  1. Its strange no one has aksed me or even noticed anything different. I wore a cap at work for 3 months saying I had bad ezcma and my hair fell out. After 3 months I took off my cap and i was kind of half grown in and people didnt ask me a single questions cos i was the same as I was before the HT. Now at 5 months my hair is gone back to what it looked like at least 7 years ago. Lucky for me noone has asked even now. In terms of dating the dating game, I've seen 5 times more hits online now than before, even getting interest from Caucasian and other backgrounds outside my own. I don't get any more bald stare now
  2. Had side effects with 1.25mg.. Taking 1mg is much much better
  3. This is stupid crazy amazingballs. Far out! Density is off the charts.
  4. Your HT with Dr. Radha's looks good. You're growth is approx 2 months ahead of average, should see more growth & be much thicker at 6 months. You had 4100 grafts for a large area, it'd be interesting to see how it looks at 15 months, you could need a 2nd HT to fill in the gaps.
  5. Thanks for sharing. Excellent coverage. What do you say to people you know but haven't seen you for a long time when they ask you : "how did you get more hair" or "your hair looks different, what did you do" etc... You went from a 0 to 10 within a year so it must be a shock for some people who've seen you as nothing but bald for years and years before this
  6. I hope your get regorwth 404. It wouldn't make any sense if they were growing strong at 6 months then shed and didn't regrow. They're supposed to be safe-zone hair? In terms of ceasing minox I would recommend people wean themselves off rather than stop it cold. ie. after 12 months of twice daily application, cut back to once a day for the next 2 months, then try every 2nd day for 2 months, then every 3rd day for 2 months, then etc etc.
  7. I think this is a great result despite the poor quality of photos. But for general day-to-day photos shots which one might take to post up on facebook or social media sites, no-one who doesnt know about HT will ever suspect he has a hairloss issue. Obviously in real life and up close photography with a better camera things will look a lot difference. Example of this is my thread, photo taken from my SLR vs camera phone.
  8. This certainly appears to be shedding of DHT sensitive hairs rather than the transplant hairs. If shed of transplant hairs occurred then you'd also see some shedding of the permanent native hairs resistant to DHT outside the recipient area shed as well because when apply minox these areas would've inadvertantly had minox on them as well. What I see is an even shed in all the area of the MPB area.
  9. This is the 2nd subpar outcome from Rahal in as many weeks that come to my/our attention. Whats going on here??
  10. Firstly you need to be aware about the hairloss patterns of the members in your family who've lost hair. This will provide you with a prediction of your own hairloss pattern. If i were you I'll be on finisteride and minox for a year and then have a HT. Your 20s are your prime years and it sucks hard boiled eggs to have loss at that age. At your age, your preferance for short sides and back and your pattern of hairloss, FUE will best because it will still give you the option of having your hair short.
  11. I've been lucky to have early growth at close of 5 months but I still have 3 areas the size of small pebbles that are still relatively bald. I wouldnt expect these 3 areas to show full growth until 12-15months. I think the average ht patient experiences growth at 6-9 months so it's just a waiting game BG
  12. Play it safe and wait til 45 days cos thats when my scalp looked ans felt 85% normal. But best to avoid artificial chemicals from hair products for 3 months if you can hold that long. Its not based on any scientific facts but it makes common sense not to add any potential non medical irritants to your healing head. I waited 30 days before restarting minoxidil because concerns about the alcohol in rogaine having a drying effect on the scalp. When i did start minox i started getting pimples.
