  1. Guys, which propecia (finasteride) should i go with? Is generic finasteride well advised? Thanks
  2. Hello my friends, sorry for the delay. I wanna thank you all guys for the support and for giving your advices. I will not put apart the idea of having an HT, but i will first try to face the problem as it is and try to turn it into something not that bad. I will care more for my health and for the life i was not living. I gotta try, because there's people in much worse situations out there and they do it, so i will not back down. im going to try finasteride as i said before and i will see if it works safely, even if i need to alter the doses as David suggested. Maybe if i go on finasteride and i can control the hair loss, perhaps even lorenzo agrees to make me an HT later . Stinger, yes, as for lowering the hairline, that would be wasting grafts on our nw scale, id rather put on some grafts to cover the area where i still have hair for sure. Also, something i havent mentioned, i got my hair buzzed before i took the pictures on that day, i had long hair, combing to the front, it was so fucking dramatic and tormenting, because of the wind etc etc etc. I cant even explain the pain. So i got sick of it and went to a barber, and i feel better now, even tho im still afraid of the people who saw me before seeing me as i am now :\ But im sure ill get over it.. Maybe if i go on finasteride and i can control the hair loss, perhaps even lorenzo agrees to make me an HT later Oh, and as for hair systems i think thats not an option for me honestly, it would be hiding it, and that is something i dont want to go through again. :\ Cheers all
  3. Hello cool525, i appreciate the touching words, made me feel better. And also for resuming the main aspects. You were right by saying that im willing to take a risk on a HT and not on the finasteride, that got me thinking... the truth is really that any of both options are not guaranteed success, and the stakes are high, tthats why i wanted to pick a doc that had a great success rate, ofc theres always risks, but theres not much i can do. Also, I will give a try on finasteride and stop if i have sides As for the donor area, i know its limited, but if i want to use it, i want it to be while im still young.. If i had a HT now and started using fin, would it be a good solution? Im not sure if i am depressed like i was, its just that i think im too young to have to face this problem, its not fair, and i cant deal with it. If i was older im almost sure i wouldnt be feeling like this and i wouldnt care this much... Thanks again cool525. Cheers
  4. Thanks Future_HT_Doc. I'm really suffering mentally from this and it has to be a solution. Do you think i should give finasteride a try again? Or it wouldn't be worth it? If i have side effects they stop after i stop taking it right?
  5. Hello everyone, i am here to ask you all guys your opinion about what i should do. Im 24yo, from Portugal, i started losing hair early, and it's truly keeping me from living my life, to the point that i don't even go out anymore, but i will not bother you with the dramatic stuff... For years i've been following this forum, and trying to make up my mind about the best doctor to go on a HT with, and still haven't made a choice. Because i only have one chance to go on a HT, since my family is not rich and its a big investment. This said, i was most inclined to go have my HT in Turkey with Dr Koray Erdogan or Hakan Doganay, but there's much inconclusive results here, and patients that disappear on their result posts, even people that told me that they weren't happy with they HT performed by these docs. Then, there's one doctor that i think have the best results which is DrLorenzo, but if i did a HT with him i would have to go with much less grafts because i wouldn't have the money for it. But i did an online consultation with Lorenzo and they replied that i wasn't a candidate because my HL was too advanced for my age, and because i was not taking finasteride. Im only on minoxidil, for 5 years now, i stopped taking FIN a few years ago because i had a minor depression, and i had Erectile Dysfunction, not sure if it was because one or another, but i was scared and quit the FIN. Also i'm still on meds, its a very small dosage but im also afraid finasteride could interfere with it. So, i don't know what to do honestly, my life is depending on this, thats the sad truth. I hope anyone can help me and give me they're honest opinion on what i should do or tell me some other good doctors. I post here some pics of my hair, i wanted to add density the top and cover the temples and hairline. I was advised in something around 2000/3000 grafts. I thank you all in advance cheers PS: Is there any new treatment or future treatment that is relevant or promising?
