  1. The only place I would check is somewhere like the middle east or malaysia. I know they can have the odd ban on certain drugs. However, I cant see a reason why they would.
  2. That's a pretty decent price. Only a matter of time before someone sticks a dodgy label on a couple of cans of shaving foam!
  3. From what I've read Dr Robert Jones comes with a health warning but you might get a good job. Worth a consult at the very least. I've never heard a bad word about Rahal.
  4. 8 grand sounds about right to me, bearing in mind you will need general anestetic I would have thought, and 1 or 2 nights in hospital, checkups etc. Best to contact a private hospital. The only one I know of personally is The Hampshire Clinic.
  5. The list of attractive bald guys starts and ends with Sean Connery! I thought about shaving my head but I'm too pastey to be able to pull of the look. Funny how these articles always point to multi millionaire bald guys. Hope the HT works for you..
  6. I would echo the comments on here already. Get on Propecia and Regaine Foam as soon as possible (Boots are reasonably priced to get you started and you can use their online facility if you dont fancy a trip to the GP). I'd give that a year. You need to know whether these drugs work before you get a HT otherwise you may end up needing 3 or 4 operations as additional hair is lost behind the transplanted hairs. No Uk clinics are recommended apart from Farjo. However, there are a few great ones in Belgium.
  7. Thanks both. I got that impression. It looks like the kind of place who would also sell you other pills and potions that won't work and cost a bomb.
  8. Any tips on how to apply it when you still have 50% of your hair on top and it is around 1.5 inches long? I've tried using the nozzel to spray small bits of foam in between the hairs and then rub them in. A fair bit ends up in the hair itself though.
  9. I wondered if anyone had any experience of using them?
  10. Oh I see. Maybe you will just have to try it twice a day and set the alarm clock a little earlier!
  11. True (no pun intended!), but for many users the primary goal is to retain their existing hair and not just to get hair back.
  12. It says in the instructions that 3 out 5 experience re-growth, 4 out 5 maintain existing hair. Perhaps you are the latter, but I'd definately give it 6 months. Only you can answer if it has slowed down your loss.
  13. I've seen 10 year old reviews of 'Elliot & True' on a few forums. It seems they split a while ago. Judging from what I've read he doesnt have as good a rep as Dr True so I'd be a bit careful if I were you! The videos on his website were a bit too 'sales' based if you know what I mean. The best Drs don't need that sort of cr*p to get work!
  14. Dr Glenn Charles or Dr Paul Rose seem obvious candidates. Try the search facility at the top right of this website. Just steer clear of Larry Shapiro!
  15. I've only been researching HTs for about 9 months but I wouldn't trust Ronald McDonald's hair on Larry Shapiro, let alone mine!!
  16. Yeah, pretty sure it is as I never get them normally. The first 3 days were fine but they started to come in on days 4-7. I've done a few web searches and it seems others have experienced this too. I will take nothing tomorrow and see if it subsides.
  17. Has anyone had them and found a way around it? I'm on 1mg daily. I'll switch to 0.5mg every other day and see how that goes unless anyone else has better ideas?
  18. Here's my 'before' photo. Jes*s it looks bad! I just had my haircut and this is straight out of the shower (I normally dye my hair light brown and use gel for a messy look). 1 week on Fin and the only possible side effect so far is a slight headache. I might try switching to 1mg every other day to see how that goes.
  19. You could try gold pharma. I've ordered other meds from there and they have been totally legit. However, the last time I looked Fin seemed quite expensive.
  20. I got some Finpecia from "all day chemist" It took about 5 days to arrive by post from India (it is manufactured by the company Cipla which is based in India). I think US citizens may need to present a prescription but if you are outside of the US then this is not required (i.e. purchased at your own risk and your own responsibility to abide by local laws etc).
  21. God didn't give Tom Cruise height but he certainly gave him a damn fine head of hair!
  22. ...not a HT surgeon but a UK celebrity/TV doctor. Apparently he had his HT done by Dr Raghu Reddy of the The Private Clinic, London. Good or bad result? I think he could style it a lot better but overall it looks ok.
  23. I've not taken either but as soon as you cut any film coated tablet it means it is absorbed into the system a lot quicker. That's why I would always favour individual 1mg tablets where possible because these give you a steady dose throughout the day. That's my theory anyway!
  24. I think it is a good idea to sign up via Boots. They take the trouble of notifying your GP and everything is legitimate. If things are working out after 3 or 4 months then you can shop around!
