  1. A big issue is that many "after" photos are taken by the patient 10-12 months after the procedure. And the selfies are always quite flattering. It's not so much that you can't trust them, it's just that many photos are cherry picked.
  2. Wow, so when he says "beard grafts" that included your moustache? I think that's awesome!
  3. I'm sorry, but I really don't like Diep's hairlines. Look at the cobble stoning. And those corn rows, ugh.
  4. This exact question pops up every couple weeks or so. You might get some value by searching the forum. That said... my opinion is to avoid all of these clinics. Turkey is full of cheap places and the results reflect that. We all want to save money, but a poor transplant is worse than not having a transplant at all. Welcome! Do yourself a favor and start going through threads from real patients, you'll learn a lot I'm sure!
  5. The difference between month 6 and month 12 is dramatic. Lots of hair has not grown yet, hair density increases and quality improves. Take lots of pics of your hair now and then the same pics at month 9 and 12. You'll see!
  6. Wow! If you're final result looks like that second pic, you should be excited!
  7. I think the problem is how short your hair is. Transplanted hair will not be as dense as your native hair. It is really hard to do. With long hair, it isn't so much an issue. With very short hair, every imperfection will show.
  8. Wow, that recipient area looks beautiful! Talk about hair transplant porn! haha! I'm so glad I was helpful. You've done your research, weighed the pros/cons, and made a decision that was best for you. I'll be the first to admit that their communication is their weakest point. They don't really have patient coordinators, they all go through that one guy and he does reply, sometimes not very fast. I think it was a good decision not to go for 50/cm2 in the hairline. And using your beard hair is smart, I wish I had that available. It's interesting that some clinics would do 4700 grafts in one day. I can't imagine getting that many incisions in such a short period of time. Now all you have to do is take care of those grafts and be patient for the next 4 months or so. Good luck!
  9. I was going through a few threads recently and I've noticed lots of photos are being taken in really flattering light. I get it, it looks better in low light, or in the car. It's the real "illusion of density" to me, haha! To those sharing photos, thanks! But for the same of honesty and accuracy, try to add some light. Here's my hairline directly in front of a window on a sunny day, and a picture taken about 15 feet away from the window.
  10. I like Turan, too. I've seen many great results in a Facebook group I'm in. Both Turan and Gur would be great additions to the forum's preferred network. Personally, I like Gur. He does traditional FUE (Turan did DHI) and has a package where he does the extractions and incisions got €1.25/graft. Excellent value, IMO. Bring a little anxious is to be expected. Everyone goes through that. My advice is to book it and don't second guess it. You've done your due diligence and have made a proper decision. As soon as you have the transplant, you'll wish you did it sooner, I promise! Good luck!
  11. 16 Month Update Got a haircut. Cut way too short. But it'll be fine. It doesn't look like it's changed much to me. These are in pretty harsh lighting. It looks super great in regular lighting.
  12. If you don't need a very large procedure, you could look up Dr. Keser in Ankara. He's *very* hands on and only does up to 700 grafts per day. Beautiful hairlines. I think he charges 3.5 euro/graft. Probably the most expensive in Turkey, that I'm aware of.
  13. This has been asked many times. I would spend some time searching the forum. Nothing wrong with having a vacation and transplant during the same trip. Just do the transplant last.
  14. The hair matured a lot. Increased in density and I'm certain more hair came through. You can see how the hair was a little "pubic hair" like. It smoothed out perfectly.
  15. There are many other doctors in Turkey other than Bicer. I gave you an excellent option but you said you only want Bicer. FueCapilar has 2 doctors and are in high demand, I believe they are booking for December currently. Dr. Yaman is also on the board's recommendation list. Not sure of his rate.
  16. I see. Yeah, that would be unexpected for me, too. As I've said, there seems to be more collaboration with Kostis. Perhaps @Raphael84 or @sl can explain the new process.
