  1. I am sure he is going to be a happy camper when that grows out.....that old work he had before he found you was terrible. Look forward to seeing the results.
  2. No surprise that you had a great experience with SMG. Would love to see your pictures.
  3. Definitely don't go to Dr. Larry Shapiro. SMG is the clinic where Doctors Ron and Paul Shapiro are in Minneapolis and they are excellent. Dr. Ron did my surgey and i was confident cin my choice and very happy with the experience and outcome. No need to be concerned about Dr. Charles.......he posts regularly here and produces consistent solid results. He would be a solid choice for you. In the end you need to be comfortable in your choice, but it is very natural to be nervous.....everyone is. Good luck.
  4. Agree 100%! Don't even think about fast and cheap when it comes to a HT. that is just a recipe for disaster.
  5. I agree....looks fantastic, especially given the area covered with 2000 grafts.
  6. Glad you were able to get the additional grafts Bonker......should turn out really nice for you. Look forward to seeing the photos once it starts growing in. No doubt, H & W are one of the best.
  7. Photos would help, but if you spread 2000 grafts around your frontal area and your crown, I don't think it is likely you will get your desired outcome at your level of loss. I think the suggestions from the other posters that you would need 3 - 4k grafts is accurate.
  8. I agree.....sounds like scabs flaking off......I do understand those post op jitters........we all have them.
  9. Excellent......you had a fantastic result the first time around.......no doubt this one will be very successful as well. Keep us posted.
  10. Hard to tell NHP. I know that at about that stage, I had a lot of native hair growing back, some of which had shed following the transplant....that stage where it looks worse before it gets better. It seems that it would be really early for transplanted hairs to be growing. I say my first transplanted hairs starting to come out at about 8 weeks which is considered really early. Like you said, it is good either way because you have hairs growing out No doubt you are on the upswing now!
  11. Love the analogy! I think the period between month one and month two is the worst. For me, not only did I shed all the grafts, but my native hair seemed thinner too.....then it started growing back in quickly and next thing you know the new hairs are sprouting out, so hang in there!
  12. Dr. Lindsey is one of the best.......I am sure you are in for a great outcome! Heal well.
  13. This is definitely the best way to approach your decision.
  14. I have to agree. That is what this thread feels like. I do agree that informative posts regarding the known and potential side effects are a really good thing to post about as all of us who take Propecia are obviously interested. There just seems to be a bit of a conflict with the way this particular post has been presented.
  15. Dr. Rahal is one of the best and right in your back yard.
  16. There are many people who come from all over the world to have a HT by the surgeons I mentioned in my prior post. You can achieve a really nice result with a HT. just make sure you are clear with what your expectations and goals are when you talk to the clinics. If your expectations are unrealistic then you will likely be disappointed. Otherwise you will likely be really happy you had surgery.
