeable at a certain hair length. If you go FUE you will need multiple procedures guaranteed to achieve the result you desire as your hair loss seems extensive. There is host of other reasons why you shouldn't do FUE first as described already by the guys. I wouldn't limit yourself to just your local area for a HT. Go for the best. Honestly, to determine if you're a candidate I would do a consult with a top notch surgeon as they would be able provide guidance and a plan to go forward.
  11. Dr. Erdogan or Dr. Keser. Personally those two would be my only choices in Turkey.
  12. Neverlosehope, Sorry to hear about your situation. You should create your own thread as you will get more exposure. As for options now I think you're quite limited that's why its essential for people getting HT's to carefully manage their donor supply.
  13. Both are top notch docs. You can't go wrong with either!
  14. I just had mine done a few weeks ago and I waited for one year to be scheduled in. I believe there is still currently a year wait to be booked in with Dr. Konior. I've never heard him say he's not accepting new patients. Your best bet would be to get in touch with his office for more accurate information.
  15. We appreciate you posting pictures. So you received 2500 grafts? You mentioned you had your significant other count the grafts? I've never heard of anyone doing that. Keep in mind based on your hair loss 2500 grafts won't give you the coverage you're looking for. The area is too vast for the number of grafts used. I don't want to comment on how the graft placement looks. Also, I haven't heard of your surgeon but if you're happy then that's all that matters. Hope you grow well!
  16. Am I the only one thinking that this is a pretty good result for 1600 grafts? You had a large area to cover and sure I see your point of density on one side but from your pre op pictures i’d still say it was a really good improvement. Better pictures are necessary though.
  17. It's hard to tell from that picture. Perhaps post better pictures from multiple angles, which would certainly help get a better estimation on the # grafts. Also, we can only tell you our opinion as its best to consult with a HT doctor who would be able to get you a more accurate assessment.
  18. I have to agree with Matt here. I've personally not seen any positive results from laser alone (I've had friends/acquaintances/family members used it with varying degrees of hair loss). I haven't seen any female's try it though. I guess if there is a money back guarantee it can't hurt right?
  19. Seniormido, I've noticed you posted the same question 3-4 different times. You got solid advice from both mikeyhwk and shera. In my opinion, I think your donor area is very limited and you won't get the coverage you desire. I highly doubt you'll be able to get 4000+ grafts as you indicated in prior threads. This is just my opinion, you're best bet is to do a consultation (in person would be better if you can) with a renowned doctor and get there expert advice on how to proceed if you are indeed solely focused on the HT route.
  20. Anthony, I haven't heard of the doctor you mentioned. It looks like he's in Toronto. If you're looking to travel a little bit I would go for Dr. Rahal in Ottawa. He is highly recommended here and does outstanding work.
  21. Also, if you're that concerned about your hair I would look into getting it repaired from a top surgeon. E.g. Dr. Konior in Chicago Dr. Rahal in Ottawa Dr. Hasson and Wong in Vancouver Dr. Lorenzo in Spain OR head over to Turkey there are 2 recommended surgeons from there and will be a bit cheaper.
  22. Sorry to hear about your experience and outcome. Unfortunately, Bosley is known to be butchers and there work is really terrible. In my opinion, they shouldn't be allowed to operate. Do you have better pictures so we all can assess the differences?
