  1. I recall seeing your photos a few months ago. It looks about right to me based on half your head covered and a low hair per graft count. Not sure how much more growth to expect but I would think it is not more than 25%.
  2. Thanks mate! lol Just saw JL at Wimbledon Centre court (on TV). He's buzzed down. My new pic is how my hair was 12 years ago.
  3. I noticed Mata last season. He does dye his hair and use concealers. Martinez seems to manage his loss by growing it out and combing it in a way which conceals the extent of the loss. I've always thought he would be a great candidate. He should go see Lorenzo in Manchester...
  4. Good post. As you can see below, my dose is ridiculously small but I'm sure it has improved my hair.
  5. I think it's a mixed bag. I've seen some people who look completely normal after 3 weeks and others who look obvious after 8 weeks. To a certain degree it is pot luck. One thing to remember is that 99% of the population know nothing about HTs. With a bit of luck you can make up a story like: "I had an alergic reaction to L'Oreal shampoo" or something; or how about "I went to a new barber and it was so bad I had to shave it off.." The best place to find examples is in the hairloss blogs: Hair Transplant Blogs
  6. Hello mate, Good luck with it all, I'm in a similar situation to you (I also live in London and flying to the US in 7 weeks time). Ron Shapiro is in the top 3 or 4 surgeons so you have nothing to worry about. You have chosen extremely well. I'm taking 5 weeks off work and hoping it will be less noticeable after that period. A lot depends on the redness but in the final week I'll be experimenting heavily with concealers etc. Yes, I'm thinking of going to a different hairdresser. Mine is very close to where I live. I'll probably only require a buzz cut anyway. How about searching for one that does home visits? Large Tesco stores sell a lot of cheap hats/baseball caps. I went and tried lots on to see which had a loose fit. How about a Panama? I dye my hair and have not asked yet how long I should wait. Hopefully I can do it before returning to work. I'm not that grey so it's less of a problem.
  7. Propecia - 1mg per day is the usual dose. You will need a prescription Regaine Foam once or twice a day - I recommend buying off Ebay (Kirkland Foam is cheapest and way cheaper than Boots). Apart from that there is no other proven treatment. You can add Nizoral shampoo once or twice a week as this is believed to be beneficial - see link 3 in my signature.
  8. Too many Limeys on here? lol I don't think we have a disproportionately high number of baldies compared to anywhere else. A few thoughts: We don't like talking to others about our concerns, even doctors, which brings us online. The Wayne Rooney effect. Obviously we speak the same language as the US - only properly (joke). There are foreign language sites that are probably more popular to those nationalities.
  9. Barring the shockloss it looks like you're through the worst of it and it will all be positive from now on.
  10. Nice density. Dr Feller has done you proud!
  11. Too early to say if you will 'need' further work. Your final result will be 12 months or possibly 18 months after surgery. I think it looks ok so far. I know this doctor did Dr Christian Jessen's hair. I was not particularly blown away by his result but it was ok.
  12. I know a guy who has had more women than you can shake a stick at despite the fact he looks average. It's all about confidence and if the lack of hair up front bothers you than much I don't see why you couldn't get 2000 or so grafts.
  13. I don't think it's any different to the principles of comb-over except the examples above are 'comb-backs'. Visible scalp equals bald appearance so you minimise what can be seen by growing the hair to lay over it. I was a NW2/3 for years and definately looked better with medium length hair - the weight of the hair pushes the strands flat. When I would cut it short it would stick up and expose the scalp (very much like asian hair).
  14. John Travolta so he can ditch those ridiculous pieces. Daniel Craig?
  15. Pat is on BBC2 tonight covering the Brazil v Italy game. It looks like he has had some growth.
  16. Lol. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that too! (no offense to anyone who uses it.)
  17. I normally go to the US at least once every 2 years for a vacation and built it in to a stoppover on the flight back. I don't think the ticket was any more expensive. I just had to pay for a hire car for the day. I think I would struggle to get it done without an in-person consult.
  18. Good luck Dan. I would keep your hairline no lower than its lowest point currently. That will look good in all ages.
  19. Measured my proportions: "Hairline" - - 7cm - Eyebrows - - 7cm - Nose - - 6.5cm - Chin Juvenile hairline looks like it was 5cm
  20. Looking on target. That's a reassuringly thin scar. Maybe 1.5mm wide at most.
