  1. Resurrecting this post...here are some updated pics with 1500 more grafts...so 5500 total. This is about 9 months after the second surgery.
  2. Hey...that's me:) Thanks again Dr.Vories, healing is going well today...not too much discomfort. Also, for those looking at the pics, my hair was just washed when the 1yr photos were taken and it wasn't styled by anything other than me just running my fingers through it...in other words...they were an extremely honest representation of my results. John, you might not remember, or perhaps it's just because my screen name isn't attached to those photos, but you and I have talked prior to my original operation. Thanks again for turning me into Dr. Vories.
  3. 10 Months The sides and back are cut at a #2 for those curious about how short you can go without seeing scars.
  4. Thanks, I'm just approaching 9 months. I did not tell anyone that I had one, other than of course my wife. People have noticed that I let my hair grow out, but I think it has a lot to do with your normal day to day look. Also, most people are pretty naive in regards to hair, unlike us...who you could probably say obsess over it. I let my hair grow out in the past, and used concealer to pull off a short hair style, but most people don't know about concealer, or what to look for. Then, when I felt my hair was too far gone for concealer, I buzzed it super short, which then looks like a choice to most. After my HT I wore a hat, and still do, on most days...so no one really ever saw my head. When it grew out, and I would style my hair...people would just say..."I never see you without a hat"...or "didn't know you had hair"...and I'd just make a snappy remark and move on. Again...most people either just don't care, or are dumb in regards to hair. If you look back at my early pics, everything up to 4 months was shaved with a 1/2 guard, and 4 months was with a 1. Being that they are still pics, you might be able to detect some thinning from fue...but I didn't see it IRL. My new pics were with a 3, and it gives me the "short sides" look I like. I could easily do a 1-2. In fact. I could buzz my head with a 1 all over and not see fue marks. For now I think this is as short as I'd want it, as it helps to look more full and gives coverage to some spots that may still be a little thin. If you are worse than I was I would think you'd want more than 4k...that is unless your hair is considerably thicker/coarser. I'm planning on going back for about 1500 more.
  5. I think that I should note that my hair is still pretty short, about an inch - 1.25 inches...and I am standing directly under a bright light.
  6. Looks good so far...I'd also like to hear answers on this question as I'm in the same boat. Can anyone provide actual photographic evidence of significant, or even decent, new growth past 6 months? Usually you just see longer hair.
  7. These are my 5 month pics...a few days late (late to be posted, not taken late). Hair is slightly damp after washing.
  8. It's looking good...it's a great feeling to see the hairline taking shape and filling in. Congrats!
  9. Thanks...I'm happy so far...can only get better from here.
  10. A couple of notables: The scarring was essentially invisible at 3 months and with a #1/2 guard...for those that are curious about being able to buzz their hair. The top was a #1 I feel like I had a burst of growth at around 3.5 months...and I have decided to let my hair grow starting now. The 4 month pics were probably at a #2 guard length...maybe a little shorter.
