  1. Looks very good. My question is that since the transplanted hairs were in the front, did you have for a period longer hair in the back and shorter fuzz in the front. Was it obvious during that period that the front hairs were transplanted?
  2. Just curious, about how much did you bring your forelock area down (to improve the high forehead). The temples looked like they have filled in nicely
  3. Many of the experiences use people with stage ii or iii hair loss. What about people who have iia or iiia where doctors have to recreate the central frontal area as opposed to filling in a defined area that is thin. Is that something that can look natural?
  4. Hello all, I've been perusing these forums for a long time but never really took the plunge for transplant. My hair thinning on top and severely receding in the front and temples, maybe 1/2-3/4 inch. This would be where I would concentrate any procedure but this seems like a large area to cover with density. Hairlines seem to be the most obvious place where transplants can look bad. Realistically, how many transplants units would be required in the from to cover 3 square inches in bare skin and make this look realistic. Can one make a hairline look realistically dense? Thanks for your help
  5. So I've had a receding hairline for years but over the last two years have seen a significant thinning of the top. I started rogaine one year ago and mostly saw shedding but no real regrowth. I started propecia one month ago and really almost immediately the shedding stopped, even when I continued rogaine. About 2 weeks after starting more hairs coming out but maybe 1/2 as much as before starting propecia. I'd like to get a transplant in the hairline and frontal third, preferably FUE. Should I wait to see what propecia does over the year or should i just pull the trigger. I think i need 2000-3000 for a good repair as of now. Thanks! C
  6. Thank you jotronic. I like the area you filled in, especially side view. Doesn't look like you thought the very front of my hairline should be moved down at all although I thought that might be a good idea, even say 3/8" or 1/4". any reason for that specifically? That seems unbelievable that that was a strip surgery. Is this a typical outcome when you take the strip at that position or did this guy just get extremely lucky? Also, does taking grafts higher up risk taking follicles thy will eventually be lost. The reason I wanted fue in the first place was to continue wearing my hair short. If this is not the typical result I would say I would rather do 2000 grafts fue as I never though I looked well with long hair in the back. What kind of density would we expect with 3000 grafts. Thanks for your help
  7. Hello all, Wanted to get your opinions on what I can do. I am mid 30's, thinning since late 20's but worse in the last 2 years. I've been on rogaine (mainly use in the front) for 1 year with little benefit. I have not been on propecia. Over the past year there has been more general thinning on the top as can be seen in my semi wet photo with hair up. Files show what I would like to do with my hairline but please tell me if this is too optimistic. I like my hair short, that is a 1.5 on the sides. I was hoping to do FUE to rebuild the hairline and maybe get some thickness in the frontal part Question: #1: can I achieve this goal realistically and how many grafts will it take? #2: if not realistic, how far would other people try to extend the hairline down. #3: can't miss too much work, can I do this without shaving the top? #4: can travel but I do live in CA, who should I go to? Thank you so much for your help.
  8. Hello, I am new to this forum and would like opinions. I was thinking of getting a hair transplant to improve my receding hairline which i estimate has receded 1/2 inch. Grafts would go into completely bald areas. Is this advisable, can you get decent coverage in completely bald areas? And how many hairs would you need? How much coverage could you make with about 2000 grafts? (I was told this was the maximum FUE) in one session. Thanks for all your help C
