  1. Looking forward to seeing this when it is grown out. Some of the close up pictures look like the hairs are going all sorts of directions; will this chill out?
  2. Why do I always see Dr. Bauman sensationalizing every product that has even the remote posibility of treating hair loss.: Lasers Lattisse FUE suction machine I think I know the answer: the almighty $$$. I wish he would stick to doing a better job in the field of hair restoration surgery. From what I have seen, he does not produce results that are even close to the many of the docs on this site.
  3. I have two words of thought: minoxidil finasteride. I would not even consider a hair transplant now.
  4. You have come a long way. Congrats on your progress and resutls.
  5. Looking good. Only 5 months. It should only get better.
  6. I'm glad Dr. Umar is standing by his work; waiting to see this result. I'm close by to him, but I"m not sure I agree with the nape hairs. I agree that they do go away was we get older. Any plans for the temples? They may need a touch up as well?
  7. Amanindia Hang in there. I agree. 5 months is early and from what I have read, it can take 9 months or more before those babies spring into life. I've been doing a lot of reading of people's stories on the web, and sometimes it takes time. I would encourage you to keep snaping photos and letting us know your progress. I'd say give it at least 3 - 4 more months. Stop evaluating your hair growth everyday or you'll drive yourself crazy (easier said then done, I understand). Dr. Hasson has a good track recored. Please keep posting your results on your web log and watch the change. It should be great.
  8. agreed. Leave the weave out. It looks way to fake, especially when everyone knows he has lost his hair.
  9. Sweet. The curly hair helps give more fullness to the result!! Is it harder to do a transplant with curly hair vs straight hair?
  10. do you have any photos of prior to the transplant? Ummm, I'm looking at the photos and he looks like he has a very nice hairline to begin with. Maybe I'm missing something, but where were 2930 grafts transplanted? Is that the total number after 3 transplants, or on the last one for the hairline or what? Did Dr. Arocha do all 3 or did he do jsut the last one?
  11. Bosley = Chop shop, disaster, horrible results, and other things I should not write on the net. Stay away. How do I know: I went to them over a decade ago and I am living proof they are bad. When i had my transplant over 10 years ago, little did I know that some docs were doing better work then plugs. I did not have the resources to know better so I went to them; One of the top mistakes in my life. Now I am paying the price. Stay away from Bosley.
  12. I agree with Moses and danne. Wait. You certainly have lost some hair since you were 18, but at 23, wait until you are older and have more hair loss. You may lower your hairline just a little bit, but you also may need those hairs later on when you are going to get the "big" surgery. I made the mistake of doing a hair transplant in the frontal area and they, 10 years ago, put these ugly plugs in a few rows and now I've lost a lot more hair and it sucks. Not that you doc would use the plugs that I got, but the concept is the same; if they put hair in the front, and you nautually lose hair behind it, you'll be stuck with an unnatural hairline. Get on some meds, and hopefully they work so you won't ever need a ht.
  13. After my transplant 10 years ago with the "B" group, I had a ton of pimples. It really sucked and I had to go see the pseudodoc to pop them. The thing that really made me mad was that I was not told of that, and secondly, I think I lost the grafts at the sites. The way they sold it to me was that nothing bad could ever happen. Oh well, that's why I've waited so long before I take the plunge for the next one. So, no, I hated them.
  14. Does anyone know if scratching the scalp causes hair loss? I had a transplant several years ago and it seems that they have on occasion been itchy and slowly thinning. I’ve heard that a ton of scratching is not good for the hair - is this true?
  15. My doctor told me to use a gentle shampoo so i use Pantene which he said was fine for hair.
  16. How many little holes did you have to make to get that number of grafts?
  17. Looking good. When I had my transplant years ago with those plugs, I swelled for days. From my readings, people still swell, but it seems to go down sooner. Correct me if I'm wrong, but people tend to connect swelling to complication: I'ave had several operations and each one was with swelling (not infection). I think it just goes with the territory that one will swell after so much work was done on the head. Now if the swelling becomes red/wheepy/gross/ and does not go away, now thats another problem; but basic swelling - it goes with the operation.
