Save your money!! Your crown looks great - looking at the pics, it has not changed that much in the years between pics.

Korec I'm glad you are not hurt. It is so templing to just look at all those new babies on your head and be amazed. I can see it now: law makers will attach a new addendem to the "no texting while driving" and add "no looking at your new hair transplants in mirror while driving." Good luch with the new hairs.

Great job!!! This is a class-act result. He does not look 18 years old with this result - he looks like a middle aged man - like he should look with hair. Some of the pictures look like his hair is darker - which is good. A litle color goes a long way. Nice Job.

It looks like some clean work, but isn't it important to make the hairline irregular. I'm looking at the immediate photos and the grafts were put in as straight as an arrow? From my observations, most docs are putting the hairs in the front in an up and down pattern - this patient is as straight as I've ever seen. Just my observation

What about the docs themselves? I know hairclub and bosely have poor reputation - does that mean all the docs are poor? Is medical hair restoration on the same league as these two?

Balding again ??? [16th month post-op, transplant @ H/W]
Mercury replied to K_2009's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Can you really expect their clinic to put every patient's photos on line. When I had my transplant years ago, they asked me if they could use my pictures in their materials or photos to show people who walked in the door. (this was Bosley). I said No as I did not know what they were going to do with them and what billboard I would end up on. I'm sure H/W has lots of patients that will let them show their befores and afters, but I'm sure they have a slew of people who also say no, which is OK. It is up to the person if they want their photos revealed. I give them a thumbs up for not showing everything when people don't want it shown. So I think the thought of showing everyone's photos, from any clinic, should not be on the table. It would be nice to ask and see what % of people allow them to show their photos - I bet it would be low. So thank you H/W for not showing all your patients - but please keep showing the ones who said it was OK. -
What the difference between hair club and bosley for hair transplants? In california, I see tons of both commercials and both offer hair transplants. Are the docs with one better then the other? It seems to me that both of these companies spend a ton of $$ promoting their services but I am skeptical. Reading here, bosley does not have good reputation - does hair club? Just trying to get a better understanding of the hair industry.

scalp tattoos v dermmatch and dermmatch shampoo
Mercury replied to john2009's topic in Shampoos, sprays, and concealers
Not a huge fan of the tatooes. I had a friend that had that done a few years back and now his hair has diminished and he has these funky , irregular brown lines on his head that don't look so good. he told me people ask him if he has like a disease or something with his head causing the color changes. For some I'm sure it has done well; its all individual. -
I felt the same whay after my transplant. It took forever to grow and I know how you feel. My doctor told me to wait a while before doing anoher one to see if my native hair would grow in - some did, but I did feel I lost a lot. (So far I've waited 10 years:). Sorry to hear about this.

I live in the Redondo Beach area and will go to see Dr. Umar to see what he can do for me. I had a transplant about 10 years ago. Does Dr. Umar only do the punches. I have a scar in the back of my noggin that I have to keep my hair kind of long to cover it. Also, the photos with the blood coming down your face -- OUCH!! Makes me nervous to go into all this again. How many punches did he make in your head - looks like a lot but the pics are fuzy to me.

Mercury replied to Mercury's topic in Shampoos, sprays, and concealers
What are alma, shikakai ? I was hoping for a common shampoo. What about rogaine shampoo? I rmember that being sold years ago and was checking if still good or not? Please explan what those others r? -
Very nice job. When I had my tranpslant about 10 years ago, we never thought hair could look as thick. When you say Dense packing - what exactly are you referring to. Obviously you are trying to get it as dense as possible, but what are you doing.

Where are the pics? -
I keep reading on this shock loss - why does it happen? Does it all come back? That has to be very depressing when the hair you think is going to grow falls out. Ouch!! Has anyone not grown back?

Thanks for the advice. I'll look up the doctors that are listed here and dr. Umar. I like this community so I'll keep on checking these out too.
