  1. There was one other patient during my procedure with Bisanga. He has a limit of about 4000 grafts per day. I had 1500 grafts so the other patient had around 2500. If you needed 4000 grafts, you would be the only patient. He does the extractions (motorized) and incisions (technicians do the implantation). Being a patient of HLC (which stands for hair line clinic), and being exceedingly happy with the results, of course I would recommend them. Even though I would *prefer* to know the exact doctors working on me, the results speak for themselves. All that said... I believe De Freitas is producing the best hairlines in the game... at any cost. Even with my HLC success, if I did it over I would select De Freitas. I tried to get him to do my second procedure but it takes more than 2 months to get an online evaluation... so I went to Bisanga. I'm a fan of Ferreira, too, but his lack of actual patient cases also troubles me. I think Rolandas has really made him popular. He's increased his fee from 2.5 to 3.0 and waiting times are long. For 3 Euro, I can't imagine picking him over De Freitas, who is about the same price.
  2. Do you need the hair cut that short to do this?
  3. I think it looks pretty dang good! My advice is to grow it out. I haven't cut my front and mid scalp in about 3 months. I have pretty good density, but it's changed my look dramatically. Try something like this.
  4. Failed at 4 months?! haha! It's the BEGINNING of the growth phase.
  5. You will want to take better pictures from several angles... top, sides, back, and front. I would include a couple pictures with wet hair. Go to the various doctor websites and send them the pics. They will give you an estimate for number of grafts and cost.
  6. This list is pretty elite. Of the options I would go to any of them, with maybe 2 exceptions.
  7. I think Dr. Ximena Vila in Madrid is around 2.0 Euro/graft. Medecap in Malaga is 2.0 Euro. I believe HDR in Cyprus is around 2.0, too. I'd ask BHR Malaga for their prices, but they might be around 2.5. Things open up when you are open to 2.5 - 3.0 euro/graft.
  8. This is not easy to answer. Bisanga is a master and in my opinion is one of the best in the world. But cost is a factor. After Belgium VAT, he costs almost 5 Euro/graft. Almost double HLC. I also had 4000 grafts my first procedure. I couldn't afford Bisanga then. But my second was only 1500 and I wanted a specialist for crown and temples... and expert donor management. Bisanga was perfect. I think it's a smart strategy to go with a 2.5 Euro priced clinic if your first procedure is large. Then go to a top expert for second, smaller procedure to perfect hairline and improve density.
  9. I agree with this. Even as a HLC patient, I would prefer to know in advance the exact doctor(s) that would be doing the work. On one point I give HLC an advantage over most, that is the use of stick & place technique. Most doctors don't use this and, even after a procedure with Bisanga, I believe stick & place is a superior technique. I agree that at 2.5 Euro price point, Vila, Pinto, BHR Malaga and others should be considered. At 3.0 Euro, Ferreira and De Freitas are options.
  10. Considering you can get De Freitas for about $4/graft, it's hard to justify these US prices.
  11. They post on the spanish forum. Really good work!
  12. BHR has a location in Malaga. Worth looking into.
  13. Haha! This is Stephen A Smith...
  14. @S1LK can I ask how much you paid? I've been impressed with FueCapilar (Dr. Turan and Dr. Gur) results. They are one of the only budget clinics I would recommend. Their value proposition is strong!
  15. Absolutely. I'm 50 years old and on meds, so there's high confidence that those hairs are mostly good. I also agree that longer hair in the temples will look best. My work was minor so it should be a non issue.
  16. Yes, this is why Bisanga pulled hairs from around my ear and lower neck for my temples, which are finer in caliber. He was very selective about these grafts. I think Mwamba has shown evidence of using hair from the nape of the neck, too.
  17. It certainly looks better with longer hair. It's hard to make opinions over a few photos but the density could still use improvement. Frankly, I think 2600 grafts is too few for the area covered. I would expect 4000 is needed for that area. Are you planning for a second transplant? I think Dr. Wong would be a great option for you. Maybe 1,000 grafts... or 2,000 if you go into your crown.
  18. Yes, I had some native hair there, but not much. They lowered my hairline about an inch or so. It was a lot, which is why the graft count was so high. It's not lined up perfectly, but you can see some of my native hair in the before pics. I did my temples when I got my crown worked on in Brussels with Dr. Bisanga. See link in my signature. Only 2 months so no results yet, but Bisanga is as gifted as they come so I have high confidence.
  19. The issue with getting a transplant this young is that future hairloss is (more than likely) a certainty. So you'll lose hair behind the transplanted hairs, which will leave you with a bad appearance. Ultimately, you'll likely need to get another transplant in 5-10 years. If you maintain a strong donor area, you'll be able to do it with moderate success. That is, as long as you're not headed towards a NW7, which opens up a whole set of new problems. Yikes! All that said, the damage is done and you're on the transplant lifelong journey. If I was you, I wouldn't leave it as is, I would get it repaired by a top surgeon like H&W. Schedule it for 6 months away (12 months post-op). Travel options should be better for you by then. I agree that Canada is much easier to travel to/through than India. be sure to discuss the long term, multiple transplants plan.
