  1. To each individual, privacy is comforting and protecting one's self is important too. Head dressings help protect the donor area from UV damage and infection as well. It's always a good idea to protect the scalp from trauma, but very careful attending any wound helps expedite healing.
  2. Magnification with a trained eye would be a simple solution with an experienced and skilled doctor and team. Thanks for sharing.
  3. What is the reason for thin, unnatural-looking coverage after surgery? Is it subsequent hair loss, less than ideal regrowth, or too early to be premature growth? Where is it and what is it? In hair loss and hair transplantation, it can seem like the progress comes as slowly as the regrowth happens. Hair loss can be unnoticeable for years, and the coverage from surgery can be unnoticeable for over one year. With many individuals, the surgery allows them to be at the point where their loss would have progressed had the surgery never been performed. The possibilities continue after and before you realize what's happening.

  5. Hi, Mop85. How has your growth come along? Hi, everyone. No single punch size indicates a patient's hair characteristics (kinky or curly), and no single punch size can be used for harvesting any two patients' donor regions at the exact yield rate in the same surgeon's hands. Dr. Patrick Mwamba has developed a very successful yield in patients with Black hair, the most difficult to extract with FUE. As an expert in Black hair, MYWHTC clinic's FUE results are pleasing in both the donor area and recipient area. This type of surgery takes patience, innovation, and dedication.
  6. The pitting is a problem if you want to look like a naturally balding man. The crown can be covered with a concealer like Couvre or Dermatch. The scar can be treated with beard hair grafts or a concealer too.
  7. At least research their results. Take a few moments and compare the results of cases most similar to yours.
  8. May you post some photos? There may be a couple of reasons why you appear to have only stubble after 11 months.
  9. For the educated, the loss is pain that hurts mentally, physically, and financially in the ugliest way.
  10. I've seen some results with no surgery. Not many are actually published but a new forum section might inspire the community.
  11. Most doctors have preferences and confidence given the patient's history, expectations and goals, and characteristics. Some use their skill set and instrumentation, but not all top doctors are equally graded. Some remain within a certain degree of difficulty and must pass on cases. Looking at the results, out of the top 15 in the world, none perform exactly the same although they may use fewer grafts for more coverage.
  12. Thanks for sharing the updates. Looks good thus far. Do you have any immediate post-op photos?
  13. Depends on the details: a young patient with straight, light brown hair of a medium fine caliber and fair skin can have the world in the average hands of doctors. Location of the recipient area, hair characteristics, and forehead shape would factor.
  14. Each hair has its own cycle and will come and go for a given number of cycles in its life.
  15. There are translation apps available for phones. You may plan ahead for a three to five-day travel itinerary. Generally, you should be fine on traveling the day after the procedure. Bring travelers' checks and no more than $2k in travel cash.
  16. The temples appear to have hair growth at unnatural-looking angles. You have a couple of options to create an improved aesthetic appearance. The frontal hairline may need a touch-up as it appears that the difference in caliber of the non-transplanted and transplanted hair is obvious. The touch-up, if you choose to do so , should be accomplished with very fine grafts and conservative hair density to add more coverage and hide the skin of the scalp. FUE may be a better option to manage your donor resources for the corrective procedure, but you should go to a hairline specialist to avoid unnecessary scarring.
  17. Try to avoid moving in bed while sleeping by staying awake until you actually need sleep.
  18. I tend to see that donor harvesting is less noticeable and improves the illusion of density in the lower vertex.
  19. Hi. Has your clinic been made aware of what you are experiencing? You have options that can treat the appearance of the skin. Also, may you post a photo?
  20. Welcome to the forum. Based on your message, you are on a good path to hair restoration. You should look at similar cases to what you would want in terms of goals and type of work. You will find that some clinics put in more effort to inform and have more compassion to help their patients benefit and achieve. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Ask yourself about what you are really trying to accomplish with your unique hair loss goals. You should consider a second opinion if you are choosing surgery as the first and only option. Combating hair loss involves a treatment plan. Research treatments that can offer benefits of improving the appearance of your hair. Treatments that help manage the effects of miniaturization are important to your case.
  22. You may be stressing from adjusting to the psychological effects of having more hair up there. Relax and stay positive.
  23. Definitely see where you progress with medical therapy, but you could see an improvement with the addition of a consistent hair density and low number grafts over more than one surgery. Based on the photos, you could also save resources by utilizing a concealer. Additionally, you might benefit from other alternative hair loss treatments (e.g. Platelet-rich Plasma).
  24. This patient is returning to our clinic in Belgium, and we will have an opportunity to capture excellent photo results at that time. The new hairline distinctly frames the face.
