  1. Backdrop I'm a 23 year old guy and have started getting a receeding hairline along with thinning hair generally all over the top but more noticeable in the crown area of my head. Its not like I'm bald or anything but wouldn't mind sorting it out. Anyway, I'm considering getting Hair Transplant by the form of follicular mini grafting. However, I am struggling to find reviews on the only place in Scotland that seems to do it. Their own website I take everything with a pinch of salt as they are obviously trying to sell themselves. However, a few things in their FAQ seem a bit off. This bit in particular as I have always assumed that scarring is just one of the things you have to accept. q. Is there a possibility of scarring? A. There is no possibility. This idea is simply scaremongering by company's who only provide Hair Replacement Products and has no foundation. The original hair transplant was was a technique called punch grafting. It was successful but not as totally natural looking as follicular mini grafting which was introduced by our surgeon Dr. Michael May almost 20 years ago. In the seventies and early eighties, punch grafting was practised world-wide and a small number of patients had unsatisfactory results due to (a) being accepted for treatment when they were not suitable (b) being treated by an unskilled practitioner © treatment was not as strictly regulated as it is today. Now every aspect is considered before you will be accepted. During your initial free consultation your suitability will be assessed. A prognosis will then be given of your expectations and the cost of the procedure and we will then arrange a private consultation with our surgeon. Your complete satisfaction is paramount to us as it has been since 1976. Here is the website for this clinic - (Link removed by moderator) Has anyone used this clinic or know anything about it? I think I'm going to go along for a free consultation as theres no harm done in that and keep my options open. I will keep an open mind. I haven't taken any meds or anything as I would just like a permanent fix. Its not something I will get impatient with and I will give it the time to kick in for a couple of years or whatever it is it takes to fully do. Can anyone give me any pointers or anything or a rough idea of cost in GBP. Are we talking about 3k ballpark figure. Any help/advice appreciated. I know that location shouldn't be the determining factor in where you get this done but it is an important factor for me.
