The technicians implant the grafts, yes, but into pre-made incisions. Dr. Bisanga should have made the incisions before the technicians got started. I believe his current prices are much higher. Something like €5/graft (plus 21% vat) for him to do extractions and incisions. Now that Dr. Kostis is there, they work together and are able to get more patients. That said, you went to one of the very best clinics in the world. And the work looks immaculate. You will not regret this decision!

If 2 euro is too high, you're options really dry up. You can look up FueCapilar, Dr. Turan and Dr. Gur. I think Gur charges 1.25 euro/graft and he does the extractions and incisions.

Look, you came out pretty negative on your very first post with a very cringy username. If that's just your sense of humor, my bad I apologize. But remember that people read things like this and make big decisions about their hair. This is sidetracking the post but I'll try to answer you questions. Let's go with your number of 100 patients a month, which is probably close. They have 5 doctors (I think) and work 6 days a week. Some patients, like myself, are 2 day procedures. Let's round down to 1,000 patients per year. Not sure when they started, but I see patient cases from 2011. So let's say 10 years... 10,000 patients. You found 4 cases of sub-par results. I don't know the percentage... 10% would be disastrous, that's hair mill category. The first rule to remember is that most people don't post their transplant because they don't want others to know they had one. It's so uncommon that doctors are willing to give a discount if the patient allows them to post their pictures. The exception is when things go wrong. They want to complain, seek sympathy, support, perhaps hurt the doctor... and maybe find some emotional closure. Nothing wrong with this, I understand it. Chances are high that unhappy patients will post... chances are low that happy patients won't. Final thought... it is a big misconception that hair transplants will be perfect after one procedure. It is simply not possible to get density of native hair in one procedure. And it is quite normal to get some spots that don't fill in perfectly... a double or two in the hairline... some hair that doesn't lay down right... etc. If you are looking for perfection, you are likely going to be disappointed no matter who you go to. Even the elites are not perfect. That said, my case was a 95% homerun. I've written plenty about my experience and shared lots of photos. The clinic has asked my permission to use my photos, and I guess they going to post it on their social media, not sure.

These numbers are ridiculous. If you think HLC gives you a 10% of being "butchered" ... and are STILL going there... you're an idiot. Or you're just a troll.

All looks good! The little patch is nothing to worry about. You're going to see some uneven growing for the next several months. It's normal to look into the mirror every time you pass by it, but remember the timeline. Patience is key. It's going to come out great!

Sure, it's too soon to make any final opinions. But let's be real here... if this was done by a Turkish clinic, we would be ripping them to shreds. I get it, Eugenix is a board favorite and Bansal is legit. But come on now. The angles are wrong. I don't think any clinic (paying member or not) should get a free pass. My ethics won't allow it. I'm willing to give this the benefit of doubt, Eugenix has earned that. But I'll be unhappy if they say they are happy with this... that this meets their high standards.

Yeah, HLC extracts with manual punches performed by the doctors. I'm not partial to manual extractions, personally. Many top doctors perform motorized extractions. And of course, HLC does stick & place for implantation. Might want to check with them about that. On Edit: the price of the aftercare kit is 150 not 250.

US prices are high. The cheapest docs are at $5-6/graft. But top docs start around $8 (for FUE, FUT is less), as mentioned above. I went from Texas to Turkey. Flew business class. Stayed 5 extra days in a 5 star hotel. Did a little vacationing and sight seeing. And it would have cost me about $10k more if I did it in the US.

I thought I saw somewhere that Bisanga raised his price to €5/graft (plus 21% VAT) if he does incisions and extractions. Top docs ain't cheap! You can get it cheaper if his partner doctor does the extractions. I booked Bisanga in 7 weeks. HLC was in 5 weeks because there was a cancellation. If you can wait and have a better budget, I'm partial to the Spanish and Belgium options. They produce very natural hairlines.

Don't get too caught up on the graft estimates. It all depends on where you draw the lines. If you lower your hairline 1cm, that can be about 800 grafts with high density. And how far back you go into your midscalp. At the 2.5/graft price, you're in pretty safe territory. Go with the one that you are comfortable with and that can do it when you want to go.

I have a bias towards the doctor doing the extractions and incisions. The very top clinics have excellent techs, but at this level I would lean towards Gur doing the whole procedure.

I admit it doesn't look very dense. It is still unfinished and you could be a later bloomer. It's hard to see the implanted density since you went with a no-shave option. That said, 2,200 grafts is a lot and I would expect more improvement at this stage. Obviously, keep your spirits up and give it more time. I would reach out to Panine for feedback. Perhaps if a top up procedure would be offered, that might be worth considering. good luck!

I kinda agree that the side by side picture doesn't look very different. Which shows that you were good at styling your hair to hide the weak areas. And honestly, you hair color blends easily with your skin color, too. Only this last photo really shows your recession. At 4 months, things starting to improve for me. But it was around month 8 or 9 that it really started to look great. You're in the very early stages. It only gets better from here! Best of luck!

A second surgery is far less traumatic than your first. Yes, you'll shave your head but you have a lot of new hair that will simply just grow back. Your crown will take a while to fill in, as is normal. If you add density to your hairline, it should be easy to do by a good surgeon... and again, you won't have as much of an ugly duckling phase.

I would agree with the others... Asian hair is not so much as a consideration as afro hair would be. Afro hair curls under the skin so extra skill is needed to extract without damaging it. That said, I would say that Asian hair is closer to Hispanic hair, like mine. Especially around the sides and back of my head, the hair doesn't really lay down very well. I don't know of any photos or videos of Asian patients from HLC. But there are some Hispanic cases. You'd see many more with the Spanish doctors, like Cuoto, De Freitas, Lorenzo, etc., of course.
