  1. Donor area is easily covered if your hair is a few inches along. The recipient more difficult. If you're operating on a very small area I suppose its possible, so long as you have a hairstyle in mind that will sufficiently cover the area you're operating on. Ex-if you are restoring your hairline, have your crown and mid-scalp mostly intact, and you're ok brushing your hair forward to mask the recipient. I've yet to see someone who brushes their hair back conceal the procedure entirely. Which doctor are you considering a no-shave approach with?
  2. Have you considered switching styles and wearing your hair short(er) so the contrast benefits of blonde on fair skin can be realized? At a certain length your straight hair would be less of a factor.
  3. You can see the lines already developing bud. Looks nice and clean. Your hair/skin contrast also super ideal. Only gonna tell you what you tell me.... long way to go and patience
  4. Your mid-scalp looks the quite strong pre-op in pic #2. I'd be curious exactly how many grafts were placed in the crown as well. Remember, you'll still see some nice maturation over the subsequent months even if new hairs emerging will start to or have already slowed.
  5. You're better off with a low interest or no interest CC.
  6. Dr. Wesley in NY has several topical solutions that include Fin. I would contact his office. He made reference to solid returns so far. Dr. Shapiro at SMG is also prescribing it. Both are trusted doctors here in the states.
  7. Most top docs have a tech nearby with a click counter. I recall while in my medicated fog listening to the #'s counted off. Sure it was acccurate, +/- a few. Maybe ask what their system is?
  8. Sorry missed part of that. Yeah Dr. Ron great. If you head that way for a consult also speak with Konior In Chicago. FUE will of course be more expensive in the states than in Europe, but great docs worthy of speaking to.
  9. Run a search for "Nader", you'll see lots of comments and results.
  10. Diep is solid. PM HTSoon. Stay away from unknowns. For real, there's just too many great surgeons out there to run the risk. You need" not restrict yourself to location for such an important decision, but considering your affinity for the pac northwest, you need to contact Dr. Gabel in Portland. He's tremendous. http://www.gabelcenter.com/ Talk to Spidey about his result with H_W for FUE too. Tiny procedure but clean nice work by Hasson.
  11. That was my guess. I'll defer to HT on good/bad, he knows his stuff. I guess I struggle to full understand degree without knowing where you started. I'm sure the clinic has your pre-op photos btw.
  12. Looking closely that doesnt seem like a "bad" result for the # of grafts, just that you'd always need a 2nd pass. Unless I'm missing something from those pics. Scarring follows a distinct pattern. I have some idea I think. Do you have pre/post op pics?
  13. Both are fantastic docs. Hasson a little more known for hairlines (not to say Wong doesnt produce as well) and Wong known as a master in the crown area. Tremendous clinic overall. Not seeing pics btw.
  14. I'd only go with Rahal personally. Associating with someone great does not make you great, even if it increases your chances of eventually becoming great too. Just my 2 cents.
  15. If you look closely, he has a very strong forelock and relatively solid hairline, on one side in particular. Theres a good amt of hair, it's just shaved down. Most of the thinning is mid-scalp, which is most easily covered of any area when the hair is long and slicked back. At first glance I agree its fairly surprising to achieve such coverage, but having your hairline and most of your crown intact creates a strong illusion of fullness. Great results so far Romp!
  16. Tough love is all. I promise. Have a cousin who competed semi-professionally for a brief period. Was sides free until he hit 30. He was very responsible with testing and super knowledgeable about usage. He's now cycling medications to offset the damage done that didnt manifest itself until years after. His body is a mess.
  17. There's people that legitimately seek opinions from others, and those who seek to confirm what they already want to believe. I've countless friends with a story similar to yours. At your age, for all of men, the invincibility complex is riding high. Inevitably, you'll regret roids, but not until you decide. Nobody is going to convince you otherwise. Just remember, girls dont really care about your muscles. I promise you. The advice from others is spot on. Good luck.
  18. Bc he's humble? Dude literally traveled the globe and had in-person consultations with every name we've ever mentioned. He's gonna get a tattoo of the clinic he chooses on his left bicep too. Bad ass man.
  19. Its amazing what you dont know, until you do. The OP just got 6 months worth of research for most, in 30 seconds lol.
  20. Dr. Wesley, what is your opinion on PRP during post-op vs waiting until maturation and results have been fully realized? Any data to support? Thx
  21. You will not get a consensus, simply because everyone is different, both in their response to meds, and their position on finasteride. Some will not touch it, others wont get a procedure without it. *Are you ok taking meds forever? *Are you prepared to stop meds if your hair responds but you suffer from sides? *Would you prefer to get multiple procedures over the long haul simply to bypass the risk? *OR reduce the total # of procedures and potentially save $ and your actual hair? To me, a 5% risk of ED is like a 75% risk of a heart attack lol. Other guys on here take it, have a great response, and never look back. See where I'm going?
  22. Good stuff man. We've all been there. I landed at a top doc from help of guys like Mav and senior members. I was clueless when I arrived. Still am Dutchie, if I recall, almost went to a no-name then quickly pivoted. There's countless others. You're here now and asking all the right questions. Good on you. Now just remove Bosley from your mind. The names Mav mentioned are tops in the world. I'd talk to all of them then a few guys in your backyard we mentioned. Then the good-hard part-choosing from the best. If you have 5-6 conversations with the top clinics you'll be set.
  23. Subject line in your post says it all---you were worried, and you were right. Stay away. Mav's list above is a great one. Lindsay worthy of an add. Cooley too. Not far, based in Charlotte. In general, its not a good idea to base such an important decision on location. Rather, the strategy and game plan the doctor outlines, and your rapport with that doctor. More consults the better. GL.
