  1. Both a waste of money. Save yours. The only 4 things I know to really work are: 1. Finasteride 2. Minoxidil 3. Avodart 4. HT (if donor is good)
  2. Nanogen is good. Luckily the cost is not really an issue for me. However, it would be nice if was a bit cheaper. I buy the medium brown which matches Just for Men light brown extremely well. If I'm careful I can beef up the hairline in a way the fibres are unnoticeable except up close. I use the fibres mostly in the frontal 3rd. The locking spray is a must. I think I'm getting through about 30g of the stuff per month. Probably GBP1 a day. It's a bummer going to the gym but I now go late after work and go home without bothering to reapply. Trying to apply it after a workout during the day was a real nightmare!
  3. Who were the surgeons? Could be worth getting a few Drs opinions on anything that could be done
  4. In many ways I envy people with Crown loss. It seems to me more managable to hide but on the flip side it is not so easily treated surgically, i.e. the "black hole" of hair restoration. However, medication is generally more effective. I sometimes wonder if a crown loser would feel any more worse if it were their hairline and not the crown.
  5. Maybe it's due to the language barrier, who knows.. Dr Lorenzo would seem an obvious candidate who is barely (if at all) showcased on here. Maybe the majority of his patients are from spain.
  6. If I'm honest I think the hairline is a little too low. Have you tried growing your hair long? It may look better that way
  7. Helps maintain what I have. Not sure if you are new to this but you should check out Propecia (Finasteride), Rogaine (Minoxidil) and Nizoral (ketoconazole). Finasteride and Minoxidil are FDA approved to treat hairloss and are effective for about 60-80% of men. Do a lot of research on here, particulalry in the case of Propecia as there can be a small risk of side effects. I buy my regimen off ebay.
  8. Avoid Larry Shapiro like the plague! I don't know much about the above but Dr Rose comes recommended.
  9. Lets see some photos and we will make up our own minds whether it's good, bad or average.
  10. He's done some great films: The Bald Ultimatum, Good Wig Hunting, and my personal favourite, Graft Zone. lol
  11. It doesn't look too bad. I wish my hairline was at least as good as that! Maybe try the concealers as suggested. BTW you look a bit like Matt Damon! I just googled and you're a dead ringer in that 1st photo!!
  12. Never heard of him but I found this and reference to Ziering: "Dr Camilo Diaz is a Consultant Dermatologist based in Birmingham. Dr Diaz deals with all aspects of General Dermatology but special interests include Skin Cancer and in particular Dermatologic Surgery, where he routinely undertakes complex reconstructions after removing skin cancers, with great cosmetic results. Cosmetic Dermatology and non invasive procedures such as Botox and Fillers are also an area of his expertise , where he has accumulated many years of experience, with more than 2500 combined procedures undertaken After training with two of the best Hair Restoration Surgeons in the world (in Beverly Hills and Minneapolis), Dr Diaz is performing the same procedures in the U.K. with excellent results." You could contact him and ask for examples of his work.
  13. I'm surprised you opted for a transplant as your hairloss is agressive and most docs probably wouldn't have recommended it, especially as you're not taking finasteride. Also, you have a good shaped head for the buzz cut.
  14. Yes, I had side effects - headaches mainly. I gave up the pills after 3 months of using them and trying different doseages. The sides disappeared after a few days of stopping. I certainly don't regret trying and think that for anyone in good health, wanting to save their hair, it is worth a try. I'm considering trying again on a very small dose - 1 tablet a week.
  15. I've never thought Warne has worn a wig either. His hair has receeded over the years but not that much. Michael Vaughn looks quite good in his, but I'm sure joe-public wouldn't get as great a result as him
  16. Probably 2500-3500. Maybe even more depending on density
  17. pharmacydirectgb seems kosher. Never used them myself though.
  18. Agree it looks like a NW3. The fin will be helpign which is great. May be worth considering regaine, once a day like I do. It will help to strengthen existing hairs. No need to rush into any ops now as it looks ok to me. Wait another 5 years.
  19. The same stage it was the other day! ..Norwood 2.75 I reckon
  20. pharmacydirectgb..... sells Avodart. Never used the company but it seems legit.
  21. I've no idea if they are any good but I do know of a place that does systems called emPower. Search 'Empower hair London' and you should find it.
  22. If I'm honest I'm not blown away. I wouldn't have touched the crown. I wish you all the best and a great result.
  23. Boots is too pricey - about GBP70 for 3 tins. I get mine off ebay, the last time was 4 tins of US Rogaine Foam for about GBP45. I use Alpecin and have done for about 5 years. I don't think it works at all though.
  24. Hard to tell but from the photo it looks like a sensible hairline location
