  1. Yes, I agree, it's confusing why different doctors recommend different numbers. I can tell you from my first FUT surgery in the UK that all the surgeons I considered recommended 3000 grafts, I think because that was the most they could do in one day as it was a lengthy procedure and also that was about the number possible from one strip from the back of the head without leaving a scar from ear to ear! So the strip was thin enough to heal without leaving too thick a scar. On the day my surgeon managed to get just over 3300 grafts from my strip, which is about 5 inches long by the way and only visible if I shave or cut my hair on a low setting. If you'd like any more info about my own FUT experience I'd be glad to tell you more... Good luck with the rest of your search in the meantime...
  2. Yeah, I'm not sure why most posts on here don't mention price... It's the first thing I'd want to share and know about as well as success of treatment and service...
  3. I had a quick reply from her yesterday to say she would be in touch soon, so her being away for training makes sense..
  4. Yes, I've already emailed them about the cost. I expect their costs are fixed, but if sharing how much it costs is something you'd prefer not to share, then ok, though like me I think most people on these forums would be also interested in what the costs are too. Thanks for your reply.
  5. Thanks for your replies.... I'm OK with the FUT procedure as i was happy with it for my first treatment and FUE is more expensive and out of my price range. If i could save for the future and choose a different option i wouldn't be posting this message now; this is my situation and price range; up to $1.5/graft and so probably looking at India, Malaysia or similar. I'd found Dr Radha who's got plenty of recommendations and seemed perfect but she seems to be off the map right now so 1. she's no longer an option and 2. finding good quality in my price range is plausible. Thanks for the tip on Eugenix and that post. I've contacted Eugenix for some information and replied to that post to ask some questions too. Thanks for the interactive map tool tip too, i found a Dr. Soni through it in Delhi so researching him now too...
  6. Hi, congrats on your surgery, it does look good... I'm interested to know what the cost per graft was at Eugenix?
  7. Hi I posted a few weeks ago to ask about recommendations for an FUT doctor in either India, Malaysia or elsewhere in Asia. I'd already found Dr Radha in India, but communications broke down a few months ago due to Dr Radha's own personal circumstances and i tried contacting her again a few days ago but an auto reply says she's uncontactable until August so it looks like those problems are still there and i'm back to square one. I understand in India the cost should be $1/graft and in Malaysia can be $1.5/graft, and these prices are my limits. I live in Vietnam so i'm looking for somewhere easy to travel to from there. Some people previously recommended Thai doctors but the prices are too high for me there. Thanks in advance for any recomendations
  8. Hi Everyone I'm 38 years old, from the UK, but currently living in Vietnam. I had my first and only FUT treatment approx 6 years ago in the UK at Transform in Manchester. I had approx 2500 grafts as I was quite thin on top and around the crown. The treatment worked well and got me to a stage i was happy with. The doctor told me that the remainder of my hair would fall out at some point and i would need a 2nd treatment. Well, i think that time has come! I'd researched in to my 2nd treatment and found Dr Radhi in India, but for some personal reasons of Dr Radhi's, she failed to continue communication so i am back to square one looking for the right place and doctor. So i'm looking for recommendations and any advice on my 2nd treatment. The easiest place for me to travel to would be Malaysia, and on research it seems i'd be looking at about $1.5/graft. It seems India is still cheaper (about $1/graft) and equally good quality. I know from previous searches people have replied to others about not going for the cheapest option etc, but money is an issue and these prices per graft are all i can afford and from already researching Dr Radhi, i was confident of receiving the same if not better quality than i did from Transform in the UK. So if anyone can give any advice on places and doctors in or around Asia, any personal experiences especially, i would appreciate it. I have attached a few photo's of my current hair situation. Thanks in advance...
  9. Hi All I'm currently considering having a 2nd FUT HT and would like some advice on where to go. I had my first HT about 4 years ago in Manchester, UK near where i'm from. I had the surgery at Transform by Dr Bhatty. i had about 3300 grafts and was reasonably pleased with the results though knew at some point i might need a 2nd op. I wasn't happy with their after care, it really felt like all the nice smiley faces disappeared post op! I recently went through a stressful period and lost about half my hair on top. I know that since this troubled time ended this hair should grow back but its left me looking thinner than ever on top and since i had FUT and have a scar, i can't even shave my head so i'm stuck with this look now and it's just highlighted that i want to get the 2nd HT done anyway. I had researched India and found Dr Radha in India who i'd planned to visit for a consultation on a trip to India recently but i couldn't make it. So now i'm in a position where i could still choose her or from that area, anywhere back to the UK would be ideal and i'd heard that some European countries were better than the UK for FUT such as Belgium. A relative also told me of an offer in the UK at hairtransplantclinics by Dr Rogers costing 2899 gbp for 3000 grafts but i couldn't find any reviews for this doctor and when i emailed the company they said they'd only answer my questions if i paid for a treatment!? So i'd really appreciate some advice on where to go and who to see for my second HT. I know there will be people questioning cost and one reason i chose India was the cost being $1/graft and my budget is around $3000 and i'd like as many grafts as possible of course. But i'm open to ideas or suggestions. If there's any info i've left out of the post that anyone needs, also just let me know and i'll post a reply with the info needed.
