  1. Holy crap! That's an amazing transformation with only 2400 grafts! He had a HUGE balding area!
  2. Agreed that it's not quite as good as you'd hope for but honestly that's a pretty good improvement. You have hair where you previously had none. Hopefully the touch ups add a bit of density. My 2nd FUE I had a lot of thickening up to 24 months after so hopefully you'll see the same.
  3. One time!!!!! Please God!! This is interesting. It's all over the media...lots of reputable news agencies reporting this.
  4. I'll let the doctor answer too but I wouldn't think this really has anything to do with the HT process. It's just like he said, the water makes multiple hairs clump together which gives the illusion of more density. I always like the look of my hair after I get out of the shower but before drying it. One thing I do notice though is I see more scalp because, like he said, the hairs are clumping together.
  5. He never should have done the HT on you in the first place. Too young, nothing wrong with your original hairline, and he went really low which could lead to issues down the road if you do have hair loss.
  6. Looks great! After that result, he should be smiling in his after photos!
  7. Everything you said there would indicate FUT for you. The scar is usually the deal breaker for people and that's why they go FUE so if you don't care about that then FUT makes perfect sense for you. Good luck!
  8. Interesting but that beard looks ridiculously fake
  9. Yep, and every day some people who get in a car end up dying in a car crash but that doesn't stop us all from driving. I've been on fin for 10 years and have had zero issues. Fathered 2 healthy children during that too. There is a risk, a small one, that there could be side effects. Happens with every single medication out there. I'm tired of the people who are having side effects trying to convince everybody not to take it or to get it outlawed.
  10. Wow, some tough posters here! This is a really nice improvement with a relatively small number of grafts. Well done.
  11. I don't think the hairline design looks bad. He just needs more density. Maybe it's still growing in?
  12. You might want to look into the SMP for thickening. A lot of the good providers are doing this now and so you can wear your hair about the length in your pics but the SMP will add the illusion of a lot more density. The other option is to start using concealers but you need to understand that that's going to be a commitment. If you start using those you'll become dependent on it and won't ever want to show your hair without them (at least in my experience that's what it's been). The best option is for you to reconsider using fin. It typically works wonders on diffuse thinning like yours. I've been on it for about 8 years and haven't had any side effects and have 2 perfectly healthy children that were conceived while I was using fin.
  13. Yep...I remember it perfectly too. I was about 18-19 and my brother pointed out that I was receding in the "corners." I rocked a sweet slicked back hairstyle and was really happy about it. Ever since he made that comment, I became obsessed with my hair and watching the hairline erode over the years. Luckily for me, my hairloss was pretty slow going so I didn't need an HT until about 36.
  14. I think the hairline looks terrible....I think a lot of eyes would be looking up that way, which is exactly what you don't want.
  15. Would love to see more thickening pics! I'm highly considering booking with you to get that done!
  16. First thing is, have you tried to buzz your hair all around? I think it would look tons better if it was just short and neater looking. You may actually like that look and forget about wanting a transplant. Second, if you do want to go the route of transplants, it does look like you have very good donor hair. You're probably looking at a FUT (strip) procedure of around 6000-7000 grafts to get a decent result. I would look at like somebody like H&W up in Canada. They seem to do a great job with cases like yours.
  17. I think your fingernails are a bigger issue than your hair! Cut those suckers!
  18. That hairline you drew would look hideous. Kudos to that doctor for refusing to do it. He did you a HUGE favor by refusing your business. You are going to really regret it a couple of years from now if you end up doing that hairline.
  19. I've had 2 FUE procedures but it's been a few years since my last one. The past couple of weeks my scalp has been really itchy and I'll get these bumps near my crown that turn into scabs. Eventually, they fall off and puss comes out. I'm thinking this is folliculitis? Can anybody recommend the best course of treatment for this? Thanks!
  20. I think you're drinking too much scotch if you're posting stuff like this!
