  1. I agree with balody - looks natural. Good to see strong work from folks in UK
  2. Dr. Gabel, Can you please explain this patient's medical therapy indicated in the last photo? And I agree with deadhair7, can you please share some female patient photos?
  3. Wow! Curious if Ken told you before surgery that he had curly hair? From looking at his before pictures we obviously couldn't tell. If he did, did you have to take this into consideration? Really interested to see where he is now. The videos say dreadlocks!
  4. Fantastic! Very natural looking as well. It's time for a haircut! Congrats.
  5. Do you have pictures? Trying to judge how intense the redness is?
  6. Some doctors have a 10 day followup. What was your followup with your doctor after the procedure? 10 days is typically fine, but these cases are so unique that it couldn't hurt to consult YOUR doctor. Great question!
  7. Never thought getting called a Chia Pet could sound like such a great compliment!
  8. What a weird thing to tell a patient, that because your hair is going to get worse that there is no reason to take medication to make it better. Good luck with the doctor search. Try to stick with this site's recommended list of doctors. They are recommended for a reason.
  9. Does your family have a history of hair loss? If so, when did they start noticing a problem? Your situation doesn't seem like a need for concern, but family patterns might be worth thinking about.
  10. I've read that shock loss can occur from 2 weeks to a little over a month, though I doubt receiving shock loss after a month is common. It's hard to specify a certain number of weeks since it's different for everyone.
  11. The new density has a really full and natural look. Great job and congrats to the patient!
  12. I could see Dan Akroiyd in the before pics, but it's amazing how he loses all resemblance to Akroyd in the after pics. It's like the hair transplant transformed him into a completely different guy. Great work!
  13. You got two options: make an awkward joke about it to break the imaginary tension you think everyone else is feeling or stare straight ahead not saying a word. Either way, it's going to be an uncomfortable 30 seconds.
  14. It sounds worse than it is. I will have to eat food every day for the rest of my life, shower every day for the rest of my life, brush my teeth twice every day for the rest of my life ... saying it sounds like a real burden, but it's hardly noticeable when you take things one day at a time.
  15. It's very much about perspective, and more specifically, progress. When you start losing hair, it feels terrible because you feel like you are stepping backwards, but when your ht starts to display growth, it feels like a giant step forwards, even if you only made it back to where you previously were. Best of luck to your new hair and your new child!
  16. The loudest voice in the room isn't always the correct one. I get the feeling that people with poor results are more likely to post on a forum for comfort/venting. Don't worry yourself thinking forum posts speak for all HTs.
  17. Seems to be an occurrence some people experience. Though I wouldn't advise ripping them out with your hands before consulting your doc.
  18. Let the HT do the work for however long it takes. No point messing things up with a hair piece.
  19. Glad to hear it worked out for you! Congrats
  20. That definitely seems dodgy. Like the others said, you'll probably want to wait due to your age. If you do eventually go for a ht, you might want to consider traveling. Good instincts on questioning that website.
  21. At 8 months it's hard to tell. I think it looks good so far.
  22. I see what you're saying, Emperor, but I hope (and think) your hair will end up thickening in the coming months. People have said it earlier, and 7 months seems a little early to write it off. I know that you've said you're alright with how it looks and are just explaining that it's really all about the illusion, but I hope some extra density makes you happier with your HT.
  23. Glad to hear your hair came back! Sounds like you went through a hell of a time figuring out what went wrong, but I'm happy everything worked out for you.
