  1. Is MT2 the tanning injection? I don't know, think that would be too extreme for me. I did grow out my bangs, but the temple work I'm doing will go down to the sideburns so I a large chunk cannot be covered. I'm hoping I can cover the exposed redness with liquid Dermablend but I get this feeling the redness will still bleed through.
  2. Going to be getting hairline work done in a few days and wondering if anyone has had success concealing redness at the temple points post op. I plan to have the temple points modified a lot, probably something like 800 grafts. So I figure the redness there will stand out like a sore thumb, and there's no hair long enough nearby to really cover it. I tanned the area beforehand, but that will only help so much. I've stocked up on dermablend concealers and foundation and plan to give my best shot with that 2 weeks post surgery, but not really sure how that's going to turn out. I bought some of the green colored anti-red dermablend too. Anyone have success concealing temple point work? Any tips or heads up appreciated too
  3. The new grafts have long since been secured in the recipient area, so the risk of ripping them out and permanently damaging them is probably about the same as any other hair. You can still do damage, just not likely IMO. However the scratching can't be good for the skin in the recipient area that is still recovering. The boxing gloves sound like a good idea if you can't control it.
  4. I believe your best bet for recipient redness is to stay out of the sun and religiously use Aloe Vera and Distilled Witch Hazel. The redness will eventually fade regardless, but sun exposure can greatly prolong the healing process.
  5. Fin and Min shouldn't have a meaningful impact on the hair that was actuallly transplanted. And for 3000 grafts at the hairline, I would have imagined the entire hairline to be filled in. So I do not think Fin or Min would have impacted your hairline much. If you had a pic of your immediate post op showing the graft placement that would shed some light on things. Based on your preop and 1 year result pic I would have guessed you had 1000 grafts max at the hairline. So I think there was an issue with yield.
  6. This looks pretty good already at 7 months. When I first looked at the pictures I didn't notice the entire areas directly above the temple points were filled in. Not bad for 1300 grafts.
  7. I'm happy that you are satisfied with the results. But to be honest the pictures don't really seem to show a 3000 graft transformation of the hairline. In the 1 year post pic the density of the hairline around the temple corners looks on the low side. For 3000 grafts this doesn't look right. Are you planning on going back to Chao for the 2nd procudure? If so you might want to look at other options because you may have had a low yield result.
  8. Stitch and FUE don't belong in the same sentence. He obviously did FUT, and then something else on top of that (the other scars)... God knows what, but it wasn't FUE. This doctor is at best entirely incompetent.
  9. Are those other lines actually scars or just trails of blood? They seem to be gone in one of your photos. Your pictures are chilling to look at, the fact that a "doctor" out there would perform such shoddy work... The doctor who did this must have been aware that his work is crap in comparison to others. I think knowingly performing shitty work violates some type of doctor's code. Whoever did this is not a doctor IMO. This is basically a scam. And if those other lines are indeed scars, then I think this should fall under criminal activity. Try not to freak out you should be able to get this fixed and done right by a reputable doctor.
  10. For a conservative approach I think this turned out very well. The lower density blends in with the rest of the hair on top of his head giving a natural look. Doesn't appear like he had any type of HT.
  11. Wow, so I agree it would seem most if not all the difference in the pictures is from the HT. Very impressive result.
  12. Very impressive but I wonder how much Propecia aided in his hair restoration. How long had he been on it at the time of the preop pics? Considering he was only 20 and had recently lost massive amounts of hair, it's possible propecia helped him susbstantially.
  13. The pictures look to be taken by the clinic, it would have been nice if the pictures were more comparable. As Mickey said his post op hairstyle is basically combing over the result, so it's hard to tell. Picture 4 of 6 shows a result and some improvement but is overall weak IMO, most of the transplanted area is combed over and of what little I can see the density seems pretty low. Picture 6 of 6 doesn't look impressive at all, looks about the same as preop except hair is combed over. Were hairs actually transplanted on the left side? We only see a line drawn on the right side.
  14. Yeah, basically NW6 to NW2 with just 6400 grafts under FUE. It's a bit mind boggling how Lorenzo manages to get such great coverage with his grafts. I bet most doctors would have only got around half the coverage.
  15. The best doctor in socal? I think you need to go to... somebodyelse *puts on shades* Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah ... Yeah sorry, I just posted to say that. I have no idea who is the best in socal because no one there was good enough for me to research. You might just want to save up for Europe.
  16. Thanks for following up, I look forward to seeing your progress. I think you have a bit of redness but it is covered up by the grafts that have not yet shed. Once they shed I think you'll see more redness. I will be getting temple work done as well, I think that will be the hardest part to conceal/hide.
  17. Skip to 3:00 minutes in the video below. They comb through his short hair, then shave it off. At this point he has had 8,000 grafts pulled from FUE. I cannot see or detect the "lower density" and "scarring". That's like a grade 1. In FUE, if density isn't visibly lower after 2000-3000 grafts are pulled how does it make sense 5000+ grafts would be different? The density is the same, it's just a larger area. 18. Thanks for the clarification, but I'm still confused. The 71cm area is the entire red area post op, right? If so, why would 48.3 grafts/cm be transplanted not just in areas far back from the hairline itself but also in areas where he had a lot of existing hair? I thought 50 grafts/cm at the hairline itself was considered high.
  19. Don't worry I did But I was just trying to make the point it's not any more necessary for a NW7 to get a HT than a NW1. People also shouldn't give a guy shit for getting a HT just because his hair was already pretty good to start with. That's like calling someone out for getting braces, on the basis their teeth were not that bad off to begin with.
  20. I think it's much easier to control harvesting in FUE than the scar from FUT. To prevent FUE over harvesting, you basically just go to a high end, reputable FUE doctor. Such a doctor is not going to extract hairs unless you have the donor available. If you're out of FUE donor hair, you still have the option of going for body hair or FUT. And I'm not convinced once FUE donor is exhausted that FUT is really any worse of a choice. Having ~25% less hair along the edges of the strip area shouldn't make the scar much more apparent. I say this because as long as the hair is long enough to sufficiently go over the gap of the FUT scar and blend in with the hair on the other side, it's hidden. So even if there's 25% less hair there along the scar, it is still going to be covered because the length is there. Right? On the other hand, you have much less control on how well your FUT scar will turn out. No FUT doctor can gaurantee a great scar... and if it does turn out great, you still need to hide it. And then of course, what if it doesn't? If your body likes to produce extra collagen or your skin laxity is poor, it will not turn out pretty.
  21. . To comment on this one part, I don't believe there is a noticeable density difference in the donor area after FUE from a reputable doctor. From the pictures and videos I've seen, in the final result I don't see any indication hairs are extracted. But it is ironic you list an advantage of FUT as being able to take 4000+ grafts without any noticeable density difference, when you actually get a big scar which is typically very noticeable unless you hide it with long hair.
