  1. I use it from crown to hairline (I'm an emerging NW 4A approx) and my hair is about 2 inches long and messy. Shaking the can and then spraying walnut sided amounts in between hair I then massage it in. I probably use about 2 capfuls, or enough until I can tell my scalp has a decent coating of the stuff. I only use it at night. It has worked quite well and I've used it for 7 months now.
  2. I've used UK Regaine, US Kirkland and US Rogaine, all ordered from ebay or Amazon. I found the UK stuff foams best. The US versions are more watery. The Kirkland and Rogaine seemed virtually identical. The effectiveness has been the same with all, but if I had the choice I'd go with the UK stock.
  3. I've seen some of his other videos where he demonstrates the punch and also a motorised extractor. Both aren't nearly as 'brutal' as in the video above. The patient above may have a 'tough' scalp compared to others and require a bit more force. Perhaps that's why he has to use the saline and more force with the punch. I'm no expert but that is my theory. At the end of the day it's a results business and I've not seen any bad stories about Dr Diep.
  4. FUT is a lot easier to hide, but FUE has to be shaved down. Only for small FUE sessions would it be possible to hide the donor area.
  5. Tough call and probably not enough info to give an opinion on here. I'd try contacting a few docs who are good at repair cases. They would need to have a good look at your head to see how everything is haping up, how many grafts you have left in the bank etc.. You could try a shorter hairstyle and experiment with hair fibres. I think it would be better to hang on as long as possible before a second procedure.
  6. No one 'needs' a hair transplant, but if it bugs you then there are options out there. I think we would need some better pictures, age info etc, to give an opinion as to what would look good.
  7. I can't see any difference. When I was on Fin I saw less shedding. If you have no side effects then that's great. Rogain foam, once a day (at night) wouldbe a great addition.
  8. I would go Rahal and get the front sorted and as much as the mid-scalp to crown done as possible.
  9. A similar thing happened to me. Stick with it and you will see good results after another 2 months. I dye my hair which helps add some colour to those regrown hairs.
  10. Laser treatment can be paticularly harmful to your wallet. Oh, and it doesnt work either.
  11. Between Norwood 4 and 4A heading towards a 5A. You have a few great guys in Canada - Hasson & Wong and Rahal, and the donor area looks good. Usual advice applies: Try the big 3 for 6-9 months: (Propecia, Minoxidil, Nizoral Shampoo) ...and do plenty of research into HTs. There are a lot of crooks out there. In this day and age there is no need to have a bad HT provided you do your homework.
  12. I used fin for 3 months, got side affects, stopped and returned to normal in about 1 week. It's worth a try. I don't believe a lot of the scare stories about permanent affects but that's my opinion. You should ditch the Advanced Hair Studio Lazer Therapy. That company is universally considered a waste of space.
  13. No thanks. None of us want a ferrett taped to our head.
  14. I agree with the others, I'd wait a few years to see how it develops. You look good with short hair which is a huge bonus. I've never been a massive fan of transplanting into areas where there's a decent density already and it seems you still have a fair amount of hair on top apart from the crown.
  15. I'm not surprise they said that. Even with FUE I doubt you would be able to get enough grafts for a meaningful transformation. My advice? The Vin Diesel look... I only wish I could pull it off myself but I don't have the skin tone for it!!
  16. Your donor looks a bit weak to me. Perhaps do an online consult with 5 or 6 doctors on here and see what you get back.
  17. Hard to tell from the photos but... 1)Sort out your diet and excercise. 2)You're in the UK. Arrange an appointment with Farjo if you can get to Manchester or London. 3)I inherited hair characteristics mostly from my mothers side, i.e. same type of dense hair and same loss as her brothers. So it could go the other way.. 4)Consider using Regaine Foam or Propecia.
  18. I can see where the doctor's coming from in terms of not having a HT. If you do I reckon you should go for a fairly conservative but improved hairline, 3000-3500 grafts. If you can hold out another 5 years that might be better.
  19. If your Donor is good you could get a hairline similar to Jason Gardiner's (Camp TV celeb in the UK). He had about 3500 grafts and it looks pretty good. You're probably looking at $11,000.
  20. Sorry to say it but there is nothing wrong with your hair! 99% of us don't keep a Justin Beiber hairline. Genetics can skip generations so in theory you could go bald but that seems unlikely based on what I can see. If you're really worried then get on Propecia and Rogaine, wash hair once a week with Nizoral shampoo.
  21. They seem to be offering the following deal at the moment: For FUE followers: Up to 1500 grafts GBP3.00 per graft 1500 + grafts GBP2.00 per graft For FUT traditionalists: Up to 2000 grafts GBP2.00 per graft 2000 + grafts GBP1.00 per graft I guess the Greek crisis may be affecting business, but 4000 grafts FUT for GBP6000 is pretty low.
  22. It's worth a go. You can get 3 months worth for 30 dollars so it's not going to break the bank for most people. I'm an emerging NW4A and don't regret getting on it. It's nice to get some hair back no matter how small.
  23. New photos. Not seeing much new growth but everthing seems stable.
