  1. You're right, I'm jumping the gun a bit. I'll wait for a few days and hope they send out the pictures. I get where you're coming from. But 2 months of research, picking the best clinic that I probably could and then getting a result which atleast initially seems to not look right becomes very disheartening. Especially because all it takes is one look in the mirror to remind me of it. I can't go out anywhere without putting a hat on because my transplanted hair sticks out so much. So yes I do agree that I could probably worry a bit less, but most of it is warranted given what I'm putting up with. Besides, isn't the 14-17 day mark considered the golden period? Where you get a preview of what your hair will look like 8-10 months later? Atleast that's what I remember hearing and reading everywhere.
  2. She did send me a brief video explaining that some of my hair is sticking together and there has been some shock loss in the area. But the general direction seems to be fine and I shouldn't worry. Also mentioned that my transplanted hair area is looking darker (more black) than my regular hair and that this could be due to the graft being thicker (since it was from back of my head) than my natural hair. I was confused by this explanation because my temple peaks seem to completely blend in and not stand out at all. I've asked the post surgery team how I can go about getting the post op pictures that were taken by eugenix. I'll share those here when I get them. As for some other similar examples, I doubt they'll ever send me those pictures. They would have 100% put me at ease as you said but like I said before, I asked Dr Arika to send me pictures 14+ hours ago at this point but haven't received anything. Edit - this is the picture I sent her last night with my hair wet. Which in my opinion clearly brought out the angle contrast between my natural and transplanted hair. I won't draw my transplanted area zone on this photo and I'm still sure almost all of you will be able to tell where the transplanted area begins.
  3. I'll share the name at this point because the clinic has repeatedly said that the angles are okay. I got my procedure done from Eugenix, specifically from Dr Arika Bansal. I took the package where she does crucial extraction, 100% of slit making and design of hairline and also the hairline implantation. I've been in touch with Dr Arika for couple days and yesterday she assured me for the second time that the angles are ok (after I sent images post using hair trimmer at number 1). I was asked to not stress about this, and that lot of their patients have had a similar looking head 14 days post op and eventually everything turns out fine. I asked her to share pictures of such patients (with faces blurred ofcourse) and what their outcome was like, but haven't received anything yet after 12+ hours. On my first call with Dr Arika about this issue couple days ago, I told her 10+ people on this forum told me that angles are incorrect, including @Melvin- Moderator (since I had specifically mentioned even the mod of the forum, who got his last procedure done from you, said it appears that angles were poorly placed). She asked me for my username and actually went through the entire thread. She asked me to not worry about forum folks and what they say. She mentioned some other patients of hers also received very negative comments about temple peak construction before on this forum but everything turned out fine. So I shouldn't worry too much about what people say on here. Tagging folks who were interested in knowing the clinic name - @JC71 @SadMan2021 @SD1984 @JoeMan @NARMAK @LaserCaps @Fue3361 @Melvin- Moderator Given that the doctor and clinic is HIGHLY recommended on this forum, I'm curious to hear what folks think my next step should be. Now that you all know the name of the clinic, do you still think I should run for the hills? Should I still get a second consult? Or should I sit tight and see what happens in 6 months from now?
  4. Fair enough. Would it be too early to get a second consult though? I figured since most places do free consult they're looking for a patient who's going to get a transplant rather than "potential repair patient 6-8 months from now".
  5. Yeah that seems to be the traditional wisdom. Although it seems like it's more to prevent infection of scalp on transplanted area than anything else. If the grafts are secure then I don't see why a clipper at 1 or 2 would be an issue.
  6. Appreciate you checking in. I did have a meeting with the clinic. They said that my transplanted hair has grown a bit so they want me to trim it down using a clipper to see a more uniform look and then determine if the angle still looks off. I asked them if using a clipper would be an issue this early, specially because the general guidance is to not get a haircut for three months. The doctor told me the grafts have been set by now so there is no issues with using a clipper. I tried using a clipper at number 2 yesterday and tbh it only caught a tiny sliver of my hair and didn't make much of a difference. Now they've asked me to use my clipper at number 1, which I again doubt will make a difference.
  7. I see. My scabs didn't come off until couple days ago. Was a 3-4 day long process to remove them with daily washes. Keeping that in mind, should I be expecting shedding so soon? Today marks the 14th day. And I feel like all the threads here have talked about shedding occurring in 3rd or 4th week. So are the hairs in original pictures really close to shedding or is it just bad angle placement?
  8. Here are some pictures leading up to the day before the first headwash. Some of them might not be very clear but hopefully if you zoom in (especially towards the more filled area on left side) you should be able to see mini grafts and their angles.
  9. Happy to provide more pictures if it helps confirm mis-placed grafts. When you say immediate post op - is that referring to right after the procedure? Or 2-3 days after?
  10. I know there's lot of questions about which clinic etc and some of you might also probably be thinking that I got it done from a sketchy place. All I will say right now is that it's a very well reputed clinic that's recommended a lot even on this forum. Which is why I'm VERY surprised that they could do something so basic so wrong. The doctor did the hairline design and slit making. The techs did the implantation. From what I read, it seems like the angle/direction of hair depends solely on the slits that were made. So I doubt that the techs did anything wrong here.
  11. I have very thin fine straight hair. So it won't easy for the weirdly pointed hair to blend in with existing hair.
  12. This is exactly what I'm worried of. The thing is, even if the results look fine 6 months from now, they did botch up the procedure. And I shouldn't have to compromise with styling my hair because that is not what I signed up for.
  13. I'll disclose the clinic for sure very soon, but want to get a consult from them first before I start posting their name. Trust me i dont want anyone to ever go through this. On a different note, is there anything you guys suggest I should definitely ask from my doctor? From how I see it - It can only go two ways from here - either they accept responsibility that the grafts are mis-angled, or they try to fool me into believing that everything is as it should be. My major concern is that they'll tell me don't worry just wait for the hair to come in 6 months and everything will look fine. I honestly don't know how to respond to that. Have never seen anyone with fully grown hair who initially had bad direction.
  14. I see. Do you think this has a chance of looking remotely decent once the hair grows out in 5-6 months?
  15. When you say removed - does that mean remove the grafts and get another FUE procedure to fill it in? And for redistributed, what does that mean?