  6. Hello folks, im using Minoxidil for a few years now, but it didn't completely stopped my hair loss. So i been looking for another way to fight it and maybe improve the thickness of my hair, that would be awesome to say at least. So i've been reading about this topical treatment called RU, and also found that people can take topical fin. I primarily wanted a topical treatment, because of the side effects of fin. I suffered from a decrease in libido due to some other pills i took and im afraid of having it again. So about RU and topical fin, the thing that got me confused is that there's always so many guys out there whose opinions diverge a lot, and that really leaves me knowing the same as i knew before. Like, who should i trust after all ? So i started this topic in the attempt of getting enlightened about my doubts on this. So my questions are: 1) if any of both treatments work. 2) Side effects for them? 3) I've heard that most RU that is sold is fake, and its almost impossible to find the real stuff. is this right? 4) About Topical Fin, i've seen that many people do take it differently, is there any proven method that works? perhaps mixing it with minox? if so, what dosages? 5)Same thing about RU, how to mix it with minox. 6) If its all good news, where can i buy it from? Im sorry for bringing up this subject that most of you guys have talked about so many times before, i did tried getting some info, but im confused and i needed a final opinion about it. And maybe there are other people wanting to know the same thing, so since we're all in the same boat, i hope someone can help me. Thanks everyone. Cheers
  7. Is there any specific products with those vitamins and minerals that is good, that people here use?? I think overall my scalp is good, but my hair tends to be oily. And sometimes, rarely, it gets a little sensitive or red, and other times it flakes a little.
  8. That is good news, i will talk to him about that! besides that, and minoxidil that i take, is there any other thing i can take? like vitamins? Or something that could thicken my hair..
  9. i told about fin to my doctor today ( Internal medicine doctor ) and he told me, that the fin in conjunction with the meds i already take wouldn't do any harm, BUT. it was dangerous to take finasteride because i could very probably develop prostate cancer later.
  10. Thanks Sean, thats a big help in realizing that this is a big step, and i must not precipitate. I'm not rich and this is a BIG investment and for me i think it would be some kind of life changing because each day i cant stand it even more. Also, i've sent my pics and filled a form to INJERTOCAPILAR.COM and the answer wasnt very encouraging: With 24 years old and without finasteride is not indicated to do a procedure. If somebody are agree to do a procedure in that condition, take care. Please research, go to the forum and see how we treat alopecia. If with 24 you are a NW III, means that in 10 years you will have an advance alopecia. Not candidato, please start medication. Regards, Well, to this i must say that i only do minoxidil, that ive done finasteride for a few months in the passed, but i quit it, i was afraid of the side effects everyone talked about. And also i had been medicated with anti depressives, which i was afraid the mix of finasteride and antidepressants could not combine well together. So now i dunno what to do, should i start taking finasteride?
  11. Thanks for all the replies. Carl-UK, im glad u satisfied, for what ive seen from Dr Lorenzo its guaranteed satisfaction, ill be waiting for the post up's. chrisdav, yes i was a bit skeptical about that doctor at first but i've been looking at some results and they are amazing, Dr Koray Erdogan is also now in my options to go with. As for me, im getting more confused as i seek for the best choice. If i went with dr Lorenzo would it be better to have the procedure made in Farjo clinic or in Madrid since im from Portugal? In Turkey im also pondering about Dr Koray Erdogan instead of Hakan Doganay. Do you guys think Dr Lorenzo is worth the price difference ? If not, which one from the both in turkey should i go with ? Feel free to make any questions also, because i know im being quite vague about my case. Thanks again for the help given. Cheers
  12. Hello everyone. I'm from portugal and im considering the option to have a HT. So i wanted to ask you if you could suggest me a good doctor that had the best results/price relation. Im on my early 20s and i have a receding hairline, im on a norwood 3. I thought about opting for FUE and i have sent some photos to some HT clinics online consultations and i was told by the most i needed somewhat around 2000fus to have a good density on the hairline. I've been following some doctors work for the past times and im most inclined to two of them which are Dr Hakan Doganay and Farjo clinic's Dr. Lorenzo. But im not sure which one i should go with since its a big investment for me and im new to this subject, so i thought it was a good idea to ask you guys if you could help me. I hope you can help me and thanks in advance.
