  1. let's see some photo's bro... usually at 4 months the growth is only beginning.
  2. this is looking good artofeden, congratulations, i hope it keeps improving to where you want it to be.
  3. Hi Deb, congratulations on your original result with Erdogan the first go around... question, are you at all concerned about all the mix reviews he has had since you had your first op? It seems as though he has had some new techs come on and the results have been a lot more hit and miss then just a few years ago.
  4. I really appreciate the detailed explanation, I never knew any of that. All I have read thus far is that you should only ever extract from the safe donor zone, it's good to know this is a case by case basis type of area on an individuals scalp. Apologies for stating you were a rep of his also, it makes sense you are his ex patient who received a good result so would advocate for him to others.
  5. Yeah these are fair points Melvin, I'm new to all this so just assume the worst after some of the horror stories I've seen. I hope this guy has had a home run result. I have a question for you since you are his rep on here... just from the photo's, why is it that Diep has gone so high into the area's of the scalp where a guy could actually go bald still? From what I read that is dangerous because these hairs won't be resistant to DHT like the ones at the back of the scalp in the sweet spot per say.
  6. I tend to assume when this happen it was either A. a less than stellar result or B. the clinic has asked them not to continue with posting and offered them some sort of free touch up.
  7. Oh wow really? I didn't know aboutm the gyno stuff, that scares me haha... where did you travel from for the op... outside of the U.S?
  8. good for you, arocha is on my short list of prospective ht surgeons so will be following your progress.
  9. good luck with this, i hope you get a great result, Dr Arocha seems to do good work, as for the question you asked about fin, i've personally been taking it for years with no side effects that I'm aware of, I hope you jumped on it.
  10. You definitely chose the right surgeon, you will get a good result in the end, i really hope you consider getting on Fin though bro because that is one of the biggest tools for fighting this balding battle, can I ask how much Dr Konior charged for 2k grafts?
  11. i hope you get a home run result mate, please keep us updated.
  12. Good luck with this nomorehats, Rahal is on my shortlist of surgeons I am thinking of going with so will be following your progress intently.
  13. hey man, don't second guess your decision now it's done, you made the right choice if it's going to bring you more happiness and self esteem, as far as the pics go you could always put some up anonymously, meaning just hide your face or whatever if that's the concern, we are all on here to support one another in this so no one will have anything bad to say - just support and advice.
  14. Thank you to each and everyone one of you guys that left a comment/ had some advice, definitely more to think about, I think you are right also, I will follow up with the doctors I am considering for the hair transplant itself. Cheers : )
  15. Hi there, You've had three hair transplants already? Who were the surgeons and what were the number of grafts each time?
  16. Thanks for that Gill, I've been taking fin and applying minox' since I was 29, I'm 35 now and though it's slowed it down it hasn't stopped it entirely, now is the time for a transplant, so I was thinking of killing two birds with one stone and tackling the facial hair portion as well, especially living in New Zealand I am a long way from the tops surgeons so if I'm going to travel to the States or Canada for the op than I may as well get both done at the same time IF it's actually a good idea.
  17. I had never heard of 'minoxidil beard journey before', thank you for the recommendation and advice : ) My issue is I have next to no facial hair, i get enough of it under my chin and around the underside of my neck but barely any in the desired area's (damn you genetics lol), hence why I'm so interested in getting it done, most of the top surgeons I'm considering for the HT don't have any pics up of beard transplants, I think Gabel might from memory but no one else.
  18. Hi guys, My first thread started on here : ) So I am 35 and have been balding since my late 20's. It's finally gotten to the point where it needs to be truly addressed beyond fin and minoxidil. I'm looking at getting a HT in the next year and I use this website largely for my research into which surgeon I am going to choose. My first question is... do any of these top surgeons do scalp to beard or beard to beard transplants as well? While I'm doing my HT I am going to also get x amount of hairs transplanted into my goatee and mustache as it is really weak and patchy. I'm wondering if surgeons like H&W, Konior, Diep, Shapiro could do both for me over the same surgery. Cheers for the advice and info boys... it's invaluable.
  19. Best of luck with it Legend, from what I've researched H&W are a great choice, i'm sorry to hear about the situation with Diep, he does good work but if he is getting like that with his patients frankly he will deservedly lose business in the long run, will be following your progress closely : )
  20. Hey bro thanks for sharing your journey so far. Have you thought of contacting them and asking for the free touch up they are supposed to give out to underwhelming results? The hole in your hairline isn't good enough by them in my opinion.
