  1. Another great transformation. No doubt this patient is extremely satisfied.
  2. Looks great! Best of luck. Can't wait to see the end result.
  3. I've been on Propecia for 3 years. I had a kid no problem without going off of it; he's 9 months now and my third. Pregnant on the first month trying, just like my other two (which I had prior to being on it). My personal experience anyway. So it def hasn't affected me.
  4. Yeah, I'd def wait. Most people recede a little by your age, so it's just natural. I wouldn't be surprised if it stops and you keep a nice hairline, as it looks very solid. See what happens over the next few years and don't jump into anything. My 2 cents.
  5. Your hair looks pretty solid to me!
  6. Nice transformation. Thanks for posting. osidekid
  7. kumar11--I agree with Atomic's comments. I definitely started seeing changes at 4 months as shown in my blog. I heard the shots were bad in the beginning, but for me they were no big deal. There is definitely discomfort for the first few days, but nothing some pain killers and ice cannot resolve. It's been over 3 years for me and no side effects. As for cost, I'd contact Dr. A directly--but Atomic covered that as well. Take care and good luck!!! osidekid
  8. kumar11, My advice is don't limit yourself to one geographic area. Look for the best surgeon that fits your needs. It's easy to catch a quick flight back and forth to get the best results. A guy I know was adverse to leaving CA and had his done locally in San Diego. I cannot recall if his surgeon is recommended on here (and even if he was, I wouldn't bad mouth him). Anyway, his transplants aren't terrible, but the density isn't that great--he had a good head of hair to start with and was simply bringing down his hairline a little. I feel like he shortchanged himself by just going with the first person he found locally. For me, Dr. Alexander in AZ was the best fit for my needs after I researched a ton and from viewing his results. Other Dr. A patients that have emailed me directly through my blog have traveled from across the nation to AZ to see Dr. A. I traveled to AZ from San Diego, and my experience was very pleasant. The staff there is great and very professional and Dr. Alexander was top notch. 3 years after the surgery, a day doesn't go by that I am not glad for my decision to proceed with the surgery. Best of luck in your decision!! osidekid
  9. I saw this thread and I too live in California, in San Diego county. I agree with the other patients posting about Dr. Alexander. After the research I did, I took the short flight to Phoenix and had my procedure done with Dr. A. I flew back the next day. I could not be happier with my results. After my procedure, I've emailed with a few other Californians (and even a guy from Missouri) who have contacted me via this network and also ended up making their way out to Phoenix to see Dr. A. So like the others have stated, don't restrict yourself to any boundaries when looking for the best surgeon for you. For me it was obviously Dr. A. Best of luck in your search!! osidekid
  10. Pedro, I also went with Dr. Alexander. You should contact him for a free consult--he and his staff are very professional and friendly. On the day of my surgery I felt at ease and in good hands the entire time despite the worries I had about finally pulling the trigger and getting hair transplants. I did it over 2 years ago and my life has been better ever since with new confidence and continued compliments of how great my hair looks. Best of luck! Feel free to email me directly with any questions. osidekid
  11. I am from the San Diego area and after a lot of research, I chose the short flight to Phoenix to see Dr. Alexander. I flew back the next day at noon with a loose trucker style hat on with no issues whatsoever. It was totally worth the short trip and I love my results! People I am close to and work with have no idea I had it done.
  12. I am from San Diego and chose to take a short flight to Phoenix to see Dr. Alexander for my transplant. I flew back the next day around 11:00 am with a loose trucker hat on with no problem whatsoever. I actually was in recent contact with another guy from LA who also chose to fly out and just had his transplant done with Dr. A. Dr. Alexander is amazing. Two of my local friends just had their hair done with Dr. A after seeing my results over the past year and a half. His hairline work is phenomenal and the the scar is undetectable as stated by Atomic. I agree with thanatopsis_awry. Geography shouldn't matter.
  13. Criss, I had my surgery done by Dr. Alexander in Phoenix. He is also renowned for his hairline work and has an artistic background. I am extremely happy with my results with him and several of my personal friends are making appointments with him based on my results. Check out his result pics on the Network, or on his website (biltmoresurgical.com). Best wishes in your decision!! osidekid
  14. Hi, I am from San Diego and also traveled out of town to Phoenix for my surgery with Dr. Alexander. Traveling is no big deal and I haven't been back to Phoenix for any follow-ups. I was able to get my stitches removed locally (anyone can do it). I had the surgery done on a Friday and flew out of town the next day by noon with a really loose hat on. It was really easy. I'd look into Dr. Alexander. He is really well known and respected on this network for his work and his results are amazing. It's been almost 18 months for me and I still get compliments on how thick my hair is looking and nobody has suspected that I have had it done. Check out my blog. http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...e-page.asp?WebID=737 best of luck, osidekid
  15. tc17 per graft. from my understanding, shaving not required, but makes it easier for the doctor to shave. so I told him to shave away. best
  16. Hi Speegs, My experience with Dr. A was the best and has been life-changing for me. My results are amazing and friends that knew I got it done have actually forgotten at times that I did the procedure, and their comment is that it is so natural that they have just gotten use to the change. I will try to update my blog and post soon with some new pics. Best, osidekid
  17. Dr. A, Hopefully I can make it out to AZ some time this year! Thanks.
  18. stilldeciding: can you reference me a link where someone is pulling down just the transplants? To my knowledge I've never seen anyone doing that, so a reference would be nice. biscuit: I will try to get around to taking some more shots outside, and will post when I get a chance. If you check out my HT blog under the same name (osidekid), you will see an outside shot taken by a professional, entitled "8 Month Professional Pic". This photo was taken outside in the sunlight, with a white backdrop. Thanks to all for the kind comments.
  19. lookin awesome man. just think how happy you'll be at 10 months! congrats.
  20. stilldeciding: It was strip. Can you clarify what you mean by "let down"?
  21. I had a transplant done with Dr. Alexander in April 2008--so coming up on one year. I had a very positive surgery experience. Although I was scared to follow through and actually have the procedure done, once I arrived on the morning of surgery, Dr. Alexander and his staff were very professional and I was at ease. The shots and procedure were not as painful as some had described, and the day passed quickly despite the tedious procedure. Dr. Alexander transplanted approximately 2500 grafts in the frontal region where I was thinning substantially. He and his staff were awesome! Almost a year later, I am soooo pleased. I get comments all the time from family and friends about how young I look and how great it looks as each month passes. Here are some pictures--pre-op, post-op, 7 months, and 10 months. This transplant has changed my life and my confidence.

  23. Sorry, I am new to the Forum and saw the Experience section and posted there. Afterward, I saw there is a section where Patients can post results, and I tried to delete this post to move it to the other section, but I could not find out how to delete. I will re-post to the Patient section.
