  1. Great result. Remembering its 7 months. I've seen worse quality photos from ht patients posted on this forum that get more praise than this guy is atm. Its obvious be will not get back native density (its impossible to achieve) but it appears this guy will get pretty close to the perfect result from a ht. If the after photos were taken by the clinic there would be issues.
  2. Following a few request for an update, I thought I'd oblige. It's kind of "warts and all" update with the daylight and wet hair. I'm at 4 months and 10 days, things are moving along well. Still have a lot of stubble growth hair on the left side that's yet to push through. photos take on Samsung s4. Wet hair after shower Dry hair 1 minute after shower Dry hair 1 minute after shower taken with flash Outside in the daylight sunny day
  3. If someone has to resort to using armpit and pubic hairs for HT, I would proclaim they are not the best candidate for HT. People in that situation think about about moving on, Imagine if the crabs decide to migrate to your head
  4. I take Foligan supplement. I apply 15% minoxidil once a day at night 1/5th Proscar (approx 1mg) daily. apply bio-oil to donor scar in the mornings. shampoo my hair every 2nd day. Between shampoo days I condition my hair with neem oil only. for people who dont know, neem oil is great for hair. Its anti-fungal and very norishing and moisturising for hair. The down side, it stinks.
  5. I would suggest you bring along a neck pillow, Johnson&Johnson baby shampoo and a hair dryer that has cool-air function to dry your hair if you are leaving your hair long. Also have betadine ointment to apply to the donor scar if you are doing FUT to prevent infection. Bring a loose cap or hat to protect your head from the sun for the next 2 months. DONT eat seafood after surgery. You might get sick. And the Chinese believe seafood promotes bad scar healing after surgery. I have not idea if that is true, but I did get sick (the runs) after eating seafood. In hindsight, I would've cut my hair short rather than leave it long. I think my shockloss in the donor area would've been less if I had my hair shorter. Pack lightly, heavy luggage you will risk stretching your scar. I was backpacking before my HT so I was carrying a lot more than I should have. But I hire locals to carry things, a bit risky but that what I had to do to prevent over-stressing the scar.
  6. Thanks for the additional photo. Exceptional outcome from Dr. Hasson as we all come expect. The problem was initially presenting this case without lifting up the fringe to show what was behind it. Now that its been done, we can all view it "warts and all" and hence can give much better and accurate feedback. Thanks for sharing coverage is actually really great.
  7. I'm concerned about of the presentation of this case as it might look better than it actually is because of the long hair being combed over. Before my HT I had severe loss in the front left and thinning in the front right. I grew my hair long and parted it from right to left making me look like i didnt really have a hair loss issue. Just have a look at my post. I reiterate my point. The illusion of coverage is excellent but with extensive pre ht hairloss and the hair styling is a bit "covered" and lacking seeing what is behind the comb over, I am doubting the "wow-ness" presentation of this case is projecting.
  8. yeh sure, it's an improvement from pre-op but not by much. It still looks awkward having a tuff in the front and no density behind it. The texture of the hair is rather un-natural also.
  9. Heavy diffuse hairloss in the donor area may make you a poor HT candidate. You're 25 and showing advance hairloss and your donor area looks weak. You may not have much hair left when you're 45. The transplanted hairs might fall in line with hairloss of your donor hair.
  10. Dr. Radha is an exceptional surgeon. I'm at 4 months and growth is remarkable, I was expecting to be where I am at 6-7 months not 4 months. Hairline design suits my face shape. Linear scar cant be seen on guard 3 cut. Hoping to do a guard 1 buzz at 12months to see how it looks. There are cheaper options in india for HT, even fue is cheaper by some than Dr Radha. But cheaper is not always best esp when it comea down to low donor supply. The reason why i went with Dr. Radha? Because she is a female surgeon. There are not many female anything in this world compared to males. The females who reach the top in their field work harder and smarter to get to where they are (this is a male dominanted world). Additionally females are nurturers by nature and less prone to male flaws like ego and greed. All the best with your ht, whomever you go with.
