  1. give it 15 months. I had growth & shedding cycles every 2-3 months from the 3 month mark. It stabilized at around 15-16 months.
  2. Dr. Radha has never been the best at communication but it appears that it's gotten worse. It's a shame because by and large, her results are good. My results were stella, 2 years on I'm rocking it without concealer. I only emailed Radha 2-3 times then booked my procedure, it is wasn't an issue for me. I did find her communication slow and even absent at times to which I needed to email her a 2nd time to get a response. This could be a big problem for potential clients who want ask her questions and get reassurances before they book a procedure.
  3. you'll go through many periods of shredding of recipient and donor area to lesser degree. Even at 9 and 12 month stage you'll still get shedding of recipient area.
  4. This 2nd pass looks less densely packed than your first HT so you should get a better result. In my opinion your first HT was so densely packed that the grafts probably died due to lack of oxygen/nutrients/circulation.
  5. noting from where you started, 3 years post HT it's looking great.
  6. I can't really remember perhaps at day 12. but you should just follow the doctors instruction my friend.
  7. Scar you've almost rebutted everything Dr Bhatti has said, almost to the point that your opinion have a favour of being misguided arrogance.
  8. An intetesting side affect of fin is a reduction of body hair. The hairs on my arms legs and chest hair have significantly thinned out in density and caliber at least 50% since taking fin 2 years ago. And a mild reduction in beard facial hair density. Experiencing these sides it makes me wonder about how succesful BHT would be if people are then taking fin. Depressive moods on 1.25mg was whack. Reduced to 1.0mg or less was a godsend regarding the depressive moods.
  9. Try to chill and not obessess about things. At 3 months you are no different to 80-90% of most HTs. Wait for 6 months and see how things are, until then try to relax your anxieties.
  10. 8 months since HT. Since last update, there has been growth in hairline and front part of scalp from where it had previously shed. Coverage is good, it holds up quite well in direct sunlight now. Still keep my head covered with a cap on sunny days in case of sunburn or UV damage.
  11. Toppik is like black chalk powder. It only sits on your scalp make your head look dirty and its just horrible stuff to use. Hairmax has actual fibres that bond to your hair. Give it a try.
  12. Progressing well. I threw out toppik, its awful stuff. You should try hairmax concealer instead.
  13. Yes you may be the only person to think that as no ht surgeon or rep is foolish enough to post fake photos here. Btw both photos show a small dent in the forehead, frown line be the eyebrows and the eyebrow points. Great exampl of dense packing.
  14. At this stage scar stretching will occur only if the head gets bigger from all the continued compliments. Looking very good early, all the best.
  15. Mikeey, I'll suggest you stay at Hotel Athidi Grand. Thats where I stayed. Its modern and clean and staff are friendly. Breakfast is included. You can walk to the clinic if you want its 1.5km away but just go by tuktuk cost $1usd. Down Ramatalkies Road there is some shopping. Good quality clothing department stores. You being a nw2, you are going to have a smashing result. I was a nw4/5 and my results have been beyond expectation considering I just had 3200 odd grafts. Try to stick with taking Fin and minox. At the very least take 1mg fin every second day and 0.5ml 5% minox once a day is fine to slow down future hairloss. With a lower dose like this you are unlikely to get sides. A general comment: Dr. Radha doesn't employ reps so communication with her via email is a poor experience. This could be a deal breaker for many people who are shopping around or seeking immediate Q&A. My only advice to this is to call the clinic or try skype/whatsapp.
  16. wet/damp hair always look thinner than dry. Before growth I shed a lot of hairs and get pimples. 1st shed was mid scalp and left side. 2nd shedding has occured in the hairline and right side. I'm certain I'll have a 3rd and 4th shed before things stabilize. There's nothing for me to worried about. I just thought to share this sort of real world information so others like yourself can understand what happens after HT and not freak out when it happens to them.
  17. thanks Garageland for your comments. It's 10 months since my HT and for the last 3 months I haven't thought much about my hair and seldom logged onto the forum due to work commitments and the end of year Christmas holiday. The biggest difference that occurred in the 6-10 month period is the shedding. The graft hairs initially grew thick, curly, wiry and coarse. At the 6 month these hairs started to shed. 30-50 hairs were shed with each wash and I was starting to get pimple again. This was very similar to what occurred at 2-3 months with the initial shedding stage. Right now I'm experiencing shedding in the hairline but I can also start to see regrowth doubles behind the hairline that had shed about 4-6 weeks ago. I'd expect the hairline to regrow in the next 4-6 weeks. Overall, there is a slight improvement in density from 6 months. But the largest improvement that cannot be seen in photos is that the regrowth is much smoother and straighter. damp hair after shower
  18. You should have fantsstic result being a nw3/4. Radha's works is as always clean and your case is no exception. Goodluck. You should see growth a 3-4months.
  19. The hairline does not look too high. What it is is that the density looks unnatural for a receding hairline-look. A softer feathered high hairline wouldve been best practice.
  20. Thanks cryoutloud for your comments. It's certainly a much better outcome than I would've expected. I should be good for at least 5 years + without wanting/needing a 2nd procedure if finasteride continues to work. baldboy7 check your inbox, I cannot name the site as I think that will be against this forum's policy. KO, My hair caibre helps a lot, it's as thick at ultrafine 2-3lb braid fishing line, I'm estimating 0.08 - 0.10 mm in diameter. Thick hair has better coverage compared to fine or medium-fine, Dr. Wu from Taiwan alluded to this in one of his posts. My HT with 3200-odd grafts with 5400-odd hairs isn't much, but when it's thick hair it will probably be equivalent to 4000-odd grafts with 9000-odd fine/medium-fine hairs
  21. all the best for your HT with Dr.Radha, keep a good accurate thread/blog, I'll be keen to follow your progress.
  22. this topic has escalated into something stupid, can't make sense what people are arguing about really.. moving on. Transhair, I looked at your 6 months and your recipient area is still pink. This indicates to me that you have not completely healed in that area yet. My recipient area was back to normal at 4.5 months. With this in mind, expect significant growth only when the pinkness goes away completely. Also in term of graft density, I don't think you'd have much more than 50/60 grafts per cm2 as I don't think Radha does high density packing as this runs the risk of graft necrosis. You're HT growth so far looks good, just be patient at wait it out til 12 months.
