  1. 'Run far away from Epstein'...and Larry Shapiro!
  2. If you can just use the foam version 10 minutes before you go to bed. That's what I do. I just slap the stuff on once a day (rather than the recommended twice). It is working for me.
  3. Rob Brydon (UK TV Actor/Comedian/Impressionist)
  4. Shaun Williamson (UK TV Actor). Farjo did his.
  5. Don't get me wrong, it's a good result but you can easily tell it is a transplant because it is so dense compared to his sides which have receeded back a fair bit. This picture doesn't really show it but when you see him on camera...
  6. Liam Neeson A good result but quite detectable
  7. Oliver Stone. On a school report I'd put 'could do better'.
  8. Your expectations seem reasonable. Propecia could help your general thinning in the mid scalp. I'd look into the recommended surgeons in the link near the top right of this page. There is another guy who is not part of this network, but posts some good results on his website and videos on Youtube. He's Dr John Diep based in San Jose CA. I reckon he's worth a consult.
  9. I read (on Dr bernstein's website possibly) that the half life of finasteride is about 6-8 hours but the effect it has lasts for 30 days. Smaller doses won't block as much DHT. Spex posted a chart showing 80% DHT blocking affect with 1mg+ daily doses. 0.5mg was about 70%, 0.25mg 60%...
  10. Good question. Choosing a doc recommended on here kind of makes some questions a bit pointless. How about: - What will be your involvement in the procedure? - Which technicians will be doing my work? How much experience have they got? - Can you give me at least 3 telephone numbers of former patients I can contact? - How often do you perform FUE, FUT? - How do you minimise scarring? - What FUE extraction tool do you use, and why?
  11. They are all of good pedigree. Wait until you have been to see all 3 before making a decision
  12. Best of luck. How many grafts are you aiming for?
  13. Good write up. I'm 90% sure I'd go with Dr K should I proceed with a HT. Personally I'd never put a deposit down before seeing the Doc and it is great to see he follows this approach.
  14. Agree with Spanker but if you're sure a shaved head is not for you you could get a nice result provided the hairline isnt placed too low. With some fibres in the crown it could give a complete look. Good luck with it.
  15. I just watched him on C4 in the UK. I really can't see what he had done except beef up the temples a little, perhaps.
  16. 1. How long have you been on Finasteride? Since 01 April 2012 2. Have you experiencing side effects? If yes, what are the side effects? A dull headache / spaced out feeling after the first 5 days on 1mg per day. Possibly some loss of libido, but who wouldnt with a headache! 3. Did you quite the drug once the side effects came up? No. Reduced the dose to 0.5mg every other day, then 0.25mg. 4. Did the side effects go away after you quite? There is still a slight sensation of being 'spaced out' but this is subsiding everytime I take the drug. I take it in the evening so it wears off overnight. 5. What is your overall feedback on this drug? It dramatically stopped the rate at which my hair sheds. I'm on Regaine and have noticed some good results and a bit of regrowth.
  17. Thanks. I see they did a trial on about 50 men and claim to have seen some positive results.
  18. Stumbled across TRX2 and wondered if anyone could recommend it? Not the cheapest product I've seen
  19. Be wary with the Harley Street guys. They may have done Rooney but they are definately not the best in the business. You are young so I would try the medications for at least 12 months. The success of these will influence your long term game plane. If they don't work or you get side effects but still continue with a HT the chances are you may need 3 or 4 HTs over the next 10-15 years. Your hairloss looks almost the same pattern as mine was at your age. Unless there is a big risk of you receeding to a NW6+ and you want the option of being able to shave to grade 1 or 2 then I think you would be better off with strip surgery. You'll get more bang for your buck.
  20. Your hair looks pretty good although I'm sure the recession in the temples is quite annoying. I've seen some people get their temples filled in and hairline lower slightly with very nice results. It's a tough call but you will need to weigh up things like family history to determine whether having a HT at 31 is a good idea or not. In your position I'd probably add regaine foam to the daily routine (at night) and give it another 4 years.
  21. Try lowering the dose. the way I see it, if you are getting sides then it probably means the drug is 'working' but the doseage doesnt need to be so high. Try 1/4 every other day or every 3 days. Are you sure your hairloss is not caused by the rogaine shedding phase?
  22. Bisanga is EUR11,000 ($14,000) for 3,000 grafts in 2 days. They won't go over 3,000 for FUE but will do more if it is strip.
  23. Taking Propecia for a short while, say 1 or 2 months is not going to give you permanent ED. That's my opinion. I've seen interviews with some people who claim to have suffered it because of Propecia, and to be quite honest they look quite ill! This makes me think they had some underlying health condition in the first place and are just looking for someone to blame. Your call, but it is worth a try if your hair bothers you that much. Any noticeable sides after a month then just stop.
  24. Not really an answer to your question but I've found the only way to stop ingrown hairs is to shave less and use an electric razor (e.g. Braun). Shaving every 4 or 5 days does me and I use an exfoliating scrub daily in the shower.
