  1. I haven't tried Nanogen, but I tried Caboki,Toppik and a 2 unknown brands and Caboki is significantly superior to Toppik and those unknown brands.it stays on hair much better, doesn't come off in wind or on pillow and looks very natural.and you don't even need to use hair spray.it's as good as those youtube ads! also it's not more expensive than Nanogen, all 3 are same price..Caboki comes in 25 grams size as standard while Nanogen comes in 15 grams..that's probably why you think Caboki is more expensive than Nanogen.(well they are all over priced for what they are..) I might try Nanogen to compare it with Caboki but I think Caboki is the best of them all. I think it's best if you try both Caboki and Nanogen to see which one you like better.
  2. I know there are many HT clinics in Iran, many practice FUE and I know a few people who had HTs in Iran, some with very good results others not so good.I cannot personally recommend any specific doctor or clinic there. but in general, cosmetic surgeries and hair transplants are very common in Iran, and there are surgeons and clinics that do good work.(based on the results I've seen). I did a transplant in Tehran myself 12 years ago (FUT),and the result wasn't good, but at that time HTs were not advanced anywhere.. there are some recommended Ht surgeons here who are originally from Iran, but are practicing in Europe/ US (Dr.Feriduni / Dr.Parsa Mohebi) also Baubac Hayatdavoudi (Armani clinic in Beverly Hills CA - but he is not recommended here). I think it's a gamble unless you personally see a few patients from a doctor that people recommend you.prices are on par with clinics in Turkey. I think going with the few reputable doctors in Turkey is a safer option.
  3. I used an online currency exchange to send money from my UK bank account to my clinics bank account in Belgium. I too use Halifax and found their exchange rates and fees un-acceptable. the currency exchange gave me a much better deal.I also considered taking cash, but decided against it due having to exchange Pounds to Euros and risks of handling large amounts of cash, but if your clinic charges extra for card transactions, you might consider taking cash, however you need to be extra careful when taking large amount of cash to Turkey.
  4. good luck,in my opinion if you can afford the price difference between him and other great FUE surgeons (ex Feriduni,Bisanga,Erdogan) ,it's worth it.the price difference between him and Bisanga/Feriduni for 3000 grafts is around 3000 GB pounds more.it's expensive no question about it but the fact that he does all the extractions and implantations himself is a huge factor in achieving superior results in my opinion+ in my opinion his FUE results are superior to other great FUE surgeons.
  5. great result. it's amazing seeing the difference hair makes to one's appearance.even comparing the pre-op balding stage to the shaved pictures..major difference.yet some people still think hair is not that important and shaved look is cool! I'd say hair is at least 70% of how we look!
  6. I'm usually not easily pleased with HT results and don't say a result looks good unless it really does but honestly,it looks much improved, you probably wanted the hairline more dense, but it's still a very good result in my opinion.I really can't believe what you wrote there.it's really looking good.just compare the 3 photos side by side..definite improvement and the forehead that i'm seeing after HT looks a good 7-8 years younger than the one before.
  7. great result and I have to say Injertocapilar's documentation is the absolute best form of documentation.better than any other clinic my miles.
  8. Johnny2000, most people believe manual FUE is superior and has less chance of damaging the FUE grafts during extraction.it's slower and more difficult for the clinic but better for the patient imo. I think 2000 grafts manual FUEs can be done in single day easily. regarding your stress about travelling post op and the way you look post HT,most clinics will provide you with some sort of head covering, some provide you a very loose baseball hat and some will give you a bandana style hat.but you usually can't wear it nice & tight the way you normally do.it needs to be placed on your head in a way that it doesn't touch and put pressure on the newly transplanted grafts.in other words it will look silly, but it definitely beats travelling without any head covering with a bloody and operated head! I was very concerned about this issue myself when I had my recent procedure, more than I was worry about the procedure itself, but my clinic gave me a bandana style hat, doctor put it on my head himself.I looked awkward wearing that but without it there was no way I could go to the airport. I also asked for a letter from the clinic mentioning that I've had operation on my head and that am wearing that bandana for protection and coverage,so at airport security when they asked me to remove the bandana,I explained that I've had a operation and it would be very difficult to remove it.they just scanned my head with a handheld scanner and let me go. but some airports might be more strict,in that case you can always ask for a private room, where you can remove the head covering if they insist too see.
  9. for strip I'd choose Rahal.definitely more aggressive than other two and personally his strip results are among the very, very best,if not the best out there.
  10. I booked my flight for the next day after HT,I think that's the best time to fly back or you have to stay at least 1 week.there will be swelling which starts at day 2-3 and will take around a week to go away.believe me the worst thing will be travelling with a swollen face it can look VERY strange and ugly and will draw a lot of attention. so flying back day 3-4 will be the worst thing one can do. you can stay for a week and that's good for follow up check with the clinic etc,but will be very boring and tiresome (and expensive) since you will have to stay in the hotel all the time not being able to go out looking like that. upon arrival I told the custom that I'm going for medical procedure and had a copy of the surgery appointment with me just in case (& they didn't ask for). when I was returning the next day after surgery,I asked my doctor to give me a letter stating that I've had surgery on my scalp and the clinic put a bandana on my head for protection and coverage. that did the trick at airport security when they asked me to remove the bandana, they just scanned my head with their handheld metal detector and let me go. even if they refuse to let you go without removing bandana/hat,you can ask for a private room, they have cabins there where you and one of them go in and you can remove your head covering there.
