  1. I will be travelling soon to shop for toupees. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Im 26 and a NW5, been balding since 17. Was quite popular with women even when i was a NW3 but still with hair. I was always EXTREMELY self-conscious about it, but when you're a NW5..... damn, then it starts to really affect your happiness level. When you look in the mirror and see an old man. I can't go on like this. I have decided to move from my family across the country to a new area and get a toupee. I have to live the rest of my twenties and early thirties "with hair". I have to experience "having hair" and looking good for once in my adult lifetime. I can always go back if i don't like it, or when i'm ready to become a bald old guy. My questions to the veterans are: 1. Which is the best toupee company (i'm ready to spend money to look good) 2. Is it COMPLETELY unidentifiable ? 3. At this point i HAVE to do something about this, i can't live my life like this. I've read some really bad articles from former hair wearers. Is it so terrible wearing a toupee? Than you very much.
  3. Im pretty much a NW5 at 26 but shave it down. Would i ever look GOOD with transplanted hair. I must say that guys who are NW4-7 do not look good at all with the transplanted hair, its just so incredibly thin. Maybe 3-4% of the hundreds of pictures i've seen look good, but i think the pictures are heavily "toppik'ed" and i really cant use that product. So... what do you think. Is a transplant not for me if i want "decent" thickness? its ok if its pretty thin but not VERY thin. Second question, if it's very thin, could i shave it down (would do FUE ofcourse) and tattoo in the little scars and to add thickness on top? So i would look like ive got hair (and when i would stroke across my head i would feel the buzz). Would that be an option See: Hair Tattoo | HIS Hair Clinic Thank you guys.

  5. Hi. Im 26 and a NW5 basicly. Its hell being bald especially at this age. You guys wearing/wore wigs can you please give me some advice? Please only those who have experience with top of the line systems. Any input is welcome and i am especially worried about how its perceived by the hundreds or even thousands of people in my community who KNOW im bald, will it fall off? What about outdoors activities? Do you feel it to some degree on your head? Is it 120% real looking? Maintainance problems and just everything. Thank you
  6. I'm talking about where ever in the world. I'm looking for a FUE procedure with the most realistic hairline. Can you give me your opinion on who is the best?
  7. hero85, did you have a hair transplant? How did it go and at what norwood stage were you?
  8. norwoodsman,

  9. I am now a NW4-5 and 26 years old, balding since 17. No frontal hairline and a narrow "landing strip" to the back of my head. I buzz my hair with a setting 1 on the shaver and i can see that the hair on top of my head is very thin although i haven't let the hair grow since 2006. My dad and grandfather are bald, my dad balder than my grandfather but he has decent hair on the sides of his head, has the "landing strip" over his head. I don't want to do any drugs to save what little i have left, so my options are to live with this, always buzz down and be noticable balding at this age, it's been terrible and a life changing thing, my personality has suffered immensely because of this, i used to be pretty popular with girls and was confident about how i looked and it felt so good, about 10x the amount of happiness i can feel at my best today... That's what life's supposed to feel like. So my only other option to have hair (except getting a hairpiece which i think everybody agrees is not the way to go), is to have a hair transplant. God knows how bald i will eventually be, but judging by when i started to go bald, i will probably be a full NW6-7 eventually. So in there lies the problem, there is a definate chance i won't have enough donor hair. I think i don't have to explain that problem to most of you guys. It basicly means i can never have good looking hair, i could maybe get some ugly fuzz on top of my head but not alot more. That's NOT what i'm going for. My though was to get a FUE transplant to get filled up on the hairline and get at least SOME coverage on top, keep my hair buzzed at a setting 1-2 and get some tattoo pigmentation to fill in and make it look denser. (I've seen some amazing results with tattoo's but the problem is that if somebody touches your head... It's probably pretty creepy because they will know that there is no hair there). There will be some donor scars with the FUE, i can get those little holes either tattooed with hair or skin color. How do you guys like that plan? Do you think it's viable?
  10. I started balding when i was around 17, my face didn't even look like what it looks like today at 26. When i was around 20 i was a NW3 and i still got lots of looks and phone calls from random girls. Being considered attractive and loosing your hear is complete ****. I can't imagine nothing worse happening to a young guy interested in girls. I would probably choose being *** ***** every week for a year in exchange for having a great head of hair.... it really RUINS your life at this age. To think that this one factor is the only factor affecting you so much and your chances with girls is too much to bare. If i had never had any attention from girls at all and would be considered below average or average looking, at least i could be comforted by the thought that i wouldn't have THAT much going for me anyway. You young attractive guys (except for your hair) ..... what the h*** can we do?? Is there really NOTHING we can do that is really viable? Hair transplants and hairpieces are pretty much out of the question at our age. I really can't believe that in the year 2010, there is no hope!!
