  1. Hi Atomic, The pics in this post where all taken a bit later than the 5 month mark from my surgery with Dr. Rahal in Nov 2010, thus they are all after pics a diff angles. First four are without flash on the camera, last four are with flash on the camera. If you want the detailed progress from the start, check my blog, it has the fulll history from the start and may help you get a better sens of where I started. 2. All I can say about my case is that I have been religious with applying Minoxidil, and since I work from home, it was easy for me to let stay on my scalp without having to wash it out for styling. I also took MSN every day (3000mg), Multi-Vitamin and Omega-3... the rest is genetics... and good to know for once it's not playing against me! Just updated my blog also with the journey up to now... http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1890
  3. Hi all, thought I’d share my progress from my surgery with Dr. Rahal on November 23rd 2010. I’m very happy with the progress, for the last two months I’ve given up the cap and I can say for the last two weeks I have been able to style my hair and be comfortable when going out and not think about it. Seems I have almost forgot about the doldrum phase, I did obsess on the donor area/shock loss and I still do a bit, but it’s getting better with the exception of small spots in the back not showing signs of growth. Still a bit of cap hair in the back since I can’t really go too short due to these spots and the new growing hair’s need to catch up. As far as recipient shock loss, I don’t think I suffered anything major, a testament to Dr. Rahall skills beyond the actual results you can see. Numbness is all gone. Now it’s just a waiting game to see the new hair mature and grow to the same length as the hair that was left before… You can check my blog to see where I started from. I will be updating it with all the pictures I took form month to month in the doldrum phase and exiting it around 3.5 months… Attached pics with and without flash. Hair Restoration Site for KFlynn
  4. Hey Can't Decide, I'm with you on Donor Shock Loss (your bullet #4)... I just past the 2 month mark on the 23rd with a ~4900 graft session and my donor shock loss is pretty nasty on both side. It makes me happy that at 3 months you are seeing things getting better in that area, I still find it concerning to touch skin with no feelings of hair popping out. Let's hope this month bring hair there. For the rest, my Story is like yours! It’s the one thing I have been obsessing about.
  5. Hi all, made some updates to my blog. In general with a month past and freedom regained, things are moving forward as would be expected. The little guys have all shedded now and areas where I use to have hair is growing little by little. I did finally shaved down to a 4 guard the rest of my head, feels so much better and it's easier to take care of it. The only negative aspect of it all is I have considerable donor shock loss. Pictures on the blog are from the first 2 weeks, I will have some new ones soon from a month (thou not very exciting now that the grafts are all gone!) and the scar area with the disappointing shock loss but hopefully like documented many times, will get back to normal with time. 6. Ah yes, the tuft! I'm following post-op instructions and did not cut/shave any hair out... but on the 1 month mark... I'm shaving it all down to a 3-4...Can't wait! KFlynn

  8. 4897 FUT with Dr. Rahal / November 23rd 1's - 739 2's 3139 3's - 1019 Total - 10,074 Hi all, Long time lurker who took the plunge on November 23rd. Today is my 11th day, the healing is progressing well. Scabs are almost gone, seems I sheded skin and that is also going away. I guess my story is similar to many here, I feel like contributing since this forum/blogs served me well in investigating and choosing Dr. Rahal for my procedure. I’m very satisfied with how the procedure went, Dr. Rahal and team took good care of me prior, during and after the procedure. Now it’s wait and see! I’m going to be keeping my blog updated in the next couple of months on this website: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1890 If you have questions, let me know, I’m only at the beginning of my journey but can certainly help on how the procedure goes. For now I’m trying to stay zen with my appearance that is distorted! KFlynn
