  1. @HelpfulFriend Their YouTube videos are just spurting the same info you'd find anywhere online man. They are obviously knowledgeable, though you would hope so being a surgeon. I have met a few former patients and their results were so under par the PGA came and gave them each a gold jacket.
  2. @whattheFUE first off, great handle name! I dont disagree with what you are saying mate, I have been using this forum since maybe 2009 and have watched it go through all kinds of phases. As I started re-lurking again a few months ago (haven't been active since 2016) I noticed many of the old school popular users such as Spex, Joe etc not appearing. To be honest they are becoming redundant as there is so much information now available compared to 10 years ago, YouTube, new techniques, new clinics, new forums etc etc. We don't need their newest "eBook" or whatever they are trying to market
  3. I feel for you man, I do!Certainly could be a case of transection in some areas. Your pre op photos have fairly dark lighting, then post op looks like you're in the white room with Neo and Morpheus looking for guns. Even guys with non MPB would look thin in these conditions. The work looked super tight throughout the very frontal hairline maybe some grafts did not make it for the ride. At 8 months you'd assume to be further along really. Regarding the Minox usage and ceasing for the 6 week period, no way would that have caused this issue unless those hairs were so dependant on the
  4. Hey mate, basically you want a butter based coconut mix not so much oil. It's really more of a hype than anything I used the stuff for two years really wasn't helpful if anything made my hair very greasy. All the brands are good also, just stick with as natural and chemical free as possible
  5. Looking good mate! 5 months in don't stress to hard on sections that are catching up to others happy growing sir
  6. Hey mate, You aren't wrong in noting the difference regarding calibre of hair from donor to recipient. My HT took almost two or so years to feel and sit as natural as my native hair did, was an interesting time. I would wait it out slightly longer, or for experiment purpose lay off of the MSM and biotin for a bit. You may possibly be one of the few to become upset over having thick hair but I totally understand what you are trying to say. Chuck up some real close up photos if possible? Mike
  7. To further what Rob is saying, the follicles can actually grow even slower post Op, they are still dealing with being shocked and relocated. My hair grows extremely fast however for the initial six months post although coverage from my procedure was great, the hair was not as long as usual. There is usually a section common for most that grows slower than others, my right side took longer in this case, don't let this stress you out mate! Mike
  8. Sorry guys! Don't know how I missed those queries. Haha, yes I do have an "epic" signature! I believes it assists others though on what to maybe avoid and investigate when new to the hair loss game. Maybe I'll cull it down a tad. Sunnycool, how are you mate? Yes, I do go a little above and beyond these days its down to a fine art I guess. The fin has not cause any major concerns coming in to my 11th year, also my third year of DUT added to the mix. All good so far. Mike
  9. This thread is rather similar to one from 2008 I will try and locate the link. Bill brought up some great points and great insight to the referral process for HTN physicians, not sure if he recalls as was many years ago. Search time.
  10. Hopefully people will see the true definition of the 12-18 month maturation. It's a thing!
  11. Good luck mate, have just read over this entire thread, quite full on! I have no doubt in my mind the goods will come through!!