  11. do not pop any pimples, you have the potential to cause infection and scaring unnecessarily. I use betadine ointment on it and it will eventually go away in 3-5 days.
  12. I take Foligain supplements.. type it in google and you'll find it. It's a good product, my hair and nails is much improved since I've been taking it.
  13. From my personal experience, if I had to go through my FUT HT again I would've cut my hair short all over with the buzzer on guard 1. Much easier to keep an eye on whats happening with the strip scar and to apply any antibiotic ointments to it etc.
  14. 3 months & 3 weeks. Daily noticeable growth from the 3 month mark. I've had a haircut and now styling my hair. The left side still needs a few more months to fill-in but I'm not conscious about my head anymore like I was last month. Daring to even take photos outside on a sunny days now, coverage looks fairly decent with the styling.
  15. Great outcome. If grafts permitting, a 2nd HT could allow to wear your hair much shorter.
  16. Thought this update might prove helpful for those who are in the early stages post-FUT or contemplating a HT with Dr. Radha I'm at 13 weeks, every week from 10 weeks onwards has seen good improvements. Shedding begun at the 30-45 day mark and shockloss of donor area occurred the 30-60 day mark. Once shockloss stopped, its been all growth. 13 weeks Right hairline (my better side at pre-op) Left hairline (my worse side at pre-op) Front on (the left side is catching up with the right side. Compare this too 8 weeks its looking pretty good) Scar (at 13 weeks, can hardly see it) 8 weeks: I'd approximate about 80% of the transplanted hairs had shed. Looking pretty bleak at the moment. 2-3 weeks pre-op
  17. Your young age is a huge factor because you'd be more bald by the time you're 32. Any HTs at a young age is inherently risky dues to future hairloss. You have good donor area. It appears you could retain the front forelock. But I dont know many surgeons that would work on young advanced NWs such as yourself. Start using 5% minoxidil twice daily and 1mg finasteride daily to prevent further hairloss. In some cases you can get decent hair regorwth. Stabilise your hairloss first and go on with life for 2-3 years with a shaved head. In your mid-late twenties, re-assess things. Lastly, Don't do anything rash like doing a HT with a surgeon other than the recommended surgeons from this forum.
  18. This fella must have top-notch hair calibre to achieve the result with 2000 grafts for that area size. The illusion of density is awesome. Its more like a result from 3500+ grafts with average calibre.
  19. Great to see you posting up some patient cases Dr.Radha. Hope to see more in the future.
  20. heavy weight training could increase testosterone levels and contribute to increase conversion of test to DHT. If you are taking supplements and test boosters then you'll likely see faster hairloss than normal. If you are negative caloric intake or insufficient in vital minerals and vitamins, this can contribute to hairloss too.
  21. I've experienced shock loss around each of the 18 retaining sutures.. so if you are planning to shave your hair to a guard 3 or 4, you'll probably see the same thing as me - vertical bald stips. So don't freak out if you see this on yourself fella.
  22. There is no issue with your scar. There is hair growing in pink area which is a good thing, the density in the pink area looks good as well. The pinkness is healing from trauma and will fade with time. I'm at 40 days and my scar looks like yours.
  23. It's been 2 months post op.. the longest 2 months of my life. About 80% of the transplanted hairs had shed and the grafts seem to be about a month or two away from seeing good growth. There is random growth here and there. The scar has healed very well. My only concern is the shockloss caused by retaining nylon sutures. I have 18 vertical bald strips 2cm x 0.5cm. Perhaps I've reacted to the nylon sutures or the sutures were too tight? If it wasn't for the tram-lines on my head, I would've discarded my cap a few weeks ago. But alas, I'm gonna have to wait another month or two for the existing hairs to cover the area. I certainly hope the shockloss is only temporary.