  11. the result looks really awesome at 7 months, and the problem around the scar area appears much reduced in the latest pictures.
  12. great documentation and great result. especially the result of the first surgery with only 1550 grafts is impressive.it shows how important/different surgeons skills and yield can be.
  13. you could have asked Bisanga or his rep if they knew a cosmetic clinic here in the UK where you could go for removing sutures.. I had my HT with Feriduni recently and didn't want to go to my own GP (as I'm sure they haven't seen something like this and will be asking questions, etc which I'm not comfortable with.) Feriduni referred me to a a cosmetic clinic in the UK,and they agreed to do it for a (small) fee. having ht sutures removed by any cosmetic surgery clinic beats going to GP,at least they have seen it many time before and are comfortable doing it professionally without asking too many questions & leaving the job incomplete.
  14. I started this thread and was very optimistic about this study and decided to give it a try. I tried it for 6 months and didn't see any difference at all.NOTHING I bought the original Avodart and it was 100% legit and real. the only thing I noticed was noticeable INCREASE of libido and feeling slightly ligtheaded on Mondays (I took Avodart on Mondays). after 6 months I decided to stop it,again no difference in terms of hair. but I think the effects can vary on individuals and it's worth a try.
  15. I've been taking Finasteride for 10 years.(started in 2003 at the age of 23) it never completely stopped my hairless at any point, and I've been gradually losing hair all these years.but I guess it reduced/slowed down my hairless.so I'd say there was no change in it's effectiveness.also I had zero side effects.
  16. beautiful result.really nice. this is what a fully successful transplant by a top clinic should look like using 3500-3600 grafts on a NW4. money very well spent!
  17. I agree with what Postdoc said earlier, the only surgeon in UK that I would consider will be Lorenzo from Spain who recently moved to Manchester and joined Farjo's clinic.he is probably world's best FUE surgeon.but his UK price is very expensive. I think the best option would be clinics in Belgium, namely Feriduni & Bisanga, they are world class clinics and their prices are "standard". there is also Dr De Reys in Belgium who does quality job and is much cheaper than other Belgian clinics. but if cost is still an issue there are at least 2 great surgeons in Turkey who are very cheap and do quality work,Erdogan and Dognay.. I would choose either of them over UK clinics regardless of their price any day.
  18. great result. now only crown left..once it's done, you're done with hairloss.
  19. I always keep my hair at medium length because short hair doesn't suit me,and the shortest I cut the back is around 1.5 inches at that length current scars are completely hidden.so there is no reason for me to waste grafts/money on FUE(ing) grafts in the scars.. but yes,I'm worry about the new scar getting wider after taking another strip and a revision. the FUE+Strip combo is the safer option but problem is I always wanted to keep FUE for future crown work, and I feel by using some FUE now,I'll compromise my FUE donor unnecessarily.. also the cost of FUE+Strip procedure will be considerably higher than Strip+later scar revision.
  20. it's Feriduni. I know the tread Spanker is talking about..made me think about the whole thing again, but my main concern is getting the necessary number of grafts in one procedure,my current scars are completely hidden.
  21. I want to finish the hairline/frontal third in one go.the clinic says it's achievable.but I'm not sure personally as I keep reading the size/number of grafts in a strip can only be known during surgery and not even during in person consults. on the other hand,I wanted too keep FUE for future when I need some crown work and fear if I opt for option 2,I use some FUEs unnecessarily.also the second option is more expensive. Spanker, why do you think revising 3 average ,closed together scars is unusual and complex? it would be a thin strip of maybe 5-7 mm wide, once removed there will be only one scar? there is no reason they wont be able to turn it into one, unless the third scar is huge and laxity does not allow all of that taken out? but I hate the idea of going through a third scar and getting cut open again in a year for revision.
  22. I've had 2 small strip procedures in the past by poor clinics resulting in 2 average scars very close together.(first procedure 10 years ago, second procedure 5 years ago) for my next surgery I need between 3000-3500 grafts to cover frontal third/and thickening my hairline and I've been told I have good donor hair. I've been doing scalp laxity exercise for over a year! so I've had consultation with 4 top clinics, and they all recommended about the same number of grafts, but most of them want to remove the old scars with the new strip, problem is this way I might not get the required 3000-3500 grafts. the clinic that I'm considering at the moment offered me two options: 1-remove a new strip above the current scars in order to achieve 3000-3500 grafts and do a free scar revision after a year so that I will have only one scar. 2-do a strip+FUE combo : old scars will be removed with the new strip and the rest of the necessary grafts (probably around 1000-1500) will be extracted by FUE on the same day. so which option would be better ? these pictures were taken recently by one of the clinics showing current scars.
  23. I agree there are a few great FUE surgeons in Turkey that do excellent job,but which Indian doctors/clinics were you referring to? because most results from Indian clinics that I've seen online (with the exception of one surgeon) have been very mediocre and poor.I'd personally wont get a HT in India even if they pay me.