  13. This is an interesting case and I'll like to share my impartial point of view, not knowing either etneral or dr.bhatti Dr Bhatti: I've been impressed by his candidness and professionalism on many occasions when he has addressed the forum with patient concerns & issues. He articulates very well and appears to be genuine and also has detailed replies. In terms of his results, I think its solid. It appears to me Dr.Bhatti does take on higher NW cases than the usual FUE surgeon and this my be the issue of perceived "poor results" eternal: You started off very bald & very thin in the donor. It appears to me that given time without medication you might have very little donor area remanining when you reach age 55-60. 3200 grafts for 1st HT is only enough to build a satisfactory hairline and some density few inches behind it. 1000 grafts and 800 beard grafts will add more density to the 1st HT but it won't do much to improve your appearance in a major way in terms of having the freedom to style your hair short. The comb over style is the best style for your situation. The after photo provided by Dr.Bhatti demostrates a result which I would expect from the 2 HTs and your hairloss profile. With FUE there is a lower yield rate so perhaps not all of the 4800 grafts would've been successful. I wonder how many grafts were transected and discarded and how many were damaged during harvest and implanted or if your donor area is vulnerable to DHT perhaps they succcumb to shockloss. FUE yield rates for beard grafts be even lower than normal FUE grafts so I wouldn't bank to much on getting too much success from those grafts. Overall I think Dr.Bhatti has done a good job with limited resources. Could it have been better? Perhaps? But eternal is much much less bald than what he was before. Also, better photos from both sides would be good to assess the situation fully.
  14. Been a while since I took high resolution photos, last ones were at 3 months. At 4 months & 20 days there's quite a lot of improvement I've been getting a lot of pimples though, a massive one on my donor scar on the left temple and numerous small ones in the graft zones.
  15. This result is as good as it gets in ht, so A+. 8000+ grafts with Hasson will always yield a great result. The consistency of the photography is B+ but a whole lot better than Erdogan's efforts which is pre wet and post dry. home1212: In one's 20s hair is very important. I feel sorry for those who lose hair in the early 20s. It greatly diminishes one's success in dating scene and also in the career/professional life. So for this fella to get hair back to look the part it's a great thing. So based on that, it's not too early to have ht in your early 20s.
  16. Looks great, good growth.. BUT Photo standardization would be a good thing when clinics are comparing pre/post. If the same background was used then there shouldn't be any difference in the background color as we can clearly see here. The blacks on the post photo also "pop" more than the pre photo, likely caused by using flash. I suspect the before photo was taken without flash and post photo with flash.
  17. ? Great final result but there are some doubts. The initial photos are over exposured and under contrasted Final photos are under exposed and over contrasted and light and white balance is way way different. This photo example is poor.. Lacking standardization. Clinic presentations really need to be a lot better than this, its borderline deceptive.
  18. You've missed the point completely scar5. The comparison is the best possible result from FUT and FUE. 5000 graft harvest virgin scalp: scarring from BEST result from FUE is a lot better than FUT with grade 1 buzz, compariable at grade 2 and with longer hair virtually the same. At grade 2.. Fue man will h have thin donor compared to fut man. At grade 1 fue man is good and fut man will wish he did buzz so close. In terms of yield, Fue man will have less yield than fut man. These are facts. Everyone's donor supply is finite. I'd rather a linear scar with better yield than have a dot scar with lower yield rate. Fue will make my hair mangey cut down to grade 2 back and sides. For me fue of 1200 grafts or less will be ideal and thats what i might consider after my 2nd pass of fut if required.
  19. Its a nervous thing waiting. Growth will be uneven. There will be areas that will show growth really early and other areas that may stay dormant for around 6 months or more before showing signs of growth. Dont worry too much to its around 12month should you have growth issues.
  20. extract 5000 individual fue grafts from a donor area from the average ht patient and the donor area will look mangey and pretty thin with hair cut down to grade 2. Compared to 5000 taken from fut for the same person and the donor area will appear normal with the same cut. Fue is not all that.. but neither is fut. Each has its own issues. Choose accordingly based on your goals and hair characteristics.
  21. I cant see any growth yet based on those photos. With me at 2 month I had 80% shed but what was encouraging was that I could still see the follicular units. They looked like tiny pin-holes where the hairs once were. 2-3 weeks after the shedding stopped I notice steady growth.
  22. I'd much prefer a linear scar to get high yield. I wouldn't do because my donor area will look very mangy and sparse dues to my hair characteristics. For others with different goals or hair characteristics FUE could be a better option.
  23. I can seen progress from 7,8,9 months but it's very slow. Let's hope you get growth you're after by 15 months.
