Hair Transplant Process of 6000 Grafts with Arenamed Istanbul

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, i just had my hair transplant operation short time ago and would like to share all about it.

Hair loss started 5-6 years ago and came up to consideration to think about a solution recently as i am 34 years old. As seen on my photos, especially the frontal part got bald and some crown. The prior process was standard like all other clinics, request, analyze, quotation, comparison and decision. Eventually i made my mind to fly over to istanbul and make it done with Arenamed due to ref photos, responsiveness, premises etc. They offered me 3 days package including transfers and hotel, i just had to book my flight to confirm the appointment. Anyways, airport welcoming, hotel location was ok.

On the op day, right after arriving to hospital, first step was the blood test, then filling patient form and finally plan of the transplant. Front line and recipient area area drawn and i checked and confirmed. What impressed me was the graft qty to plan for transplantation. Only to the frontal part 5000 + 1000 for crown in total of 6000. Operation took about 9-10 hours and not easy to be still even if you have short breaks for lunch, toilet, rest etc. Eventually all was transplanted and i can't wait for the process. Aftercare and my condition are satisfactory so far as i am at the very beginning. Just got back home, will keep the forum updated and comments are welcome.

Team was professional and understanding the concerns. Seems well talented and did not have a problem during long hours. There was the final check after extraction for the frontline and recipient area, injections are painful but no feeling after 10 min. i think the most challenging part is to be still for hours long.

Really weird looking post-op result and procedure type in general. I hope you get a good yield. Your donor is probably completely used up at this point if that was a motorized punch, are you on finasteride?

It has been 3 months. Donor area recovered, shock loss stopped and new hair just started to grow. Progress has been as explained by the hospital and i am satisfied so far. They tracked my progress and replied my questions. Will keep updated about the upcoming situation until the final result.

Thanks! Doc was Serkan aydin, you better google about arenamed. they have pretty nice before after refs on instagram.

What role did he have in the procedure?

Did technicians do all or most of the work?

There are multiple reports on other sites that claim Arenamed is a technician mill that overstates the amount of grafts they implant, and that Serkan Aydin is not a medical doctor.

He involved after the anaesthesia to check the status of extraction and planned transplantation with his assistant who speak english. then i guess he visited other op rooms after me, afterwards he came again to involve the slits part, and lastly at the end to see the result. you are right, there are lots of reviews about them and other clinics as well, but i also believe the forums have such speculators. What i am sure is the grafts amount is not overstated, they calculate, note it on my document and also i see myself what a density is transplanted on my head. We all know that the reason for traveling to Turkey for this op is the payment amount, so of course one doctor himself can not make all the process for just one patient in a day, as a result technicians & team has to do most of the work. What matters for me is the talent of the team, refs and their experience.

how did the result turn out after almost 4 years? I hope it still looks good.

I went to the same clinic and just had shock loss in my donor area on my left and right side so i am a little worried the hair will be less dense there. Did you use any medication, vitamins or oils on your donor and recipent area?
