  1. A lot of the H&W results posted seem to have dyed their hair, or maybe I'm imagining it. I thought it could be to do with your desire to post consistent photos. Perhaps they are just overjoyed with their new looks and want to look younger!
  2. I looked at some images on Getty and it certainly does look like he has a frontal piece fitted. A brave man playing football wearing one of those!
  3. I find that Nizoral stops me getting occasional white heads on the scalp. I stopped using Alpecin recently after about 4 years using it. Best decision I've made for a while. Tresemme shampoos are far better.
  4. Splendid result. You've come a long way since the NW6 days.
  5. Looks great. JoT - do you ask patients to dye their hair for post op photos or do they do it of their own accord?
  6. You sound a bit eager to get this done. I would wait and carry on researching until you are confident the number of grafts is what you need and have the confidence and finances to go with the Dr you believe in the most. There are some people on here who waited over 4 years to get a transplant.
  7. Great write up. The growth seems to be coming along fine. The only thing I'm not sure about is the hairline. For me it is a little too low (I would have gone half as low). But if you are happy with it then that's the main thing. Look forward to further updates!
  8. Unfortunately the Dr can only really get enough hair to densely cover an area about the size of your 4 fingers so trying to spread it around won't work. Even if he could get many thousands, what happens when the hair around the transplanted hair falls out? You appear to be heading towards a slick Norwood 6 at the very least. The best thing you can do for now is to get on Finasteride and Minoxidil ASAP. Hopefully the Dr mentioned this at your consultation.
  9. You actually have a good shaped head for the shaved look. SMP could be an option worth considering.
  10. The entire red area marked for the 600 but tapering off in the temples. However, you may need more if density needs to be added to your existing hairline. That's why a lot of the Feriduni examples are well over 1000 grafts. He is no doubt packing the grafts in even denser than 40 per sq cm. I think you need to see a few drs in person but for now you probably need to budget for between 500-1500 grafts. It's too hard to tell without detailed pictures.
  11. You've got more loss than me and I was recommended 3000-4000 grafts by 4 doctors. The lighting on that second photo is not great but it does seem as if your crown is going. I think 4000-4500 would give a very nice change at the front depending what you can get out of the donor area. Maybe come back later on to improve the crown.
  12. I think about 600 for the widows peak only. If you choose to do a lot more with the temples we could be talking 1500-2000 grafts, as confirmed by some of the FUE examples on Dr Feriduni's site: FUE

  14. Hope you don't mind but I've taken the liberty to edit one of your photos. I guess the red line is something like what you're looking for. I measured my own head and lengthways it's between 15-18cm depending on how far into the temples you go. 1cm x 15cm x 40 = 600 grafts maximum. So maybe the 500 estimate is about right. So if you wanted to lower another half cm, 750 grafts...
  15. Is your hair at the back thick and dense? Being 28 I would be hesitant to have a HT if you are not on finasteride / Propecia, especially with the amount of loss you're experiencing. If you are in good health I would definately suggest giving it a go. You may get heaps of regrowth which could reduce your required grafts by hundreds if not thousands. If you have really good donor hair I'd think about covering an area as attached below. I think asians can get away with a lower density due to less skin-hair colour contrast so 4000 grafts might do it. I'm no expert! I think India is decent enough for Strip surgery (Dr Radha) but not so good for FUE. Bhatti comes across as a bit too gung-ho for my liking! One other thing. Maybe try shaving your head now. See if you like it or not.
  16. Try to estimate the number of square cm of area you want to cover and multiply by 40.
  17. Greetings. It depends what you want to achieve from the transplant and how important it is for you to have the option of shaving your hair down closely in the future. You have a lot of loss so for now you should be thinking about taking finasteride and minoxidil to see if you can regrow or stop the loss. Itlooks like you need about 4000+ grafts to cover the front half of your head with a new hairline. I'd forget about the crown for the time being. FUE you might only get 3000-3500 grafts in one session and may have to go back again after, and of course shave your head for both procedures.
  18. Had a quick look on Feriduni's site and there are a few strange ones in there. Like the one attached who is also classed as a NW1
  19. The first one looks like a NW1. He went from NW1 to NW1! Second one looks more like a NW2 into NW1. The 3rd one is NW2 into NW1.5 in my book. The first 2 are harder to tell without the side on shots.
  20. You have some great choices in that area. See this link: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/surgeon-list.asp?StateAbr=CA My favourites for strip surgery are Williams, DeYarman and Reed. FUE would be Umar and Diep. McAndrews is another good one but he's not part of the network.
  21. I'm sure Jotronic will confirm but this guy looks like a NW2 or 3 pre-op. It's just the way he has styled his hair to cover the recession of the temples.
  22. Like I said...anti-FUT brigade. FUE will give a superior result to some people, just as FUT will for others. But you can't go around calling surgeons disengenious when you yourself 'scare' a lot of posters into believing there is a strong chance of getting a 'horrendous disfiguring scar'. There must be 5000+ strip surgeries in the US every year collectively by HTN recommended surgeons and I'm sure the vast majority of patients are very happy with their results and no concerns with their scars. Otherwise, could you direct me to the 1,000s of stretched scar cases posted on here and I'd be most gratified to see them!
  23. Hmm, a bit of a marketing post but the work and results look very nice. I see the Dr used to work for Bisanga.
