Senior Member Cant decide Posted April 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted April 25, 2011 I am posting a few before and after pics from my surgery with Dr. Rahal. I had 5229 grafts done six months and one week ago. I have medium to fine hair caliber but my donor density was good which has helped (Hairs per graft). You can read the details of my experience on my thread under "surgeon reviews". I thought that I would post them here as well. I told myself that I would never post pics just because I am pretty private but you guys that post pics have helped me out so much over the years so I thought that I would post just a few. The before was taken the mpring of surgery at Dr. Rahal's office and the other thre were taken over the last couple of days. The quality may not optimal but I did pull my hairline up a bit to reveal the hairline more in one of the pics. I was a solid NW 5 so of course, I am pretty overjoyed with the results My Hairloss Web Site - Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010 Procedure #2: 2642 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Aug, 2013 7871 Grafts http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2452

Senior Member Cant decide Posted April 25, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks so much. No center crown work was done but the crown laterals (or what Dr. Rahal calls "Dips") were done so the crown loss is essentially not that wide anymore if that makes sense. Senior Member Cant decide Posted May 19, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2011 7 Month update: The hair has definitely thickened over the last month. One interesting thing is that my hair on top is wavier than my native hair was. Likely because it may be wavier in the donor although I never noticed it. I actually prefer it this way since it gives me more styling options Feeling some hair greed concerning the crown although it is not all that bad since Dr. Rahal took care of the laterals during this first pass. 3.pdf 5.pdf My Hairloss Web Site - Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010 Procedure #2: 2642 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Aug, 2013 7871 Grafts http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2452

I always say I wont be greedy but If I would be in your place with these results, greed will follow me too. Senior Member Cant decide Posted July 8, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2011 Guys - I thought you would get a kick out of this. I am about 8.75 months post op now and the HT is moving along great. I suspect that I am about 90% grown out and now just maturing. I am posting this pic just to demonstrate how hair texture can really change post HT. When I had native hair on top, it was always straight with pretty much no wave at all. I have let my HT grow out to an extreme now but I wanted to do this because I wanted to have it fully grown out before I went in for my first real haircut. This pic is with no product in my hair after blow drying and with no styling at all. I DO NOT normally wear my hair like this but I just wanted to show you guys first of all how wavy it is at this point and also how good the density is. Actually, the pic does not even do the density justice. Take a look at my pre op pic earlier in this thread to get a sense for where I can from (NW 5) and the 6 month pics earlier in this thread is how I normally style my hair. I am sure in time, my hair will take on more of my normal texture but I do expect that it will remain wavier than my native hair was to some extent because I am thinking that my donor had some wave characteristics. I don’t mind this because it does give me more styling options. I am going to get a haircut next week. Any suggestions on a style would be appreciated My Hairloss Web Site - Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010 Procedure #2: 2642 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Aug, 2013 7871 Grafts http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2452
