  1. He's certainly not a "Sit back and watch this Home Alone 4 Bluray while I do this" kind of guy! Looks great so far.
  2. It has an ingredients list very similar to Wellman Tricologic with a few herbs thrown in for good measure. Even the recommended dose is the same (3 tablets per day).
  3. I would not agree that ED is very common, but anyway here is the FDA advice on changes to the labelling: Questions and Answers: Finasteride Label Changes
  4. Agreed. I think it looks thin due to the density but there's every chance it will improve.
  5. Just took a tape measure to my own head. Maybe not 15x15, but could easily be IRO13x14.
  6. Just a guesstimate on the grafts but I think you would need close to that number for a meaingful result. It's best that you do some research on finasteride. There are some potential side effects like ED, but in general only 2% of people get them . Some people on here will scare you off using it. Have a read of some of the links at the top of the page or google 'propecia before and after'. If the meds don't work for you you may have to think about delaying a HT or having a more conservative procedure and saving money to have another procedure later on.
  7. Hard to tell but it looks like you had all the grafts placed over the front half of your head. That amount of area must be at least 15 x 15 = 225 sq cm giving an average density of about 17 grafts / sq cm. Presuming it was planted denser at the front, the middle could be as low as 10 grafts /cm sq. So if your density was not great it is never going to be a thick looking result. Do you have anymore info like your graft break down?
  8. All 3 are Coalition members so they are all at the top end of the scale. Just looking at your pictures. You may be able to regrow a substantial amount of hair by taking Finasteride and using Rogaine Foam. Any of the 3 doctors can write you a Finasteride prescription but remember that you will need to wait 9-12 months to start seeing the results. At the very least they should rapidly slow down the rate of hair loss. If you have a transplant at the front you obviously don't want the hair in the middle and back to disappear rapidly in 5-10 years. You will look silly or have to get another transplant. If you kept your hairline where it is and added density I think $10-12,000 is the ballpark figure (2,000-2,500 grafts). But my advice is to get on the medications for at least 9 months and during that time visit the doctors and keep researching.
  9. Cheers for sharing and good luck. 2000 FUT will be a walk in the park for Rahal! Interesting that you are going for FUT. Did Bisanga think you were a good FUE candidate?
  10. I'm travelling 4000 miles to see Dr Konior. He does the most natural looking hairlines in my opinion - there are some tremendous examples he has posted on here. If I lived in Illinois I would go to see Konior, Keller and Panine.
  11. At Bosley it is generally all about the money. They will do 3 or 4 sessions in a day. How would you like to be patient number 4? Will all the staff be switched on?
  12. It was a bit odd that you said this: "My surgery is this month, which I’m looking forward to! I’m expecting to have a sore head for a few days and to wear a hat, but I’ll be going back to work the second day after my FUE treatment of 2500 grafts by Dr Emorane Lupanzula." When clearly your surgery was at least a year ago! No offence if you are geniune but it looked like a cut and paste job which is often a tell tale sign that a clinic has come onto here pretending to be a patient.
  13. Afraid of flying? 1)I'd probably say Dr Reed based the many results posted on here. Top notch and very ethical. 2)Depends on your goals. I think you are more than a NW2 (as suggested on your profile). I suspect you may need over 3000 grafts. FUE would be better if you intend to wear your hair short. You may not need to shave your head for FUT. If I was havng FUE I'd probably go elsewhere, i.e. Belgium and see Dr Feriduni - there is a guy at the top of his game! 3)I'm not bowled over by ARTAS yet but will reserve judgement until there is a pool of consistent results. Oh, and you should get on finasteride to preserve your existing hair.
  14. Is that you Henry? http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4791496546715794&pid=15.1
  15. I also have a 100% success rate when they name the Dr in their profile page:D
  16. Mate, why the big rush to book a Hair Transplant? Take your time. Most people research for at least 6 months. Many for a lot longer. Just keep reading other threads and websites, looking at before/after photos, seeing what is possible etc.
  17. Check with a Dr but this 47 year old didnt do badly: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168490-dr-parsley-results-1-4-tab-propecia-0-25mg-daily.html
  18. I saw Clayton Blackmore being interviewed tonight on the news. The Farjo's did his hair and it looked great.
  19. Couldn't agree more. This is about as good as someone can look 2 weeks out.
  20. I had a look. You're 26/27 years old. Your hairloss is quite agressive. If you can sucessfully take finasteride for a year you could do a conservative HT of 2000-2500 grafts. Something like this guy: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170419-%2A%2Aupdate%2A%2Adr-ron-shapiro-%96-fue-1-yr-result-1831gr-3896-hairs.html Basically keep the hairline shape you have but add density.
  21. The flip side is that if you don't do it you will wonder 'what if' for the next 10 years. That's the way I look at it.
  22. I've replied to your PM. I don't think you want to go in worrying about costs. Lowering the widows peak only should be 500-600 grafts but to account for other factors like needing 50 or 60 sq cm it would be better to budget for 1000 grafts. The last thing you want is for the doc to say "You need 900. I can do 600 but it might not be dense enough". If you can afford a 1000 you can just ask the doctor to do the appropriate number, whether that is 500, 650 or 800 and a)not worr about being able to pay, and b)that it wont look right.
  23. I think even the finest surgeon in the world will have difficulty estimating to the nearest 100 grafts. There are so many variables involved. 50/60 grafts per sq cm would be great but on the other hand may not be completely necessary if you have a lot of 2 and 3 hair follicles (which of course would be placed behind the single hair grafts.) This is why I commend Dr Feller's pricing structure. He charges according to graft ranges rather than precise numbers. 1cm lowering seems such a minor change I'd be inclined to budget for at least 1000 grafts. By doing that you could opt to take the hairline a bit lower during the pre-op discussion. It also gives a bit more scope to fill in the temples.
