I think most products just cause hair breakage, which can lead to thinner looking hair. But it won't stop new hair from growing. So products aren't causing your hair to actually thin, they're causing breakage which can lead to it looking thinner
Going bald so young stinks, but it sounds like you look good without hair and a lot of people would love to be able to just shave it all and look great. That's probably a small consolation, but there are options out there.
I just read something about how doctors aren't sure which gene carries baldness... I may be mistaken, but that's pretty cool if it works. I think it can be useful BeHappy-- if your family has a history of baldness and it is linked to a specific gene, it could be useful to know if you have it really early on to start taking preventative measures.
I've read that baby shampoo is the best, but if your doctor gave you other instructions you should follow them. If you're not sure about something, I suggest calling your doctor to get clearer instructions.
definitely see how you look bald first. I've read a number of times that people who have gotten HTs wished they had the head shape to go bald so it could be something you regret if you don't try it. With that said, if you go to a good doctor, the scaring will hopefully be minimal. I've seen pictures of people with very short cuts after having a HT and you can barely notice the scar.
This link is to the forum that discusses patient reviews of surgeons. It's a great place to start looking at which surgeon you want because you can see their before and after photos.

I was thinking along the same lines as Curious. Ideally, you should only be off the finasteride for a few months at most so hopefully your loss will be minimal.
Glad you're seeing some improvement ark. Like everyone's said, there's still a long time to go before you know how it will turn out, so even if you feel like you're seeing results slowly you have to remember it's a long process. Good luck
Ah that sounds awful Joey but you probably shouldn't pop them just to avoid any infection. The Fusdin Cream sounds like a good bet though! I'm glad that worked for you Recession.
I've read that you should go for the recliner if you can, but if not, sleeping with your head propped up is an option. If you're a wild sleeper, you might want to go for the recliner because it will limit your mobility in your sleep.
I'm not sure about how common that sort of recession is, but if you've noticed new hairs, congrats. It doesn't mean you're gonna have full regrowth, but it seems like you've stopped losing and that's a huge deal.
I think it mostly causes problems with wound healing and infection due to constricting blood vessel. A lot of websites say it can affect hair growth, but I haven't come across any studies.
