  1. I agree with FUT as your best approach. Hasson & Wong are legends in this area. In the US, you could look into Bloxham & Feller in NY. But for mega sessions, Eugenix in India has great success, as Melvin mentioned.
  2. Looks pretty darn good for just under 6 months, no doubt about that. You're on track for a great result! You can even start styling it with hair product, i.e. clays and pastes. You'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes.
  3. Makes sense to me! I just had my temples done with Bisanga so now I look at everyone's temples. haha! I see so many that are done poorly but yours is looking great. Keep us updated with monthly pics!
  4. It appears you had more grafts added to your left temple. Was it unbalanced before?
  5. About 9 months ago I bought a few boxes of this https://www.minoxidilmax.com/maxogen-x-topical-finasteride-8-minoxidil-retinoic-acid I've stopped using it because, frankly, I have too much hair. It's not easy to apply, just gets all over my hair. I'm now taking oral finasteride and minoxidil. I have one full bottle in the box and a bottle half used. It costs $65/box. Make offer! *if not allowed, please delete* my bad
  6. It's not many grafts. Maybe 100-150 each side? Post a pic of your temples.
  7. 6 inches would be about 760 grafts. Add a few more if you close your temples, too. My hairline is 7 inches. But it just goes to show how the number of grafts can change a lot based on where you draw the line.
  8. It's an estimate. 50 grafts per cm2 is dense. That means, if your hairline is 8 inches across, temple to temple, that's 1000 grafts.
  9. Remember that for every 1cm you lower your hairline, it's about 1000 grafts with dense packing. Then there's the transition zone, where the doctor will implant into your existing, thinning hair. It all depends on where you draw your line. I think HLC has a brilliant hairline drawing process, it can take 30-40 minutes to go through this phase of the process.
  10. This is the price for going to a poor clinic. He has to get grafts removed from the hairline. Then 6 months later, get a proper transplant to rebuild hairline and temples. Not many people I would trust with this repair. He's in good hands with Dr. Bisanga.
  11. This is one of the places that better clinics separate themselves from others. Bisanga talked about being smart with anesthesia. Most places use epinephrine in the injections to prevent the lidocaine from being filtered away... it keeps it locally longer, improving numbing longevity. But epinephrine can cause miniaturized hair to fall out, which is why shock loss usually occurs around the ears, where hair is finer. So clinics that use a lot of anesthesia, or just don't have expertise to use it efficiently, can produce lots of shock loss.
  12. Looking great for 6 months! You'll continue to see more growth and density over the next 4-6 months. Did you go through FueCapilar?
  13. Wow! That's a big procedure! First time I've heard of doing FUT and FUE back to back. I wish you the very best! Keep us updated as you make progress. I'd love to see a homerun here!
  14. Avoid Long Hair Center. The only budget clinic in Turkey I could consider is FueCapilar (Dr. Turan and Dr. Gur). The doctors do the extraction and incisions, 1 or 2 patients per day. Of the results I've seen, I prefer Dr. Gur but both seem to have happy customers. Worth looking into. Good luck!
  15. You' save more grafts by raising your hairline. Probably 1000 grafts per cm. Raise your hairline and close your temples would look better... less toupee-ish.
  16. Congrats and best of luck! Keep us up to date with your progress!
  17. Looks great! And your donor looks untouched. 😎

  19. My very first choice was Dr. Keser (a former HLC doctor) but covid cancelled it. Then I was trying to book with Pekiner (also a former HLC doctor), but again, covid caused problems. I was in deep talks with Ferreira but Portugal was not accepting flights. Then last October, things started to open up and I reached out to Keser, Pekiner and HLC. HLC had an opening in 3 weeks due to a cancellation so I booked it. At the time, I was stuck on the doctor doing all the work. I wanted manual punches (not motorized) for extraction. And I preferred stick and place for insertion. HLC wasn't my *first* choice for the silly reason that you don't get to pick your doctor(s). HLC is kinda unique this way and didn't have a lot of cases on this board, but there are many more on BelliCapelli (Italian forum). There is a real consistency with these doctors. I can spot HLC post-operative work every time. Keser/Pekiner/HLC hairlines are all excellent. The videos on HLC YouTube channel really sold me. Keser @ 3.5, Pekiner @ 2.5, and HLC @ 2.7 are the most expensive clinics in the country (Keser is high because he limits himself to 700 grafts per day). They are not bargain clinics, they are the elite options in Turkey. They don't get a lot of love on this board because they are in Turkey and aren't on the preferred list. I chose Bisanga because I was looking for crown, temples and donor management. HLC could do it, sure, but I was really impressed with Bisanga's approach to donor management (he has a few videos on this) and I found some really nice temple work of his. Since I was only needing 1500 grafts, Bisanga is more affordable (he costs 4.85/grafts after VAT). In total I had almost 5800 grafts. That would have been over $33k USD with Bisanga. But I saved almost $12k by going to HLC first. Without question, Bisanga is top 25 in the world. I would have been equally happy to go to De Freitas, but he doesn't give quotes easily. If I ever get a third procedure, I would try to get De Freitas, his work is among the best I've ever seen. Maybe Lorenzo (because I love Spain) or Mwamba (because he offers procedures in Atlanta). But I won't go back to Bisanga or HLC, there are too many good options. Look at @mustang's list of clinics. He's been to like 7 or 8 different ones! 🤣 This forum does have a bias. The Italian and German forums have very different "best of" lists. Even Cuoto doesn't get a lot of love here, and his work is mind blowing. Just do your research. Look at real patient cases here and on other forums. Instagram is no good for research, but YouTube has been helpful. Just don't get caught up in indecision limbo. Pick a place and book it. And stick to it! haha
  20. Oh yeah! Much better! With the flash, we can still see some scalp, but the hair looks so much thicker. For me, it's an art to figure out how much to use. Too much and it gets clumpy. Too little and it just looks dry. Keep using it! Here's the look I'm trying for. I don't think my hair will lay down like that, but if I grow it out... maybe? I dunno.
  21. Yeah, there are many new options for you now. https://www.google.com/search?q=men+hairstyles+for+straight+hair&sxsrf=AOaemvJe-lAe5qNlS58UOcBfn5qi9TF6Lw:1630082668681&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiG4K6T09HyAhXMnGoFHU44DVsQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1536&bih=818
  22. Have you tried styling it with some hair product? Like maybe a clay or putty? I use this one... it's no-shine and has a thickening effect. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CWJ1YW/
