  1. Oh and I also suggest starting a thread from now because when you think about it... we have used the experiences of all of these gentlemen to help us on our journey to find the knowledge and understanding of the HT world, they've been invaluable right? I've seen you in plenty of other guys threads commenting and asking questions and I'm sure they reciprocated like genuinely good souls, be the next in that line, I plan to be when it's my time, and I don't even like taking photo's etc (partially because of hair loss), but it's what we are here for : )
  2. Melvin is right though bro, you are your greatest investment, I'm sure it's hard to spend 20k on yourself, think of my position... I live all the way in New Zealand, the current exchange rate currency wise between NZ and the US is 66c to every 1 US dollar so basically if I want a hair transplant by a reputable surgeon like Konior, Diep, Gabel, Shapiro, Arocha etc, I'm looking at close to 32k for a 2500 FUE, something close to that, and it's killing me because I've spent years grinding and working to save money and now I'm facing the idea of having to spend it just on my hair, it's tough, I get it bro, but when you see the results and how good it makes you feel you will realize it was all worth it, try to stay positive... remember stress is also a cause of diminishing hair, be positive and I'm sure in some way it'll help the growth, you got this man.
  3. Hey Legend, I've been following your HT journey in the different threads in terms of your in depth look into finding the right clinic etc, congrats on going with Hasson and I hope you feel really upbeat about the possible results, are you going to create a thread tracking your entire journey? You should bro it will be much appreciated by those of us in the same boat you were a few months ago trying to find the right HT surgeon etc, best of luck with the growing mate, I hope you get a homerun!
  4. Fair point, I have nothing but respect for both Dr Hassons and Dr Wongs work, two of the best.
  5. you are lucky to have a 10k donor zone, congrats on that lol, i've read that you can get 70 to 80 grafts per cm2 but it can lead to complications, what surgeon have you chosen?
  6. Good question, I often wonder this as well, I don't think you can really predict hair loss too much sadly.
  7. He isn't asking about FUT though, he's asking about FUE, Dr Diep has quite a few FUE's documented on here and on youtube where as Dr. Hasson has a few but really has been a specialist in FUT from what I've researched, fair enough though, just seems you are going with the one who has less documented FUE results.
  8. Can you post any pics pre-op with your hairline and density? It's always good to compare to see how good the work really is.
  9. Do you have a pic of your scar after your current haircut? Because anyone can cover a scar with a good donor hair density like you have... the point of FUE is to be able to keep your hair shorter around the sides.
  10. Hey mate, from what I can see I reckon SMP would really help you with the scar, also you could get scar revision which could help as well, in terms of your hair you need some grafts added on the right side for density and maybe some toppik extra, please choose the right surgeon and I bet they will work magic for you, Dr Bhatti always sounds like a good idea over there in India.
  11. why do you need to be pm'd to see updates?
  12. Looking great man, congratulations, Dr Koniors results consistently amaze me, your first transplant with him was over 4000+ grafts, was this in one session, one day? Doesn't he usually do really conservative procedures of no more than 2k to 2500 grafts?
  13. this is a great result, is the reason this was achieved with such a small number of grafts due to the fact it was only to bring the hairline down and you didn't have to encroach into his existing hairline because that was also thinning, so is it an illusion of density created by the pre-op hairline?
  14. Great result overall, congrats. Do you do PRP or have you had any micro-pigmentation done?
  15. Sadly the thing is that so many of us have to weigh up cost as one of the main factors in choosing a HT clinic/ surgeon because the best of the best (Konior etc) are so highly priced and in the real world a high percentage of us cannot afford to go with these guys. I understand in the ideal situation price wouldn't matter, but it's also unrealistic to think it doesn't. It really comes down to what you can live with.
  16. yes, from the research i am doing there is cases where the grafts can be re-harvested and used again.
  17. As i go through my journey to find a HT surgeon I am less and less likely to go with Asmed after just so many cases of people being unhappy. I see the apologists sticking up for the work they do but the results speak for themselves.
  18. I'm also interested to find out what punch size he used? Please enlighten us and congrats on a great result.
  19. why do you ignore every post from someone asking for detailed pics of pre op? It's as though you just want to complain but you don't want us to have an accurate gauge on where you started and how far you've come.
  20. it looks good at this stage i think mate, hang in there and remember this is the ugly duckling phase.
  21. Hi guys, So I'm looking into doing some PRP treatment to help stabilize the shedding before I make the final decision as to who to go with for a HT. Being that I live all the way in NZ it is a treatment that is only really available for skin rejuvenation and the like, I have found a few places that do it for hair loss as well but I doubt they perform it on a regular basis which concerns me. My question is - does anyone have detailed information of what to look for as it pertains to PRP injections? Things such as how fast the blood is supposed to be spun and how many treatments you will need etc... Any help would be much appreciated gents.
