  1. Hi Rez1, You may have about 4,000 grafts that can be harvested via FUE. An FUE session will allow a good FUE surgeon to efficiently select the best quality of hair over your entire donor region. Most knowledgeable FUE enthusiasts will refer to this process as cherrypicking. The hairs per graft, the caliber of hair, and pigment of hair can be selectively chosen to improve the overall result from the procedure. The aspects of FUE that you should be mindful of is cost, transection rate of the surgeon, and experience of the surgeon's medical assistants. Don't pay too much and don't pay too little either. Transection is the terminal damage of your donor resources. Since your donor resources are certainly finite, you want to ensure that they aren't being wasted by inefficient harvesting methods. Hopefully this response appropriately addresses your question along with any concerns.
  2. See, this is a result that can make a man  jealous if he isn't careful. I had to bump this one just for sheer appreciation. What a great new beginning for this forty-plus-year-old gentleman.
  3. Belgium is the capital of Europe for a reason. This is a very affluent place to experience European culture. If you can get here, I can bet that you will enjoy yourself dearly. Ryanair has literally the cheapest flights throughout Europe. 4. I know, Belgium arguably has the most skilled doctors in all of Europe. It's commonly referred to as the capital of Europe. Maybe the Belgian economy along with its geographical location are the main reasons that it is so affluent. I enjoy working in Belgium for many reasons. I have heard of the MACS facelift but I couldn't tell you if it would be your best option. I can't say that I have seen many depictions of post-op healing with this method. Why not schedule a consultation with these two doctors? Maybe you could even talk to a few of their patients as well. I would be inclined to do some in-depth research before booking a consultation so that you can have some knowledge and understanding of this particular method. I am sure that you would like to have many questions answered while you discuss this option in consultation. Surgery is never one hundred percent scar free and I am sure that there are other possible side effects to consider. I know that many facelift procedures can cause unwanted effects to the orientation of the frontal hairline. I am definitely interested in knowing about your future findings. Best wishes. Gio
  5. Hi Mickey85. I am Gio from World Hair Transplant Center. I agree with your honest opinion and it is definitely valued. Patients' physiology can't be blamed every time the strip scar doesn't turn out to be thin. It's an unspoken subject in more cases than I can count. The potential for hypertrophic scars, stretch-back, and keloids should be discussed as part of informed consent. The subject of donor scarring and possible effects of surgery should be more openly discussed in public forum. Full disclosure should be the only promise made regarding hair transplant surgery. Protecting consumers with credible information is only relevant. The current common practices omit discovery of scarring for the newbies and uneducated patients. Inconsistency is transparent when integral representation is merely necessary. Many clinics have ambition to promote competence against surgeon fallibility. Clinics are less likely to present cases of bad strip scarring if effective treatment methods are unavailable. In reality the bad strip scars aren't being discussed for several reasons which are as follows: experience, treatment techniques, and instrumentation. Sometimes patients aren't properly evaluated and investigative medical research isn't properly conducted. In very unfortunate instances, there are patients who have undergone one too many strip procedures. Little do they know that stretch-back can occur up to sixteen months after a strip procedure. The directional change of hair in the donor area is a lesser known associated after-effect of the strip excision. Hi WHTC-7706631290, This post is very valuable in multiple ways. The fact that many patients aren't told this info before the fact of having surgery is travesty. Good work! 6. I have seen many men suffer the agony of hairloss. You look at their eyes and see a fragile person who wants to stop the mental anguish from losing what they seem to think is their identity. If there is one thing that men should know is that we have to do what makes us happy. The problem that I face is getting older and not knowing where my degree of hairloss might extend. I help people with their hairloss but I still have to come to grips with my own. I enjoy the positive atmosphere of this Hair Transplant Network. Most of us are in this online community to keep all of our hair hopes alive. Together we all face the faceless beast of hairloss which is nothing easy to do. Hairloss takes no prisioners and leaves everyone behind; including the innocent and the uninformed. We step to its beating drum like soldiers with orders. Not one of us is immune to the effects of hairloss but at least we can say that we can be on one accord as unique individuals. Life is unedited, uncut, and uncensored. These conditions beat any dreams that lack real commitment. All of us can really help ourselves by helping each other get through this thing we call hairloss. I compete with myself to help as many hairloss sufferers as possible. I believe in empowering each and every individual who needs hair. Belief makes things real.
