  1. It is hard for both sides to look *exactly* the same as there are usually two different techs working. I would urge you to relax-it looks just fine.
  2. Just curious as many of the images here of post-HT patients appear to be using product of some kind. For people who had HT, do you use these products?
  3. IMHO it looks fine. I would have done the hairline differently, but you are getting good growth. Add some Toppik and I bet you will be much happier.
  4. As someone who has literally tried everything nothing worked better than good old fashioned coal tar shampoos. These are dirt cheap, extremely safe, and in my experience worked better than OTC Nizoral or prescription Nizoral. You can use steroid shampoos as well, but these are prescription and for short term use only.
  5. Others here might disagree, but from where I sit you do not look like you need any more surgery. If I were you I would not do it. You look great!
  6. Hmmm...does not look so bad to me. You had severe balding and you have a decent result. Expectations...expectations...
  7. There is no “best in the world.” What baloney. Lots of excellent surgeons but no single best one.
  8. One difference between Bernstein and Bloxham, IMHO, is that Bloxham has more pts with early hair loss and Bernstein has more pts with more advanced hair loss. Could see both as they are near each other or see the one whose pts look the most like you.
  9. Do NOT go to a trichologist...you need to see a real doctor for psoriasis. Some dermatologists specialize in this, as psoriasis is a complex area. Find someone like that.
  10. It depends. Some people really grow fast, others slow. Everyone gets there.
  11. Like a lot of docs, Bernstein often takes on a junior partner (padawan) few a few years before they go off on their own. Shaver is the current one. His last one was Wofeld. Still, Bernstein is getting up there any may be transitioning to retirement. If anybody knows one way or the other would be curious.
  12. Is that true about Bernstein not operating? Has he retired?
  13. There are excellent treatments for psoriasis now in the form of biologics: talk to your doctor about these - ustekinumab (Stelara) ixekizumab (Taltz) secukinumab (Cosentyx) guselkumab (Tremfya) brodalumab (Siliq) certolizumab pegol (Cimzia) tildrakizumab (Ilumya) risankizumab (Skyrizi)
  14. Recovery is a tough process. Most people do not really feel like themselves for at least a month, and it is not uncommon to feel out of sorts for longer. Some people have shock loss despite fin and some people have severe crusting despite religiously washing and shampooing. It just happens.
  15. I think it depends on the technique and the doc and your scalp. I would not deviate from what the doc said.
  16. IMHO both excellent, but go with Bernstein if he thinks you are old enough.
  17. I dunno....OP is fairly young but could consider FUT IMHO. I worry about his age.
  18. I see a lot of docs going not just too high, but too low on the donor area. Both are worrisome.
  19. Def outside of the safe zone. Sadly, you see more and more of this these days.
  20. Late to answer here but I think Dr. Bernstein is top notch. His online galleries are the most comprehensive out there and he has a reputation for being honest and not a conman, which you cannot say about a lot of HT surgeons. He is, no doubt, more conservative than some other surgeons but I think his results look really good and he will not carpet bomb your donor, whether you have FUT or FUE.
