  1. Based on what I have seen (and I'm not a doc and never had a HT), it looks about right based on the number of grafts. I think it looks pretty good so far. It can take up to 18 months to see the full result.
  2. Still ukfinasteride.info as far as I know
  3. Good call. I nearly posted on here a few days ago to suggest it!
  4. Don't discount your other option which is.....No HT! NW2 isn't so bad and if you can live with it then use meds/rogaine and wait until your mid 30s.
  5. Look's f'in great. The business. Look at the skill and care that has gone into placing those grafts. If I go for a HT I'm 99% sure it would be with Dr K
  6. You will be hard pushed to find it cheaper than 40GBP unless you opt for the Kirkland Generic Foam. The latter will be 5-10GBP cheaper for 3 tins (ebay).
  7. I think it is possible but for the vast majority it won't happen until they are well into their old age, eg late 70s/80s. At that point I'm sure you will be past caring! I don't see too many men of that age with great donor density.
  8. I've seen a video of one of these somewhere. I think it just pics the grafts and makes the FUE incisions (in a random pattern). It's up to the doc to then extract them with tweezers. The whole process then continues as a normal FUE transplant.
  9. You could FUE them out but may end up with dot scars at the front of your head. Replanting them may not yield a good result because of the double trauma of the grafts being removed and inserted twice. Obviously you could use a laser to get rid of them altogether. Preferred option is to implant new grafts around them.
  10. I have had some regrowth since starting in April this year. The hair is a bit whispy at the moment but getting better as the months go by. There's no way of knowing how good a reaction you will get without giving it a go and using the stuff day in day out for 3-4 months.
  11. Shockingly bad, and unrefined, work from Larry Shapiro. It seems that his clinic is just a conveyor belt for unsuspecting clients. What sort of doctor gives you 3 HTs in the 3 years and still can't deliver a natural hairline?!
  12. Sorry to hear that. There was a guy on here a couple of months ago posting youtube videos about his hair loss issues. I think his name was Bobby and he was keen on Dr Markou. I really hope the guy didn't go with the laser scam.
  13. Definately give Rogaine Foam a try and use it regimentally for at least 3 months. I think you need a hair restoration doc to examine where you're losing hair. If it is all over the top than you may prefer not to get a HT. If it's limited to the front then a small aestically pleasing proceedure may sort you out for many years. BTW - it doesn't look too bad for a 40 year old! I wish my hairline was at least as good as yours!
  14. Not come across this before but on the flip side, lack of hair is quite ageing too!!
  15. Sounds like a scalp reduction operation what you're looking for. You would be far better off with a follicular unit based approach. 2 doctors I'm aware used to do scalp reductions/flap surgeries in the old days are Epstein and Konior.
  16. If limited to the US/Canada I would go: Konior for FUT Rahal for FUE
  17. I think Farjo prefer FUT and basically charge themselves out of the market when it comes to FUE (GBP7 a graft!). If you really want FUE then take the Eurostar to Brussels and visit Bisanga and Feriduni. They are two of the very best.
  18. I used to think like that too. Now I'm 33.5 and on this site...!
  19. There's a couple of guys on here who've had good results with him. He is a husband and wife team now and is limited to around 1500 grafts a day. See his youtube videos.
  20. There are no hair follicles on the tips of your fingers so don't worry, you won't turn into a werewolf!
  21. A similar thing happened to me when I was in my late teens. I lost a lot on the temples but kept a great density on top until I hit about 25/26. Look at the hair you shed. Are the hair strands different thicknesses? This is a classic sign that some follicles are shrinking and producing finer and finer hair which will dwindle away to minute, practically invisible fluff that no longer grows. If you can get on Regaine foam (or a cheap generic version), then that might be a good idea. If you can't afford it then I don't think it is the end of the world if you wait 2 or 3 years.
  22. Foam at night only - I lay it on thick! Just switched to the Kirland Generic Foam which I find is a little more watery than Regaine. I use Alpecin Caffine shampoo daily and Nizoral once every 5 days.
  23. i put a lot on in small sprays then massage in. It dries in under 5 minutes. Best thing would be to buy a tin and try it out.
  24. Foam all over the top of the head. I think I may have had a small shed after about a month. I tried Finpecia for 2 months but had to give up because of the sides.
