  1. The list I mentioned above is basically a top 8-10 surgeons in the world. Other great ones too obviously. I encourage you to speak with as many as possible. The Wesley fee is purely a New York thing. Speaking as a New Yorker. Most consults are free. Time is money though, I dont blame them, but $250 is aggressive.
  2. Close call. You wont go wrong with either. You'll struggle to find a poor Konior result, he's peerless. But Cooley has been producing some really nice work, particular of late on the no-shave. Have you consulted with either yet?
  3. Agreed. Would be great to have a respected spokesperson come out. For a minute I thought Lebron had work done. He was constantly hiding his hairline with headbands and it would look different every time you saw him-now you can tell he's just using concealers. He'd be perfect for FUE. The stigma exists for 2 reasons imo: society is really just getting comfortable with the notion that males should and do care about their appearance. We're really in the infancy of this idea being widely accepted. Silly of course-our survival is tied to our social value and physical appearance. And then of course the chop shops and cheesy Bosley commercials people remember that demonize and mock the procedure. I think if people knew how much artistry was involved they would appreciate the process more.
  4. Oh how time flies doesn't it? Sounds like all on track. Patience remains the most coveted virtue of all for good reason Pulling for ya bud.
  5. You moving fwd with the study w/ SMG-what's the date? I had 20mg of valium in the morning, and 10mg more after lunch. I require alot to get knocked out for whatever reason. I would hit up Matt or Janna with some of these questions you've had. They are always available. But you're in good hands.
  6. Would you be comfortable with an additional procedure if that was the trade-of for not taking meds? It might be. Its a personal decision.
  7. Where on the east coast are you? Might be best to have an in-person with someone we can recommend thats a quick(er) drive or flight away. Mohebi is a class act. You should consult with multiple doctors nonetheless.
  8. 1) sorry, no insight for you here. Hopefully others can chime in. 2) You answered your own question. She (Dr. Ross) has been performing HT's for a few years and Rahal is one of the top in the world. Unless taken out of context, the assertion that theyare equals is very misleading, and, inaccurate. 3) See above. Rahal is as good as they get. H+W too. 4) More to the decision of FUT vs FUE. Research more and really think about adv/disadv to both and determine which one works best for you. Rahal's FUE results are not as "consistent" as his FUT. But that's less a knock on his FUE work and more praise of his long track record of impeccable FUT results.
  9. Do you have an iphone? Should be able to snap a bunch of different shots under different lights. If anything I find my phone camera to produce more harsh settings which is good under the circumstances. 7 months is still relatively early. Check out some of spex's reads on growth time and patience. Im just over 6 and scrutinizing hard too.
  10. Give us a few close-ups, and call out the areas of concern. I think that will help us better determine.
  11. Thought the same. Its amazing how my eyes go straight to the hairline these days. But thats also because men dont have boobs.
  12. Its worth it, although some clinics charge and others provide it complementary. NYC has a way of making sure nothing is complementary ever. Good you used it, forget the cost and move on
  13. He's a fantastic doctor. What do you need to know exactly?
  14. Thanks for the feedback guys, and for helping me keep perspective.
  15. do you have better photos? both before and after? I'm trying to get a better gauge but the pictures are kind of far and angles limited.
  16. Hello my hair friends! Update and pics below. Tried to take in harsh settings, both in natural light and under bright bathroom lights. First two pics are months 3 and 4.5 respectively for context, everything else was snapped a week ago at 6 month mark. On the plus side, I see activity happening and new hair sprouting pretty consistently. Of course, I would be lying if I said wasn't getting a little impatient. I think this stage has been the most challenging for me personally. There's progress, but I feel like some days it looks better than others. Months 1-3 you expect nothing, by month 4 you are eagerly awaiting activity to kick off, then 2 months later you have this idea (or delusion) you should be almost finished because 6 months have passed. Of course, you're really only 2 months into the core growing phase. Thankfully there's a wealth of information on here to keep your sanity in check. From that perspective, I'm feeling pretty good. I know there's a long way to go. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/152638-growth-number-sessions.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/158665-growth-times-patience.html **My hairline is beginning to blend, to the degree where its now difficult to show the difference in pre-op hairline when I pull my hair back. The lines are still developing and immature, w/ some noticeable left/right side lag. You'll see though, when my hair is laying, my deficiencies are easily masked already. **The forelock, my key frustration area, the bane of my existence, is slowly coming along. Admittedly, not to my satisfaction yet. Tons of see-through still. I purposely exposed in harsh light in one picture. I realize that because I have a good amount of dark/course native hair in the supporting area, this will likely take the longest to mature. Hopefully this continues to progress over the subsequent 6 months. Feedback welcome as always. Thanks everyone.
  17. You've been saved. Even another minute spent thinking about Bosley would be a minute wasted.
  18. Have you had any consults yet? Do you know roughly how many grafts you'd be looking at? Also being from NYC, I would grab a quick consult at Wesley to start who is showing nice results here as of late, both FUE and FUT. From there I would hit all the usual suspects-Rahal, H+W, Shapiro, Konior, Cooley, Gabel, and Erdogan, Bisanga, Feriduni, Lorenzo on FUE/Europe Front. Best way to do it. Have some calls. Pick brains. Get different perspectives and game plans. See who you have the best rapport with. Posting some pics will help garner additional opinions too.
  19. Kidding aside, I wonder how viable ass and leg hair would be vs body hair.
  20. Funny you reference that, if you watched the whole video, you'll see it focuses in on millenials born into this over-stimulated digital world, where we can "click" our way to hot naked women in ways that previous generations could not. In a matter of minutes today's guy can see more naked women than a caveman could in a lifetime. Yet, our brains are still on evolutionary time, and we aren't equipped to deal with the "connected" world we live in. It's literally reshaping our brains. +40 crowd likely in the clear of this phenomena
  21. I wonder how many guys suffering from hair loss, on fin, are also socially withdrawn, and subsequently addicted to or at least over-consume porn and suffer ED. But also, I'm not sure you want socially withdrawn angry sexually frustrated guys walking around all day either. Lol
  22. Beebz you seem to be worried about pee breaks and moving around a lot lol. You will be sporting a sweet buzz. You're gonna hit the bathroom and then daydream and watch movies the rest of the time. I promise you SMG will ease you on all of this. Don't let your mind create more drama for you than you need. You got this bud.
  23. Interesting, scary, enlightening. Something for the fin crowd to think about too. That said, I will continue my healthy dosage-of porn ; )
