  1. I'm feeling much more comfortable with the procedure now and at this point I think it's safe to call it a success. It will also look better once I get a proper haircut as I haven't touched any of the transplanted hair at this point. So my hair at the front of my head is all at a different length. Also haven't touched any of the hair on my crown so just going to leave them be for a while and let them grow. The crown is already showing improvement as well, albeit as that slower pace that I talked about earlier. Not sure at the moment. I might leave my hair for another few months then maybe shave it all off so it grows back uniformly. It might be a good gauge of my progress as well.
  2. 6 months 20 days update. Here's a few photos using the same overexposed light and crappy iphone 8 camera
  3. Hey all been a while so I thought I'd add another update. Just keeping on keeping on and not thinking about my hair too much and letting it do its thing. I've got to the point now where the redness has subsided and I don't mind going out the front door without my hat (although I usually do if there's sun out - not meant to get sunburnt according to the docs). So according to my dodgy maths it's been 5 months and 23 days since my operation. Things are going smoothly. The front is growing out, the crown is still trying its best but is really slow. The lack of blood flow to the crown is apparently why it takes a long time compared to the rest of the head. Not entirely happy with the thickness but it's still early days.
  4. @TommyLucchese here you go here's the best quality post op crown I can find
  5. So I'm now at 3 months, 25 days. I can definitely see a change now. One thing that worries me is that after this first 'burst' of hairs that have come through I can't see any new hairs coming out. Is this normal? Does this whole shebang go in stages? I'm happy with the progress so far but would feel better if I could see some new hairs poking through. I can't see any at the moment. Scalp is still red but that's all good. I kind of expect it with my light skin. Wearing the same hat hasson & wong gave me when I got the procedure around everywhere to both keep the sun off and hide my head. Crown still looks the same so I won't post a photo but still feel the mini hairs 'roughness' when I run my hand over it + getting a few pimples and bumps there which I'm hoping is new hairs.
  6. Yep this was a full 2 days. Like getting in at 7am and leaving late - like 9 or 10 at night. Staff were great through the whole process and very patient. I was still able to drive home after both sessions so it was all good. I think I watched most of Parks & Rec TV show during the process on netflix.
  7. Haven't posted because there's been not much going on but thought it's time for an update. Went through the shedding phase without any problems Lost all the transplanted hair after a month or so. I didn't mention this before but sleep was a bitch the first week so make sure you buy a good neck pillow, not one of those shitty airplane ones. On another note I'm really happy I'm still working from home due the covid situation as I don't think I could have done this at any other time. I still look like shit after 3+ months... I've got so much respect for people that just rock it and don't care what anyone thinks. I'm sitting at home avoiding videos on my Teams/Zoom meetings and its worked out so far. Now I'm pretty much at the 'I've made a mistake' phase and worried that this is a failure. I think this feeling is normal and I've read about a lot of other people going through it. It's much different when it's you tho 🙃. Not as easy to reply 'trust the process' when you think you're one of the 1% or so who's going to have a failed transplant. My pale skin also doesn't help and my head is still red. Aloe Vera helped initially to reduce it but doesn't seem to have any affect anymore. I think it's going to take a while for the redness/scarring to go down for me. I am now finally seeing some hairs poking through, not as much as I would like but over the last week or so it's definitely noticeable. You can see the tufts of hair popping up especially on the left side. A not very good closeup which shows the scarring still. Bit blurry. My crown is still red as well. Running my fingers over it I can feel little hairs coming through now. Sorry my camera isn't better still using an iphone 8. Here's a top view So I had this done March 4th and 5th so I'm looking at 3 months and 6 days progress at the moment. It seems like I'm not a fast grower but looking at other peoples results months 3 and 4 I should start seeing some progress. Here's hoping!
  8. Honestly the donor was completely healed and you couldn't tell any procedure had taken place at ~1.5-2 weeks, maybe a bit earlier (sorry don't have a photo from that time)
  9. Here's today 26th March - starting to get shedding now, still red in in the recipient area at week 3
  10. Here's my phat head with the front and back coloured in by Dr Hasson on the day of the surgery
  11. Had my hair transplant 3 weeks ago now but I thought I'd create a thread for my progress. I ended up getting 3300 for the front and and 1729 for the crown. I haven't been keeping close tabs as I don't really use social media too much but I'll update this thread as I go along...
