  1. Interesting Blake. In your experience, do singles and multiples behave much differently during the regrowth process, both in terms of pace and maturation and/or survival, independent of procedure type?
  2. Only those who need to lie deflect from giving direct answers. Just look at politicians. I'd stay away.
  3. Ive spoken to a few (more than 3) clinics recently. I'll refrain from mentioning names. Early returns seems to be promising. But when I pressed on sample size, how long they had been on topical vs oral, what % reported sides before vs now, the answers became cloudier. I just dont think there's a large enough sample or reporting by clinics yet. A bit early in the game. Also, the formulations and even some ingredients differ by clinic But if you can truly localize DHT reduction to the scalp and let DHT behave naturally in the rest of the male body, this could be exciting stuff.
  4. Reduce your risks- H+W and Rahal both in your hood. GL.
  5. Looks great man. Your hairline was already top notch beforehand, now its even better. And I actually think the side that's lagging will resolve itself some. You have a good about of hair in that area, not many gaps, so it should continue to mature, You're still relatively early in the game. Also, scar looks good. We have similar complexion/hair, im a little more dark skin, but at 2.5 guard, that is solid. It too should clean up nicely over the next 6 months.
  6. Bill, not to hijack main topic-but do you implement any other therapies--min, LLLT, dermaroller, saw palmetto, etc?
  7. Question: To what degree can SMP minimize or remove the appearance of an FUT scar--by 25%, 50%, etc? I realize it will vary based on scar length and appearance.
  8. I have to say, going into surgery, the incision and subsequent scarring was my single biggest fear and the only reason I was wavering between procedures. I was ill concerned with recovery time or the waiting game. 6 months later, the latter is super tough, and the scar turned out to be the biggest non-issue. Outside of some dissipating numbness, it feels great. Point being, every month that passes it will improve. You'll notice less sensation and tightness and the skin will re-shape.
  9. Interesting. Looks like this has been studied for a few years now though. Circumcised Foreskin Aids Baldness Cure? Scientists Discover New Path To Hair Regeneration New Hair Loss Treatment Uses Baby Foreskins
  10. Sorry for the blurry shot and angle. Not sure why it uploaded sideways. On tv it definitely had the appearances and thickness of a typical FUT scar. He's pretty spotty up top right now. Also, you'd think he'd go FUE,
  11. I found dermmatch the most difficult to use. The clay-like texture combined with the sponge pen applicator makes for a poor combination. It dries faster than couvre, which has its advantages, but only if you arent working on the hairline, and can afford to be less precise. Couvre comes out more like a cream, which takes some getting used to. I was messy at first. I would use a very light amount. Its easier to apply on larger areas like the crown, and easier to manipulate overall imo. If you look at each product label closely though, you'll see they both contain most of the same ingredients. Fill-in powder is definitely the softest look. I dont use enough to have a strong feeling. But I notice the dark brown dries more like dark gray, so careful with color choice.
  12. Watching game right now, just caught this. What you think?
  13. The wiry hairs you're referring to have regrown that way after what period of time?
  14. That makes sense. So the "group" may grow differently than singles. Were you able to observe the differences or not really?
  15. 2% is a completely arbitrary and made up number. Most men do not get treatment when they have sides or even report that they have an issue. This is not the fault of big pharma, but it makes their claims even less substantiated. Just look at this large study conducted: If 75% of men actually diagnosed with ED don't follow through with treatment, can you imagine how many others go unreported? Most Men With Erectile Dysfunction Don't Seem to Get Treatment
  16. Can someone explain the difference in growth and pattern of 1 hair FU's vs FU 2's / 3's ? Do singles vs multiple FU's grow and mature any differently? I would imagine that multiples will be most responsible for greater coverage and density as they mature, but have not heard much on this topic, even though I imagine it plays a critical role in the overall visual impact, particularly later on. Thanks!
  17. The US will always remain behind on these issues. Big Pharma is lobbyist and $$$ driven like nowhere else in the world. Look no further than advertising and commercials-only the US is able to promote products. I read someone that 10x $$ is goes into advertising and marketing vs research and development. Its hardly just Finasteride. Studies are released every day documenting the over-prescribing of medications. Look at amphetamines like Adderal. Big Pharma now has commercials targeting adults with "Adult ADHD" bc they've maxed out the adolescent crowd. How many people do you know casually taking amphetamines or anti-depressants and think nothing of it? I think we all become quite desensitized as a result. I realize im going off topic, I just think you need to be your own doctor alot of the time. We all badly want to keep our hair, but the importance of DHT in the male body cannot be understated.
  18. Told you Congrats man! Hope Janna and team are able to share specifics about the study. The FUT/FUE debate crowd will be intrigued for sure. Happy healing and growing.
  19. For starters, know that this is the easiest difficult decision you'll ever have to make. Its like choosing between 2 Victoria Secret models. I consulted with both, they were my final two, I went with Shapiro. Its too early for me to speak of results or sing praise as much as I'd like to. I'm only 6 months out. But I felt equally comfortable with both and timing (strategy-some) played into my decision. I'm a very meticulous guy and was instantly drawn to both of them for that very reason. They are extremely detail oriented and both seem to genuinely enjoy their craft. Dr. Ron spoke to me on the phone for an hour on a Friday night, while Konior responded to my onslaught of emails as if I was his only patient. It was incredible. Beside manner was also crucial to me, after several bad consults and thinking ahead to post-op. It was clear they were both kind and warm and would be receptive long after my recovery. As for procedure, Shapiro was present the entire time save the final 10-15 minutes. The techs put the finishing touches on my hairline but I'd say he performed 90%. What other variables are you considering in terms of "fit". Outcome should be #1. Feel free to PM me.
  20. Spex to the rescue again. Even 6 months, as Spex will point out, you're just getting started. Try to avoid comparisons, there's so much variability patient to patient. We all fall victim to this-I am right now. Happy growing!
