  1. Agree with Mike. The lack of density is more of a problem thanthe doubles. I actually have a couple of natural doubles in my hairline believe it or not! I sure hope this wasn't the work of a HTN clinic.
  2. That was a fake video made by the uk press. It's a Rooney lookalike.
  3. I don't know where you're from but in the Uk we have a store that sells vitamins and health foods. They are called Holland & Barrett. A similar shop to that or even a Drug Store will probably sell them.
  4. Looks terrible:D! I don't think you will be needing further work for at least 25 years.
  5. Agreed. I also thnk you have lost more hair than just the corners. It seems to be thinning throughout the frontal 3rd. You have to give the meds a try before even contemplating surgery at such a young age.
  6. See if you can find a picture of him aged 29. Probably, without having any other photos to go on. More likely to continue losing over time. If you look at any male celeb they generally have less hair aged 60 than they did at 50. Hard one because as well as a receeding hairline he probably lost density as well. 10,000 follicles? Maybe 2,500-3,000 to get the NW2 'shape'. Depends on density requirements. It's quite good actually.
  7. It looks like you have some pretty severe thinning going on. i'd certainly wait 12-18 months to see how the medications pan out. You're still a bit young to be getting a HT although most doctors would probably sign up to 2000 grafts if they are used sensibly. In a strange way I kind of think you need to lose some more hair at the front before transplanting into that area. The hairline would effectively draw a line in the sand and subsequent proceedures would involve filling in behind it. Some topical concealers could work really well for you in the interim. Nanogen and Toppik being the obvious choices. ..and yes, see as many good Drs as possible or email/Skype them.
  8. Agree with greatjob's sentiments above. These nearly always seem to be surgeries from obscure clinics not recommended on this site. Welcome for anyone to prove me wrong though. I'd suggest reading up on donor closure techniques, e.g. trichophytic closure . I'm sure there will be good info out there on some clinics websites. Bernstein's has a lot of info on there I seem to recall.
  9. Both British: Alexander Armstrong (I've always thought some conservative work would greatly improve his hair.) Sir Chris Hoy (He looks ok due to his blond hair, but if he felt the need a dr could work wonders.)
  10. 'hairthere' kind of has similar hair to you (I think): http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170565-temple-point-forelock-update-15-months.html
  11. Well you do appear to have a great donor area and good hair qualities (it looks coarse with some natural curl). I'm no expert but I think you could get great coverage with 4200 grafts. If your scalp at the back is very loose you could even get total coverage with a bigger strip and more grafts. Unless someone has a solid front I don't think I've seen anyone start at the Crown and work forwards. I guess it depends which bit bothers you the most. I would think that treating the crown and letting the front receed may look worse than the other way around (easy for me to say as I hate my front). Hopefully some others will chime in...
  12. Can you take one of the donor area? If it were me I'd go for the maximum FUT with H&W. It looks like you will progress beyond a NW5 at some point and it is easier to switch from FUT to FUE than the other way around. FUE could be your insurance policy if the sides drop in the future. I guess it depends how important a short hairstyle is to you. I personally never go beyond grade 4/5 on the sides an with a shaved head I'd look like an extra from StarTrek.
  13. Great write up and thanks for the mention! I guess you noticed I occasionally point people to your results. I've just been watching some Dr Villnow interviews on Youtube. I see he did Ted Danson in the late 90s!
  14. Doesn't look too bad. Have you tried covering it up with concealers?
  15. He may not be top of most people's list but John Frank seems like a straight up kinda guy, and here's a good example of what he can do with FUE in your graft range: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169822-john-frank-md-new-york-fue.html
  16. This! Awesome result. This patient must have great donor characteristics.
  17. A picture of the donor area, a graft breakdown and an immediate post op photo would help. It does look like some hair is coming through, albeit slowly.

  20. Good luck, I do like Dr Arocha's work. Hard to tell how noticeable it will be. What's the number of grafts and area being fixed? Post a few photos if you can.
