This 34-year-old patient was a class 3v. He came to me wanting to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/3 of his head. He elected to go with a FUE procedure. He received 3,195 grafts. These are his results 7-month post-op. The patient is extremely happy with his results. He does understand that there is a possibility he can lose more of his own hair over the years. He is presently taking Finasteride 1mg .
Hello. Please help me decide between Dr. Konior and Dr Shapiro for my first hair transplant. I live in Chicago so Dr. Konior is close, but also Dr. Shapiro is a short flight away. I'm intereted only in FUE ( I keep my hair short). I have average to below average donor area, so every single graft counts. Your feedback is greatly appreciated based on your experience or what you know. Thanks
My name is Steve and I am 30 years old. I started losing hair about 5 years ago when I was in my twenties. I tried all the medications and the alternative medicine prescribed by dermatologist, and even folk medicine I tried. My hair is still falling and I am gradually becoming bald more and more.
I have decided to go for hair transplant with this new FUE technique that everybody is talking about. But you can see from the photos I have attached to this post how big my baldness is and some have suggested 2 sessions of hair transplant procedures to be able to cover it all, so is it right?
After searching the internet I found that Turkey is the destination to be. I tried to narrow the many search results I found and I have to the conclusion of these 3 names: Dr. Serkan Aygin, Adem and Havva Medical Center and Esteworld Clinic.
So am I heading for the good ones there in Turkey? Or would someone please recommend me and share with me some information or experiences or even suggest any other hair transplant clinics or doctors in Turkey? I am planning to get married in a year and it will be great to have much hair in my head in my wedding photos!
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
Hi there, I really need some advice. I know (from reading all of the other postings) that I am about to ask/post the most unoriginal of concerns. So here goes…. Back in late January I went to Bangkok for FUE transplant. I did lots of research and found Dr Path, who seemed to have really good results. It wasn’t cheap and I got around 2400 grafts/hairs. My problem is that now 9 ? months later, I have very little growth. It’s patchy and you can clearly see where the transplants were done, as there is almost a line of wispy thin hair. I wouldn’t be so concerned and would wait, if not for all of the large gaps and spaces where no hair has come through. I have contacted Dr Path about this and am awaiting a response… I guess I am here for some advice or to see if anyone has had a similar experience. To find out if this is normal and if there is any hope that more hair might appear and that the hairline will actually start to grow in. Pictures attached.
Thank you so much. It’s kind of nerve wracking when you’re not just reading peoples questions, but putting your own out too.
FUE stand for Follicular Unit Extraction and FUT stand for Follicular Unit Transplantation.Basically, both are hair transplant methods.
FUE Method: In FUE method the grafts are separately removed from the patient's donor area and then individually transplanted to the recipient area.
FUT Method: In this method the doctor removes a strip of tissue from the donor area, an area within the permanent zone, and, once extracted, the donor strip is cut into many individual Follicular units using microscopic dissection techniques.
So basically, we can say that FUE is the best method for hair transplant because it is pain and scar free.
This 37-year-old man came in to reverse the loss throughout his hairline. Results from his 2131-graft session of follicular unit extraction (FUE) by Dr. Wesley can be seen as early as seven months after the procedure. Full growth is typically appreciated a year after the session. However, with the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and ACell used within the graft storage solution, hair growth has trended earlier for patients.
Of note, even FUE patients of Dr. Wesley's are NOT required to shave the hair within their recipient area if they wish to return to work and social activities within a week to 10 days.
