  1. Growth in the front is a tad slow but should be good after 12 months. I question the lack of growth in the mid to rear scalp. Hopeful that you have dormant hair there
  2. This is joke? Unbelievable that the doctor believes his work is up to current standards. Doctor, 25 years ago your results may have been regarded to be acceptable but unfortunately HT has progressed and you've been sadly overtaken by much (i emphasise much) more skilled doctors. This is a a sad sorry case.
  3. I'm a bit dubious restarting minox after HT before I see grafts grow out. I'll wait 3-4 months til i see the grafts pop up.
  4. I wonder if min improves ht growth? Or does it only benifit native hair.
  5. Because coverage pre surgery was thin anway, even if the guy loses all the native hair, he'll still have fairly good coverage with 4200ish grafts dense packed into the frontal and mid scalp. Future work on the crown may be needed though. Additionally its a good thing the guy didnt lower the hairline. Saved the 1000 grafts that would've been needed for lowering the hairline to instead be used for extra density.
  6. Can you lose a lot of native hair in 12 months? Yes unfortunately that can happen. I lost almost all of my front left from the hairline extending to mid scalp in 12months and lost 50-60% of my density on the right side. You've had a HT.. so permanent shock loss is a possibility but in your case progressive diffuse hairloss is likely to be the cause of your current condition.
  7. I suspect what has happened is that your hairloss has progress, you've lost some of your native hair by permanent shock loss and/or progressive natural hairloss. So the transplanted hair has grown and you've loss native hair. The net effect is what you can see as "no transplanted hair has grown" If you had your hairline lowered a little, you will clearly see the evidence of my above comment. If you believe the above theory wasnt the case, that is a major disappointment from a HT..
  8. I'm not convinced a HT without shaving the recipient area will be as good as shaved. By good I mean grafts are placed where they should be and need to be and as quickly as possible. Sure without shaving will be less embarrassing but I'd much rather endure short term awkwardness for the best possible outcome. but with that being said, nice results on above examples.
  9. I think its better to use most of your available grafts in the front and then tapering off as your get to the mid and rear area. if it was me, i'd be doing this.
  10. Great yielding, marked improvement from ground zero. But I think a better hairstyle will do the work done more justice .
  11. I wonder what the preop was before the 1st HT. Had decent coverage after 1 HT but definitely looks stella after 2nd HT.
  12. Day 28. I've had a bit more graft fall out and seeing the onset of new hair pushing up. Not much differences from day 20 so hence no photo. Things are going along as it should be so it'd be all upside from 4-5 months onwards. Anyway, this will be my last update for a while. I dont know if there is much interest and value in what I am showing based off response so I'll just leave it for now. Pm if any questions or request an update and I'll do my best to help based on my own experiences. But as for regular updates I'm not certain if there is much interest in FUT cases now days. I'll definately update at 6 months and in a year or so. Until then regards Logan
  13. 3000+ grafts in 1 day? Thats crazy. It'd be pushing way pass.15-16 hours imo. My HT by FUT of 3261 grafts started at 1030am and finished at 7.30pm. I would bet the doc and techs would be wrecked with 1 full day of 3000+ fue grafts that would take 15-16 hours plus to finish. And I'll officially deem that a very rushed job.! Be ready for a world of transection and pain. People are playing with fire if they expect a quality outcome by pushing unrealistic expectations such as more than 1000 fue grafts in one day. There is a physical limit on how much a human being can work. FUT still takes 10hrs for 3200ish grafts.
  14. Your hairloss is very severe. You may end up with hardly any hair at all by your late 20s or early 30s naturally. You need good reliable donor hair to have a HT. So if you are going towards the direction of near entire head hairloss, which by your photo it looks like, then HT from scalp hair will not be an option because thoses transplanted hairs are weak and eventually fall out by your late 20s or early 30s. what type of hairloss does your father, brothers or uncles have? This will give you a guide to your own hairloss pattern. you should taking finasteride asap if you hope for any chance of regaining hair. In conjuction with topical 5% minoxidil. If you are in better shape in 5-7 years, consider HT from beard or body hair and SMP. I'm not sure that scalp HT would be successful in your case.
  15. day 20: The left side had very little native hair and absolutely no hairline. Great to see some growth there this early. Had a bit of shedding for about a week, but it looks like I'm starting to get regrowth under close-up. Some of the strong grafts are remain intact. I'm counting 30-50 hairs each wash. closeup L) hairline front on
  16. I'm not worried about shed on fin, its to be expected. I'm more worried about minox on vulnerable grafts, doc said it was ok at day 15 but i'm yet to resume minox. Try neem oil, its anti-fingal properties is excellent and improve hair luster. I apply it every 4 day. Leave it in your hair for 30min before washing.
  17. why is the recipient area so black? doesn't look normal
  18. I'm more than thrilled with the shedding from resuming fin  Tbh I'm not sure when I'll resume minox.. just wanting more info first. I've just been using coconut oil and neem oil om alternating days since day 15. I think its worked well to keep the recipient area moisturised and healthy.
  19. I'm day 26 post HT. I've had mild shedding of the recipient area but still retaining 60%+ of my graft hairs atm. I'm yet to resuming minoxidil.. holding off just to be cautious as I dont want any adverse reaction. Are there more benifits than negatives from using minoxdil at this point. Any personal accounts of min after HT would be helpful thanks Logan
  20. I'm not sure you are a good candidate for a HT using hair from your scalp. I can already see diffuse hairloss in your donor area and it's fairly advanced for your age. Perhaps HT from beard and body hair is the only HT option. Stick to fin and minox for life. HT is an option in a few years when/if your hairloss improcves.
  21. that probably would be great too see but I think the work speaks for itself. If great outcomes can be achieve with 1 type of ethnicity, you'd think great outcome would be there for all. As Dr. Wu indicated, Asian hair types have more singles and the shafts are longer which puts grafts at risk compare to other ethnicity. So if these results can be achieved on Asian hairt-type then it can be done more easily with Caucasian or darker skinned.
  22. Really great information hair characteristics provided Dr.Wu. The transformation is quite extraordinary.
  23. Haven't seen results or reviews from Dr.Path for a very long time. What's happened? Rusty. Please get your dental work done first. You'll be in a world of hurt if you do HT first then dental 2nd. Do your HT in your final week if you intend to play. Once you get your HT and if its FUT you wont able to do much vigioros activities for at least 3-4 weeks.
