  1. You'll need to "assist" the hairs. Don't be fooled into thinking its meant to stay just because it's holding on tight. By no means should you scrub and pick at it, but vigorous shampooing is absolutely recommended with the pads of your fingers. I still had hair sticking around at 6 weeks-a little more liberal with the shampooing and the majority fell. It's normal, don't try and prevent the inevitable from happening.
  2. I've used it for two years, the more expensive one. It's difficult to track and assess maintainance honestly. That said, if you head to pubmed there's a # of legitimate reads that suggest its efficacy. I cannot say I saw regrowth. SMG told me there's a newer version about to come out. Not sure if claims will be any different.
  3. No worries man, at least you're self aware enough to realize it. You'd be surprised how many people come here to pose questions but they really aren't questions at all--rather, people just looking to validate their own opinions. The most difficult part of this process, other than the decision to move forward, is getting out of our own way
  4. Yeah I'm not really seeing the point-unless your goal is to chase the best price and proximity relative to your location which as mentioned is a poor decision. If your goal is outcome there's really no logical reason to find the "next best surgeon". If you're in South Amerca (Colombia) then your best best it to take a quick flight to the states. Don't mess with your head. You only get one.
  5. Why the wild chase to qualify and vet an unknown when you have so many great surgeons already available to you?
  6. Good for you man. I say pimp at any age.
  7. Impossible. Particularly with a session that size. If you're getting FUT and the hair on the back of your head isn't already long, the incision and scarring will be visible. Judging by your degree of loss, I assume you wear the sides and back short. I would wait at least a few weeks to cover the scar with couvre or dermmatch. You really don't want anything on it while it's healing and reshaping. If you're going FUE, no issue with scar visibility, but then that leaves the recipient area which will have hair for a few weeks (which you'd have to explain, and then it will fall) and then you can sit back and watch it grow from there. You could probably shave the recipient hair that hasn't already fallen by say then 4-5 week mark (maybe sooner, ask someone that's done it) but again, probably better off to let it fall naturally. As for redness, it really does vary. Some guys look fine a week later, others it can linger for a while. There's really no way to know until you proceed unfortunately. Best of luck.
  8. Yes!!!! Power to the people!!! Such great news. A new lease on life for someone that really deserves it. A great reminder to concede-NEVER. A big win for the entire forum. And of course, the man of the hour. Congrats Sanjar!
  9. Lets do this! I Think we could all use a genuine feel good story.
  10. I also wonder the issue of liability if a doctor decides to use a machine that is potentially doing a majority of the work
  11. Like mentioned, a significant cosmetic difference can be achieved but chasing perfection is a fools errand. Not worth your energy or anyone's. reframe your face with a top surgeon, see how you feel from there. Who knows, you might surprise yourself.
  12. The best surgeons give the most honest advice, and dont just tell you what you want to hear. I would treat what Dr. Konior said as gospel. He's one of the best, if not the best. I would consult with Dr. Ron Shapiro at SMG in Minneapolis-also one of the best and close to your location. He will likely confirm what Konior has already shared. I would also look into Hasson for your case. I can imagine you're frustrated, just as we all are which is why we are here, but the last thing you want is someone making promises that can't be delivered. Expectations are the most important aspect of this process.
  13. Is regulation discussed at any of the annual conferences you and the other top physicians attend? I'd imagine if the top 20 doctors in the world came together to petition for stronger regulations something might be done.
  14. Of all the clinics to pick on.... Come on kids. We've got bigger fish to fry.
  15. In addition to the great advice already provided, I would inquire with each surgeon about their long term strategy and plan--not just for this procedure but the long haul.
  16. Nice result doctor. Very cool to see another successful non-shave. I think this is something all of us would love to see more success around.
  17. Try to stay calm. If you get in your own head you'll have know idea what's influencing the behavior of your other head. Some people respond well to Fin, some people have horror stories, some people fall in between. Some people don't mind being on meds indefinitely, some people do. As cliche as it sounds, it really is a personal decision you'll need to make. For now, don't masturbate for a week so the other guy has a chance to come back alive. You probably just had a few off nights--even Michael Jordan had those every once in a while
  18. Sanjay way to wait for the final buzzer man. Come on my dude! Hopefully they let you in. Pulling for ya.
  19. Or just call a few local news outlets. They live for negative stories.
  20. It's really just another potential maintainence too. Particularly lasercap. The sample size is small bc it's so cost prohibitive. I honestly don't know if it works bc maintenance is difficult to assess.
  21. Question for all, including mods: is there a petition process or something you can file with the BBB that will formally place this clinic under review? I feel like we all want to help shut this place down with all the horror stories but we're sitting idle hoping things will change. I'd be happy to help. Sure others would as well. Maybe the mods can put together a petition for signatures to send to the state. Any lawyers on here?
  22. ^^^. I've used the lasercap, the more expensive but supposedly more effective of available LLLT devices. Tough to say, but there's some efficacy, a few articles on pubmed worth reading too. Supposedly a new device coming out soon.
  23. Bauman is a real smooth talker. I'll refrain from saying anything else.
